Stock Rises 5.8%, Warrant Jumps 17.1% – Pop Mart Breakout & Project Target Review

08-27

In the earlier analysis https://ttm.financial/post/470164191429216, we highlighted a cup and handle breakout in Pop Mart, projecting a target around HKD 339 after clearing the key resistance at 287.

Looking at the performance data between 22 Aug 2025 and 27 Aug 2025:

  • Underlying Stock (Pop Mart):

Rose from HKD 320 to HKD 339 (highest reached was 339.8).

That’s a gain of about +5.8% in 5 trading days.

  • Call Warrant ( $PopMart MB eCW251104(XY5W.SI)$ ):

    Increased from 0.07 to 0.082.

That’s a sharper gain of +17.1% over the same period.

Key Takeaways:

  • The underlying stock successfully reached the projected breakout target of 339, validating the earlier chart analysis.

  • The warrant delivered a 3x leveraged return compared with the stock’s performance in the same timeframe.

  • This illustrates how warrants can be used tactically to amplify short-term gains when a clear technical breakout setup, like the cup and handle, plays out.

  • While warrants magnify upside potential, they also magnify losses if the underlying moves in the opposite direction.

  • Warrants are best suited for short-term, event-driven trades with clear technical or fundamental catalysts.
