🎁TA Education 5|6 Common MA Patterns — Which One Do You Find Most Useful?

Hello, Tiger! Welcome to the fifth episode of our Technical Analysis series.Let‘s look at 6 commons patterns of MA!1. Upward & Downward Breakouts: Releasing Market SentimentThe Pattern: This occurs when the price candle forcibly crosses the Moving Average line after a period of interaction.Market Logic:Upward Breakout: The price surges above the MA. This signals that market sentiment has shifted from hesitation to conviction, breaking the "average cost" resistance.Downward Breakout: The price plunges below the MA. This indicates panic or profit-taking, as the "average cost" support level has failed to hold.2. Bullish & Bearish Alignment (Perfect Order): Cracking the MA CodeThe Pattern: This refers to the specific ordering of multiple Moving Averages (Short, Medium, and Long-term).M

Used MA bullish & bearish alignment to help decide buy or sell is easy. Did not wait for the rest like cross and entanglement takes a while to form.

🌟🌟🌟A good example of a Death Cross occurred for $iShares Bitcoin Trust(IBIT)$ on November 16 25.  On this date the 50 day moving average of Bitcoin's price crossed below its 200 day moving average. This strong bearish signal came after Bitcoin had already dropped about 25% from its early October peak of USD 126,000. The Death Cross signal further accelerated the selling pressure, leading to iBit ETF experiencing over USD 1.26 billion in net outflows in mid November alone.  This is the longest stretch of outflows since its launch in January 2024. This example is interesting because while the traditional interpretation of a Death Cross is a strong sell signal for an impending bear market, previous Death Crosses in Bitcoin's history actua

KIV Bearish divergence - price keeps going new highs but buying volume forms lower highs - warning to watch sharp sell-off with high volume -> start selling fast.

🌟🌟🌟A good  example of a Golden Cross occurred for $Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$ around July 2024, where its 50 day SMA crossed above its 200 day SMA. This technical indicator confirmed a major shift in investor sentiment from bearish to strongly bullish.  Short term buying pressure was now dominant and likely to persist. This event in Rocket Lab's history highlights how a Golden Cross can act as a powerful confirmation signal for a new sustained uptrend in a growth stock , validating the fundamental story with strong technical indicators. @Tiger_chat @Tiger_comments @TigerSta

🌟🌟🌟I like to use the Golden Cross and Death Cross in my technical analysis.  These chart patterns involve the crossover of 2 major moving averages typically the 50 day SMA and the 200 day SMA. I use the Golden Cross and Death Cross to confirm major shifts in market momentum and trend direction. The Golden Cross is a Bullish Buy Signal which occurs when a shorter term moving average (the 50 day SMA) crosses above a longer term moving average (the 200 day SMA). In contrast a Death Cross is the inverse pattern where the shorter term moving average (the 50 day SMA) crosses below the longer term moving average (the 200 day SMA). A Death Cross is a Bearish Sell signal which indicates the short term momentum is rapidly deteriorating and selling pressure is taking hold. Both the Golden Cross

🌟🌟🌟 $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ is a good example of a fast moving stock where recent information such as AI advancements , cloud performance or regulatory news, has a disproportionate impact on its price. I would use a shorter term EMA, such as the 10 day or 20 day EMA to analyse Google's strong rally in late 2025.    The price consistently used the rising EMA as a dynamic support level , allowing me to identify opportunities to buy in minor dips while staying aligned with the immediate powerful trend. EMA provides a more timely and effective tool for making trading decisions compared to the more slow moving generalised SMA. Google is an excellent strategy of using the EMA to ride short to medium term trends for a high growth stock like Go

🌟🌟🌟Example of   SMA in action can be seen by observing the 200 day SMA of $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ . This long term average is an indicator for assessing the overall health & direction of a major trend,  filtering out short term price volatility to provide a smooth, clear signal to long term investors. Throughout 2025, Nvidia's share price experiences significant day to day and weekly fluctuations.  However a long term investor using the 200 day SMA would have a clear simple strategy: When the stock price remains consistently above the 200 day SMA , it is considered to be in a strong bullish upward trend. The SMA acts as a major long term support level. The 200 day SMA ignores minor dips & temporary pullbacks, preventing investors

I found this episode on Moving Averages very helpful — the explanations of SMA, EMA, and how MA reflects the market’s “average holding cost” made the concepts much easier to apply. The points on slope and inflection also gave me a clearer way to judge trend strength beyond basic crossovers. In practice, I use the 200-day SMA for long-term trend direction, while EMAs like the 20 and 50 help me react faster in shorter timeframes. They give earlier signals, but I stay cautious during sideways markets to avoid whipsaws. The AMD divergence example was a good reminder that price alone can mislead, and confirming MA signals with RSI or volume is essential. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s charts and sharing more insights in the event! @Tige

I found this episode really practical — breaking MA behaviour into six patterns makes chart reading much clearer. I mainly watch breakouts and alignment; an upward breakout followed by bullish alignment usually confirms the trend, while deep entanglement is still my cue to stay cautious. It’s interesting how these simple patterns often reflect real market sentiment. Recently, I’ve seen a few early golden cross setups after consolidation, and also some short-bull/long-bear divergences — useful to monitor but still too risky to chase since the long-term trend is weak. These mixed signals remind me to stay patient instead of forcing trades. I like combining MAs with volume and RSI to filter noise. When a golden cross appears with rising volume or a pullback matches an RSI rebound, the setup

🎁TA Education 4|How to Apply MA in Live-trading?

Hello everyone, welcome to the fourth episode of our Technical Analysis series. Today, we’ll be learning MA.1. What is MA (Moving Averages)A Moving Average is a calculation used to analyze data points by creating a constantly updated average price over a specific period (e.g., 10 days, 50 hours, 200 weeks).Core Purpose: To smooth out short-term price fluctuations and "noise" to reveal the underlying trend direction.Primary Function: It acts as a lagging indicator. It doesn't predict future prices; it confirms and defines the existing trend based on past data.2. Types of MAsThere are several calculation methods, each emphasizing different aspects:Simple Moving Average (SMA): Calculates the average closing price over a selected period, giving equal weight to all data points. It is the smooth

🌟🌟🌟A selling climax, also known as capitulation, is the culmination of a prolonged period of selling in a stock. It is a sharp rapid decline in price followed  by a high trading volume. This indicates mass panic selling where investors liquidate their positions regardless of price to avoid further losses. This event often marks the final stage of a downtrend & signal that a market bottom is near as most of the investors with lower risk tolerance have exited the market , leaving potential buyers to step in. Eg: April 25, $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ experienced a significant drop that displayed the characteristics of a selling climax.  Nvidia dropped 7.3% on April 4, marking the 2nd straight day of major drops.  This sharp drop was followed

🌟🌟🌟Bearish divergence is a technical analysis pattern that signals a potential reversal of an uptrend. It occurs when a stock's price makes a higher high but a momentum indicator such as Relative Strength Index or RSI makes a lower high.  This mismatch indicates that buying pressure is weakening despite rising prices, suggesting a potential downtrend trend is coming. Eg: $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ in November. While its stock price pushed to new all time highs, the underlying momentum, as measured by indicators, told a different story.  This pattern serves as warning sign of significant price correction that followed. AMD hits a 52 week high end October.  However the price's higher high was contradicted by the RSI's lower high, f
