Circle closed Thursday around $84.5, up roughly 4.5%, after spending much of the past two weeks trapped in the low-to-mid $80s.
That rebound matters.
But I do not think CRCL has broken out yet.
For next week, I see $88 as the first gate, $90-$92 as the real confirmation zone, and $100 as the level that could pull momentum traders back in quickly.
My base case is that CRCL tests higher next week, but I expect volatility because the macro backdrop is fighting the company-specific story.
The micro story is improving.
The macro story is not nearly as friendly.
That tension is exactly what makes next week interesting.
First, What Changed in the Chart?
CRCL traded as low as $78.88 on Wednesday, then rallied to an intraday high of $87.60 on Thursday before closing around $84.5.
That gives me three immediate levels:
$80-$82: buyers have appeared here
$87.60-$88: immediate resistance
$90-$92: bigger breakout test
The encouraging part is that CRCL rejected sub-$80 prices quickly.
The less encouraging part is that it could not hold Thursday's move above $87.
So I would describe the current structure as:
Bottoming attempt, not confirmed breakout.
That distinction matters.
I would rather buy weakness near support or buy a confirmed breakout than chase the middle.
Macro Factor 1: Bitcoin Is Still CRCL's Biggest Sentiment Lever
Bitcoin has recently been trading around the mid-$80Ks after failing to hold higher levels.
That matters even though Circle is not Bitcoin.
When BTC falls because liquidity conditions tighten, crypto equities usually feel it too.
My BTC map for CRCL next week is simple:
BTC below $83K: CRCL headwind
BTC $83K-$87K: neutral
BTC above $87K: supportive
BTC above $90K: potentially powerful CRCL momentum catalyst
If Bitcoin breaks $90K while CRCL simultaneously clears $90-$92, I would not be surprised to see CRCL move toward $100 much faster than people expect.
But BTC alone is not enough.
CRCL is ultimately an earnings story, not a Bitcoin proxy.
Macro Factor 2: The 10-Year Yield Is the Bigger Threat
The US 10-year Treasury yield is around 5.25%, after recently touching approximately 5.3%-5.36%.
That is uncomfortable for CRCL.
There is an interesting contradiction here.
Higher rates increase the income Circle can earn from the reserves backing USDC.
That is fundamentally positive.
But higher Treasury yields also increase the discount rate investors apply to high-growth stocks and pressure crypto liquidity.
So higher rates help the business while potentially hurting the stock multiple.
That is why I will be watching the 10-year almost as closely as BTC.
My rough macro map:
10Y below 5.15%: bullish for CRCL
5.15%-5.30%: manageable
Above 5.30%: pressure
Toward 5.40%+: risk-off warning
This could be the hidden variable behind next week's CRCL move.
Macro Factor 3: Inflation Is the Event Risk
Next week's US inflation data matters because markets are trying to work out whether the Fed needs another rate hike.
Energy prices remain elevated, so headline inflation could stay uncomfortable.
For CRCL, the market reaction matters more than the headline itself.
A softer inflation reading could push yields down, weaken the dollar and improve crypto liquidity.
That would probably be the cleanest macro setup for CRCL to attack $90-$92.
A hotter reading could push yields back toward recent highs.
In that scenario, I would expect CRCL to retest the low $80s.
So my preferred combination next week is:
Inflation benign + 10Y falls + BTC rises + CRCL clears $88.
If all four occur together, I become substantially more bullish.
The Micro Story Is Quietly Getting Better
This is where I think CRCL becomes more interesting than a generic crypto trade.
Circle recently announced a $100M strategic investment from Binance, alongside an expanded partnership and renewed five-year commercial agreement.
That matters because Binance gives USDC enormous potential distribution.
Circle has also been expanding Arc.
And this week another piece arrived: Circle announced an enterprise partnership with Tereina, an SAP-backed company, designed to bring USDC and EURC into business workflows connected to the SAP ecosystem.
That is important because the long-term Circle thesis cannot simply be:
Crypto traders use more USDC.
The much larger thesis is:
Stablecoins become financial infrastructure.
Payments.
Settlement.
Enterprise treasury.
Cross-border transactions.
Banking infrastructure.
Machine-to-machine payments.
Agentic commerce.
That is the rerating opportunity.
But There Is One Number I Cannot Ignore
Circle still generates the overwhelming majority of its revenue from reserve income.
That means interest rates remain extremely important.
It also means USDC circulation is critical.
If USDC grows rapidly, Circle has more reserve assets generating income.
If USDC stagnates while competition increases, the valuation becomes harder to defend.
So for every new Circle partnership, I ask:
Does this eventually create more USDC circulation or higher monetisation?
If yes, I care.
If not, it is mostly a headline.
Competition Is the Micro Risk
This is the part of the CRCL story I think bulls should take seriously.
Stablecoins are becoming too important for Circle to have the field to itself.
Open USD and other emerging models are competing for distribution and economics.
Banks, payment companies, exchanges and fintechs increasingly want a piece of the stablecoin value chain.
