Healthcare stocks were higher Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index rising 0.6% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) adding 0.2%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) climbed up 1%.
In corporate news, Novo Nordisk (NVO) on Tuesday sued rival Eli Lilly (LLY) in the US over alleged "misleading" advertising campaigns for its obesity and diabetes drugs that compete with the Danish drugmaker's products. Novo shares were down 0.6%, and Lilly was rising 1.1%.
