Sector Update: Healthcare Stocks Rise Late Afternoon

Healthcare stocks were higher late Friday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index rising 0.5% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) adding 0.4%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was little changed.

In corporate news, AbbVie (ABBV) raised its 2026 guidance on Friday as its immunology and neuroscience businesses delivered better-than-expected Q3 sales. Shares rose 1%.

AstraZeneca (AZN) shares jumped past 6% after it posted higher fiscal Q3 core net income and revenue.

Incyte (INCY) shares rose 3.1% after Oppenheimer upgraded the stock to outperform from market perform, with a price target of $144 per share.

Sanofi (SNY) shares gained 2.7% after it reported higher fiscal Q3 business net income and revenue, and raised its outlook.
