$Intel(INTC)$ Politics aside, some argue that President Trump or the Trump administration is interfering with the free market by taking a U.S. stake in Intel. But South Korea's President traveled to the U.S. months ago to broker and secure the largest $500B deals for Korean memory conglomerates SK Hynix and Samsung with Nvidia and other chipmakers. Nobody raised eyebrows about the South Korean government backing their semi companies. When American national security and interests are at stake, the U.S. government has a sovereign right to reshore and protect its semi manufacturing. Stop the political correctness bs.
