Memory Stocks Rebound Together — So Why Did SanDisk Alone Close Lower?
Memory rallied with semis Tuesday: Micron +2.48%, SK Hynix +2.68%, SOXL +4.06%. The exception was SanDisk, −0.83% — the former leader and the crowded trade, first to be trimmed when everything else is up. Nvidia's warning that AI server prices rise 15%+ on memory costs means upstream increases are now passed downstream, not absorbed. Risks both ends: higher prices raise the buyer's capex hurdle, and Samsung's record payout plan could not hold its share price. Tonight's Nvidia gross margin guidance is the read. Chase Micron and Hynix, wait for SanDisk to clear, or read the guidance first?
