Supply chain disruption due to worsening Covid-19 Delta variant is certainly bad news for world economy growth, which will have a negative impact on the stock market. Consumers are also likely to see escalating increase in prices. In fact, the US Labor Depart had reported last week that its consumer price index rose 5.4% in July from a year earlier, the largest jump since August 2008. The current bullish stock market sentiment can change from bull to bear overnight. Better to err on the safe side and keep ample reserves.
