China has hit back at Trump's latest tariffs, readying a 34% tariff on all imported goods from U.S. alongside other measures.
China will impose the reciprocal tariff on imports from the U.S. starting on April 10, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council said Friday.
U.S. President Trump announced an additional 34% levy on Chinese goods on Wednesday, part of sweeping "Liberation Day" tariffs imposed on global trade partners.
China will also implement export controls on seven categories of rare-earth related items, including samarium and gadolinium, said the Ministry of Commerce and Chinese Customs.
China has also added 11 U.S. companies to the "unreliable entity list" to safeguard national sovereignty, security, development interests, the ministry said.
The list includes drone companies Skydio and BRINC Drones, as well as Neros Technologies. Entities on the list are prohibited from engaging in import and export activities related to China or making new investments in China.
Chinese customs also suspended the import licenses of six U.S. companies in a move it said was aimed at protecting the health of Chinese consumers.
