The 2025 "Million Talents Gather in South Guangdong" Autumn Large-Scale Comprehensive Job Fair commenced on the 27th at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian). The event brought together 1,825 key employers, offering over 65,000 high-quality positions, and attracted more than 120,000 students from over 1,700 domestic and international universities to register. Serving as the year-end highlight of Guangdong's "Million Talents Gather in South Guangdong" action plan, this job fair, themed "Gathering Talents in Guangdong, Meeting the Future," featured nearly half of its positions with annual salaries exceeding 200,000 yuan. Over 4,000 positions offered salaries between 500,000 and 1 million yuan, and more than 600 positions offered over 1 million yuan annually. Salaries for core positions targeting PhDs, postdoctoral researchers, and leading talents were negotiable, with "no upper limit."

The job fair was a coordinated effort across all 21 cities in Guangdong Province, creating a talent recruitment matrix that covers entire industries, the whole province, and complete industrial chains. Over 40 Fortune Global 500 companies, including Huawei, Tencent, and BYD COMPANY, brought their core positions. More than 300 listed companies, such as TCL and Ubtech, released a massive number of openings. Over 400 "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" enterprises, like New Energy and Yuanrong Qixing, showcased their innovation potential. More than 250 central and state-owned enterprises, including CGNPC, China Southern Power Grid, and China Southern Airlines, extended job offers. Furthermore, over 50 research institutions like the Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou Laboratory, and Pengcheng Laboratory, along with more than 360 universities and hospitals such as Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, focused on recruiting scientific research and specialized technical talent.

The job fair catered to various types of talent, including fresh graduates, interns, students from China and abroad, and skilled professionals, with a wide range of educational requirements. On-site, nearly 9,000 positions were available for PhD holders, over 12,000 for master's degree holders, and more than 35,000 for bachelor's degree holders. Companies like Fangda, XPeng, and Sunwoda also offered over 8,000 positions for associate degree holders.

The首次设立的 "Chain Leader Enterprise Zone" emerged as a major highlight. Eight renowned chain leader enterprises, including BYD COMPANY, Gree, Tencent, and China Southern Power Grid, took the lead, collaborating with over 80 upstream and downstream supply chain companies for group recruitment, collectively demonstrating the talent needs across the entire industrial chain. A special "APEC Talent Matchmaking Service Zone" was set up, leveraging the opportunity of the 2026 APEC Summit being held in Shenzhen. It gathered 34 foreign-invested enterprises from APEC economies operating in Guangdong and Chinese companies intending to expand overseas, providing high-quality positions targeting foreign talents and returnees, thereby helping talent connect with international opportunities and integrate into the global development network.

The job fair broke through traditional recruitment models by organically integrating the recruitment area with exhibition areas, creating a "Future Avenue" that combines job matching, industry displays, cultural experiences, and service guarantees. On the "Future Avenue," technology and humanities complemented each other brilliantly. A "Robot Martial Arts Contest" assembled leading companies in the embodied intelligence field, such as Shiyuan Electronics, Ubtech, and Zhongqing, with several humanoid robots performing to the tune of "A Man Should Strengthen Himself." BYD COMPANY's pure electric supercar Yangwang U9 shared the stage with EHang's passenger-carrying drone, while creative displays like robotic arms crafting lacquer fans created a strong technological atmosphere. Exhibition zones for Hong Kong, Macao, and all 21 cities of Guangdong blended city promotion, direct recruitment by famous enterprises, and intangible cultural heritage creative products.

Zhang Jin, Executive Vice President of Peking University, stated at the job fair that Guangdong has recently become the top choice for employment for Peking University graduates outside of Beijing, with Shenzhen becoming their preferred city outside the capital. On average, nearly 1,000 Peking University graduates come to Guangdong for employment annually, over 70% of whom choose to work in Shenzhen. Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD COMPANY, shared the company's development journey at the event, saying, "We care about employee growth, diligently train every fresh graduate, and even place outstanding talents directly into pivotal roles. Half of the general managers I directly supervise have grown from fresh university graduates. Our fresh graduates have always grown together with the company, achieving mutual success for individuals and the enterprise."

Li Bo, a student majoring in Electronic and Information Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology, mentioned that as he was directly admitted to postgraduate studies without taking the entrance exam after his undergraduate degree, he had never attended a job fair before; this was his first experience with a large-scale recruitment event. His job search intentions are focused on major internet companies, Huawei, and telecommunications enterprises, hoping to find suitable job opportunities through this event. The resume analysis and suggestions provided by on-site mentors offered him significant help in his job search.
