Circle Shares Surge Over 7% Following Expanded Stablecoin Partnership with Upbit Parent in South Korea

On Monday, shares of Circle Internet Corp. (CRCL.US) rose more than 7%, reaching $94.65. The increase follows news that on April 13, the issuer of the stablecoin USDC, Circle, partnered with Dunamu, the operator of South Korea's largest virtual asset exchange, Upbit, to collaborate in the digital asset space, including on stablecoins. Dunamu stated that it has signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Circle and is discussing cooperative initiatives in the digital asset sector, which include stablecoins and joint educational programs.