Circle therefore has to defend both:
USDC market share
and
the economics of that market share.
That is why I do not value CRCL simply by saying stablecoins will grow.
I think stablecoins almost certainly will grow.
The investment question is:
How much of that growth will Circle monetise?
CRCL Pick Levels for Next Week
At approximately $84.5, I am interested, but this is not my favourite place to chase.
$82-$84: First Pick
This is acceptable for a starter position if BTC remains stable.
$78-$81: Preferred Pick
This is my favourite near-term risk/reward area.
Thursday's rebound suggests buyers are already interested around here.
$72-$76: Strong Pick
If CRCL reaches this zone because of macro risk-off rather than deterioration in Circle fundamentals, I become much more interested.
$87.60-$88: First Breakout Test
This is the first level I want reclaimed.
$90-$92: Confirmation
This is more important.
If CRCL clears $92 with volume while BTC and the broader crypto complex are strengthening, I would treat the move seriously.
$98-$102: First Target
This is where I expect sellers and profit-taking to return.
But if $100 becomes support rather than resistance, the character of the chart changes.
$108-$115: Bullish Extension
I would only raise my near-term expectations here if the macro backdrop becomes significantly friendlier and CRCL clears $100 convincingly.
Below $72: Thesis Check
I would investigate whether something company-specific had changed rather than automatically averaging down.
My Prediction for Next Week
Monday
My expected range is roughly $82-$88.
I expect traders to test whether Thursday's rebound has follow-through.
A move through $87.60 early that immediately gets rejected would make me cautious.
A close above $88 would improve the setup considerably.
Tuesday
Expected range: $83-$90.
If BTC remains constructive and yields stop climbing, I expect another attempt at $88-$90.
This is where momentum could begin building.
Wednesday
Expected range: $81-$91.
Macro sensitivity increases as markets position around inflation and Fed expectations.
I would expect larger intraday swings.
Thursday
Expected range: $80-$94.
This could be the decisive session.
If the macro reaction pushes yields lower and BTC higher, $90-$92 could finally break.
If yields surge, $80-$82 comes back into play.
Friday
My base-case range is $84-$96.
If CRCL has already reclaimed $92, I would watch for a late-week attempt toward $98-$100.
If $80 breaks instead, my focus shifts toward $76-$78.
My Three Scenarios
50% Base Case: $82-$92
CRCL continues rebuilding its base, briefly tests $88-$92 but does not decisively escape.
I would trade the range rather than chase it.
30% Bull Case: $92-$102
BTC strengthens, yields stabilise or fall, and CRCL clears $90-$92.
Once that happens, I think $100 becomes a magnet.
This is my preferred breakout scenario.
20% Bear Case: $74-$80
Inflation worries push yields higher, the dollar strengthens and BTC loses $83K.
CRCL breaks $80 and momentum traders retreat.
Interestingly, if Circle-specific fundamentals remain intact, this would probably create my favourite accumulation opportunity.
The Combination That Would Make Me Aggressively Bullish
I want four things:
BTC above $90K
10Y Treasury below 5.15%
CRCL above $92
Strong volume
If those happen together, my probability of a $100-$105 move rises considerably.
If CRCL then converts $100 into support, I would begin thinking about $110-$115 rather than immediately taking everything off.
The Combination That Makes Me Defensive
The opposite setup is equally simple:
BTC below $83K
10Y above 5.35%
CRCL below $80
If all three occur together, I would not try to catch every dip.
I would wait for $76-$78 and reassess.
One More Date Matters
Circle reports Q3 earnings on 4 November.
That means we are entering the period where the market will gradually start positioning for earnings.
And this earnings report matters more than another partnership announcement.
I want to see:
USDC circulation growth.
Reserve income.
Distribution and transaction costs.
Margins.
Arc monetisation.
Evidence that new partnerships are translating into economic activity.
And most importantly, whether Circle is becoming less dependent on simply earning interest on USDC reserves.
That is what could eventually justify a sustained rerating.
My Call for Next Week
I lean moderately bullish, but I am not expecting a straight-line rally.
My highest-probability path is:
$84 → test $88 → pullback → attack $90-$92.
Then the real decision begins.
Above $92, I target $98-$102.
Above $102 with strong volume, $108-$115 becomes possible.
Below $80, I look toward $76-$78.
Below $76, I stop predicting the bounce and reassess.
My trading map:
$82-$84: First Pick
$78-$81: Preferred Pick
$72-$76: Strong Pick
$88: First Breakout
$90-$92: Confirmation
$98-$102: Target
$108-$115: Bull Extension
Below $72: Thesis Check
The biggest mistake next week would be treating CRCL as simply a leveraged Bitcoin trade.
BTC will influence the direction.
Yields will influence the valuation.
But USDC growth and Circle's ability to monetise the stablecoin economy will determine where CRCL ultimately deserves to trade.
For next week, I am watching $80 below and $92 above.
Whichever one breaks first may tell us where CRCL goes next.
I am not a financial advisor. Trade wisely, Comrades!
What is your CRCL target next week: $75, $90 or $100+?
