Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google has reached an agreement to give the UK trade union Prospect access to thousands of UK employees, including at its King's Cross headquarters, the union said Monday.

The agreement follows a new right of access, effective Oct. 30, granting unions the right to communicate directly with non-unionized workers for the first time, Prospect said.

The deal allows Prospect to engage with employees in person and digitally, including holding membership sessions at Google offices, it added.

"This step builds on our established work with internal employee representative groups, allowing us to fulfil these new requirements while preserving the respectful, direct dialogue our culture is built on," a Google spokesperson was quoted by the union as saying.

Google didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
