$Microsoft(MSFT)$ Celebrating small wins!

Microsoft is currently dominated by AI monetization progress (Copilot seats, E7 tier, usage-based pricing) and a cleaner Azure reporting structure, while the stock sits at ~$512.8 (2026-10-02) — about 7.4% below its 52-week high and in the 80th percentile of its 52-week range.

Fundamentals remain strong on profitability (ROE ~34%, net margin ~39.7%) and revenue growth (~17.8%), but the key tension is capital intensity: free-cash-flow growth has turned sharply negative while the forward P/E has compressed to ~25.8x versus a ~30.8x historical average — a cheaper multiple that partly reflects that spending pressure.

ROE and margin look great on paper, but how much of that is real operating quality versus balance-sheet optics. If FCF is rolling over, the earnings quality story gets way less comfortable

25.8x for Microsoft with Azure plus Copilot scaling still does not look expensive to me. Capex is heavy, sure, but that spend is buying future margin
