The YU7 will be the ultimate challenge to Tesla's brand and emotional value. Leaving other aspects aside, compared with the updated Model Y, the YU7 is indeed much more aesthetically pleasing. The customer positioning for buying Xiaomi and Tesla is actually very similar. Cost-effectiveness has never been the core pursuit—just being passable is enough—while the emotional value brought by the brand is the core decision-making factor. As Musk has been making a mess of political matters in the past two years, when comparing Lei Jun, the gentle and refined president, with Musk, the unruly and domineering president, people are gradually disillusioned with the latter.
