UnitedHealthcare named Tim Noel its new chief executive officer, the company said Thursday.
He replaces Brian Thompson who was shot and killed in Midtown Manhattan in December.
Noel has been serving as head of Medicare and Retirement at UnitedHealthcare, the company said. He joined the company in 2007.
"He brings unparalleled experience to this role with a proven track record and strong commitment to improving how health care works for consumers, physicians, employers, governments and our other partners," the company said.
