Nike Q3 Earnings and Revenues Beat Estimates

Nike (NKE) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.87 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.73 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.90 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

Nike shares rose 5.81% in the extended trading.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 19.18%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this athletic apparel maker would post earnings of $0.63 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.83, delivering a surprise of 31.75%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates four times.

Nike , which belongs to the Zacks Shoes and Retail Apparel industry, posted revenues of $10.87 billion for the quarter ended February 2022, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 2.54%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $10.36 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
