Visa (V), financial software platform BILL (BILL), and B2B accounts receivable firm Biiltrust said Tuesday that they have launched a live pilot program for software agents to complete corporate invoice payments through supplier portals.
The companies said the pilot is designed to allow pre-approved software agents to handle end-to-end payment for corporate buyers, which the companies said will eliminate manual data entry and accounts payable workflows.
The system does not make payment decisions or require sharing portal logins, and only implements eligible payments already approved by buyers, according to the companies.
