PayPal has agreed to acquire Cymbio, a Tel Aviv-based commerce platform that helps brands sell products across multiple channels, especially AI-powered shopping experiences.
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Michelle Gill, PayPal's general manager of small business and financial services, said the acquisition will help merchants increase sales by making their products available directly within artificial intelligence platforms, while also expanding consumer choice.
"PayPal has established itself as a leading commerce partner for merchants looking to sell within top AI platforms," she said. "Acquiring Cymbio's technology and team will enhance our agentic commerce capabilities and accelerate the expansion to more of our merchants."
PayPal previously partnered with Cymbio to help brands sell through platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. The companies plan to expand those offerings to additional AI platforms, including OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.
As part of the acquisition, PayPal said it will expand Store Sync, a commerce service that makes merchants' product data discoverable within AI channels and allows orders to flow directly into existing fulfillment and management systems.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
