Haze, F1, and zero crowds. The rare quiet side of Singapore.

Stock market's off for the weekend, and honestly, the city is matching that exact vibe.

Today wasn't its usual crisp self—it looked soft, muted, almost brushed over with a thin layer of sepia haze, probably because of the F1 race. The air carried that unmistakable, slightly burnt wood smell.

Usually, this spot is packed. Runners weaving past each other, cyclist cliques zipping by. Today? Hardly a soul in sight, outdoor activities stalled. Everyone was indoors, windows sealed, air purifiers humming on high.

I rolled out my yoga mat on the quiet deck, expecting the usual ambient noise of traffic and chatter, but it was replaced by a rare, still calm. There’s something surprisingly peaceful about seeing a city as fast-paced as Singapore just... slow down.

No crowds pushing through, no blazing heat beating down—just a quiet, foggy morning, a cool breeze off the water, and time to breathe. It’s an odd silver lining to hazy days, but for an hour before the city completely woke up, the silence felt entirely mine.
