Japan's Ministry of Finance and Financial Services Agency are reportedly planning to introduce tax incentives for individual investors in government bonds as part of their fiscal 2027 tax reform package.
The proposed measures aim to boost retail participation in the government bond market, a segment traditionally dominated by institutional players.
