Trending: China Bans Micron Chips in Key Infrastructure Over Security Risk

0355 GMT - Micron Technology is among the most mentioned companies in the news over the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data, after Beijing banned big Chinese companies from buying from the U.S.'s largest memory-chip maker. The Cyberspace Administration of China on Sunday said its review of Micron products found "significant security risks" that would affect national security and warned operators of critical Chinese information infrastructure against purchasing the company's goods. The ban came less than two months after Beijing opened an investigation into imports from Micron--a move seemingly aimed at hitting back at Washington for restricting exports of advanced chip-making technology to China. Micron said it is evaluating China's decision and assessing its next steps. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (farah.elias@wsj.com)
