President Donald Trump announced on August 18 that he is nominating Kyle Reardon to serve as a judge on the United States District Court for the District of Alaska. Reardon currently serves as a Magistrate Judge on the Federal Court in Alaska and previously worked as a Federal Prosecutor in Alaska and California, as well as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army JAG Corps.

Reardon is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and Centre College. In his announcement, Trump stated, "I have wonderful news for the Great State of Alaska — I am honored to nominate Kyle Reardon to serve as Judge on the United States District Court for the District of Alaska." He added, "The people of Alaska are lucky to have a Public Servant and Patriot like Kyle on the Bench."

The nomination is subject to confirmation by the U.S. Senate. If confirmed, Reardon would fill a vacancy on the district court in Alaska.
