Sea (SE) plans to launch an artificial intelligence-focused enterprise cloud platform and is considering a public listing for its financial services unit, Monee, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing an internal company memo.
The new Sea Cloud platform builds on infrastructure developed to support the company's e-commerce, gaming and financial services businesses, the report said.
Monee offers digital wallets, payments processing, credit and other financial services across Southeast Asia and Latin America. The public listing could help the unit expand its operations, the report said.
Monee has been Sea's fastest-growing business in recent quarters, according to the report.
Sea did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
