I'm still learning. I'm down two times my annual income.

I'm getting used to volatility because I know I'm holding good companies. Hope to get some support here, please like and follow. Comment if you have similar experience and how you held on.

trade within your means. only buy shares that you research and is convicted for it's growth. market is not casino. time in market beats timing the market and therefore, holding power is important.

    repeat, trade within your means.

not leveraging at all. and I agree with you, my conviction has been tested multiple times these days 👍 no wonder you are prestige level. I hope to be a better investor 🙂‍↕️

I would recommend starting with some ETF instead of individual stocks. They will give you a balanced exposure and mostly reduced risk.

if there is a bad news on nvdia, it will affect the stock price but if your ETF have other companies, the downward pressure on the ETF price could be minimal depending on the ETFs allocation for the stock. just my 2cents

I am holding ETF, I am holding it in another account. following the stock/bond theory, I do make sure my exposure is not just individual stocks 🙏

2 times your annual incomes? that is a lot of your savings... u may want to re - examine how u invest or trade... and I hv a similar question to MrCray.
    • BillyR
I was learning how to do options. I exited my position last Dec and re-entered at a higher price hence the drawdown. this platform reset the entry price because of that. overall ROR is based on how much I invested against the net balance.

You have high ROR% and high winning rate. How come you are down negative?
    • Pluto891
This is also the question I intend to ask... it does not quite make sense or we are missing something here.

You are having an impressive RoR, you should be making good profit overall, no?
    • ShyonReplyBillyR
If I understand well the return is really 10x in this case, which is extremely impressive, good job bro!
    • BillyRReplyShyon
yes, it includes all monies deposited. Current balance against the total deposit. This means I officially 10x my deposits. as of today
    • ShyonReplyBillyR
Do you mean the RoR provided by Tiger actually include the deposit amount that you added monthly before? hmmmm
    • BillyR
depends on how u define it. I do put in monthly for 6 years before I got to where I am. I would say I am halfway to my goal

DCA is your friend.  investment is a marathon not a sprint.
    • BillyR
I don't do regular DCA after my acc hit where it was today. my money went towards bonds these two years to keep a balanced stock/bond ratio.
