The S&P 500 rose 1.28% in September, but most stocks fell.
📊 Meta, AMD $美國超微公司(AMD)$ , Nvidia, Intel $英特爾(INTC)$ and Micron $美光科技(MU)$ added 2.14 points between them, or 167% of the index's gain.
📉 The other 498 stocks took away 0.86 points.
📉 379 of the 503 stocks (75%) ended the month lower, and the median stock lost 5.1%.
⚖️ The big moves leaned the same way: 101 stocks fell more than 10%, compared with 36 that rose more than 10%.
Four of the five leaders are chipmakers. Without them, September would have been a down month for the index.
