According to information from at least six individuals with knowledge of the matter, Meta Platforms, Inc., the parent company of Facebook, has been in talks in recent weeks to invest in Indian fintech payment startup Cred.
The proposed transaction would value the company at $4 billion, which is equivalent to approximately 3.8 trillion Indian rupees.
This suggested valuation of $4 billion is slightly higher than the company's reduced valuation of $3.5 billion in 2025.
However, it remains significantly lower than the $6.4 billion valuation the company achieved during its last major funding round in 2022.
