Twilio Sets Bar for Beat Motion Amid Deceleration, Oppenheimer Says

Twilio (TWLO) Q3 revenue and gross profit growth decelerated modestly from Q2, driven by Messaging deceleration and tough comparisons, Oppenheimer said in a Thursday note.

"We expect this inflection to weigh near-term as investors realign expectations," the report said.

The report said its Q3 results were ahead of consensus but year-on-year organic revenue and gross profit growth of 15.7% and 17.7% were slower than Q2's 16.7% and 18.1%, respectively.

The note pointed to carrier fee increases as potentially impacting messaging momentum.

Still, the report said its initial 2027 organic growth guidance of over 10% was conservative.

"This sets a bar for a beat/raise motion," it said. Oppenheimer kept its outperform rating and a $325 price target.
