Spain beat France 2–0 to book its place in the World Cup final.
🇪🇸 France had scored 16 goals before the semifinal, but Spain shut down its attack. Mikel Oyarzabal converted a first-half penalty, and Pedro Porro made it 2–0 after the break.Spain has now conceded just one goal in seven matches and is one win away from its first World Cup title since 2010.
Next up: England vs. Argentina.
England is chasing its first World Cup final appearance since 1966, while defending champion Argentina is looking to go back-to-back. For Lionel Messi, this could be the final chapter of his World Cup career.
Who will face Spain in the final—and who will lift the trophy on July 20?

For the final, I'm backing Spain to win 2–1. Spain has looked incredibly balanced throughout the tournament, conceding just one goal so far, and their defensive discipline gives them a slight edge. It would also be a fitting way for Spain to lift its first World Cup trophy since 2010.
From an investment perspective, I'm keeping an eye on $Airbnb, Inc.(ABNB)$ , $Visa(V)$ and $Robinhood(HOOD)$ . Strong travel demand, higher consumer spending, and growing interest in prediction markets could continue to support these stocks as the World Cup reaches its climax.

No one has played more World Cup football than Lionel Messi. That alone is monumental. It is longevity at the highest level, across 5 tournaments and still performing at elite level in 2026.
When you combine goals + assists , Messi is No. 1 all time. He has 13 World Cup goals, 10 World Cup assists and 23 total goal contributions on record - the highest ever recorded.
Don't Cry Argentina because you don't have to. This time Argentina walks into the finale not as underdogs but as a nation carrying destiny on its shoulders.
Spain may have the Defense but Argentina has the fire! My heart says Argentina will win this World Cup. Lionel Messi, your king will give you one last dance.

Everyone lives happily ever after.
Seriously though, it would be monumental if England beats Argentina, finally washing the bitter taste of Maradona's "hand of god".
How that was allowed to stay in the annals of football's history, I never will understand.
If England scores the breakthrough, the momentum should power them over Spain and be the champions.
England winning 2-1 to be the Champion!
