Henry Schein to Distribute Applied BioCode's MDx-3000 System in US

Henry Schein (HSIC) has signed a distribution agreement to expand the availability of molecular diagnostic technology provider Applied BioCode's BioCode MDx-3000 System, Applied BioCode said on Tuesday.

Applied BioCode said the technology is an automated, high-throughput multiplex molecular diagnostic platform to support high-complexity clinical laboratories. The testing menu, the company said, includes upper respiratory and gastrointestinal infection panels, as well as a customizable menu option.

The agreement states that Henry Schein will distribute the MDx-3000 System and its associated assays to hospitals, health systems, and reference laboratories in the US, Applied BioCode said.

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
