🌟🌟🌟As a small retail investor, I prefer $Gold Trust Ishares(IAU)$ instead of $SPDR Gold ETF(GLD)$ as it has a lower entry point of USD 98.57 currently compared to GLD's USD 481.28.

IAU also has a lower expense ratio of 0.25% compared to GLD's higher expense ratio of 0.40%.

IAU is a physically backed grantor trust that holds Gold bullion in secure, audited vaults.  This structure ensures that shareholders own a fractional undivided interest in real gold rather than derivatives.

I have been fortunate to have bought IAU last year before the incredible upward momentum in Gold prices.  I bought IAU as a tactical bet against inflation and to diversify my portfolio.

With the current mayhem in the US market due to the Supreme Court ruling on Trump's Tariffs and his counter measure of 15% new tariff, I am so glad that I have IAU in my portfolio as a defensive play against market volatility and safe haven status.
