US President Donald Trump said late Wednesday his administration is set to announce a trade deal with a big country at a press conference Thursday morning.
The president said on his Truth Social account that a "major trade deal" with a "big, and highly respected country" will be announced.
Several news outlets reported that the US was set to announce a deal with the UK.
"The UK government has been seeking an agreement to lower tariffs since President Donald Trump imposed them on almost every country in the world last month," the BBC reported.
