ASX Slips; Energy Stocks Fall on Lower Oil Price

The S&P/ASX 200 fell 0.4 per cent to 7452 in Tuesday morning trading, weighed down by losses across the energy sector after the fall in oil prices.

G8 Education dipped 1.4 per cent to $1.07 after reporting that the high volume of omicron cases materially impacted its revenue, occupancy and employment costs in January and February.

Lynas slid 0.4 per cent to $9.79 after reporting record quarterly production and sales revenue for the period ending March 31.

Shares in Pendal declined 09 per cent to $5.25 after it rejected Perpetual’s takeover offer and announced a $100 million buyback. Perpetual climbed 0.6 per cent to $32.48.

Seven Group is trading ex-dividend and dropped 2 per cent to $20.51.
