August was an absolute masterclass in testing my emotional stability. If you looked at my trading charts, you would assume I let my morning caffeine levels dictate my market entry points. I started the month feeling like Warren Buffett's chosen successor, only to spend the final weeks staring at the screen wondering if "un-buying" a stock was a hidden feature Tiger Brokers forgot to unlock for me.
My trading logic this month was simple: buy the dip, watch it dip further, panic slightly, and then quickly rebrand myself as a "long-term value investor" to cope with the red days. One of my biggest wins was resisting the urge to check my portfolio every four minutes, which significantly improved my daily stress levels.
The main lesson August taught me is that the market has a personal sense of humor, and its favorite punchline is hitting my stop-loss right before a massive rally.
Hang in there!
