That target is still nearly 50% above where shares closed Friday.</p>\n<p>The ride-hailing company is one of several Chinese firms that are facing regulatory issues there. Chinese officials have limited Didi’s customer acquisition ability, including blocking app downloads. The stock has dropped more than 50% since July 1.</p>\n<p>For Didi in particular, this lost time in gaining market share could be a big hit to its long-term outlook, Atlantic said.</p>\n<p>“A significant premium comes with having a monopoly in ridehailing and hence there would not be a linear relationship between market share lost and the impact on valuation,” the note said.</p>\n<p>Notably, the move from Atlantic is not an overall call on stocks that are under increased scrutiny in Beijing. That target is still nearly 50% above where shares closed Friday.</p>\n<p>The ride-hailing company is one of several Chinese firms that are facing regulatory issues there. Chinese officials have limited Didi’s customer acquisition ability, including blocking app downloads. The stock has dropped more than 50% since July 1.</p>\n<p>For Didi in particular, this lost time in gaining market share could be a big hit to its long-term outlook, Atlantic said.</p>\n<p>“A significant premium comes with having a monopoly in ridehailing and hence there would not be a linear relationship between market share lost and the impact on valuation,” the note said.</p>\n<p>Notably, the move from Atlantic is not an overall call on stocks that are under increased scrutiny in Beijing.
