Nvidia and AMD have agreed to give the U.S. government 15% of revenues from chip sales in China as part of an unusual arrangement with the Trump administration to secure export licences for the Chinese market granted last week, according to people familiar with the matter, including a U.S. official.
The official said Nvidia will share 15% of H20 chip revenues in China, while AMD will provide the same percentage from MI308 chip revenues. Two sources familiar with the deal said the Trump administration has not yet decided how to use the funds.
