The Cannacord analyst,Jonathan Dorsheimer, backed up his bold assertion by noting that Tesla is involved in more than just cars, just like Apple does more than just make iPhones.</p><p>The Apple-like spin is admittedly aggressive, and maybe even a bit aspirational, but such is the nature of Tesla. Investors either believe in the vision of Tesla’s chief executive, Elon Musk, or they don’t. So far, it has paid to be a believer, and the stock’s Monday rally suggests that Tesla’s investors are looking for new reasons to be evangelical.</p><p>The reason to believe could come as early as April 26, when Tesla is scheduled to reports first-quarter earnings after the market closes. Should the stock surge, investors can shout hallelujah. Should the stock stumble, look for a baptism by fire.</p><p>With Tesla’s stock around $725, aggressive investors could consider buying Tesla’s April $735call optionsthat expire April 30 for $37.50.</p><p>If the stock is at $800, the call is worth $65. Should the stock be below the strike price at expiration, the trade fails, though the call could be adjusted within the options market to keep it alive.</p><p>During the past 52 weeks, Tesla stock has ranged from $134.76 to $900.40. So far this year, the stock is up about 3%, compared with a gain of 10% for the S&amp;P 500.</p><p>The last time we mentioned Tesla was in early April, just before the company reported first-quarter vehicle deliveries.</p><p>We then suggested that investors sell Tesla’s May $500 or May $550 put options to trade delivery data when the stock was around $661.75. So far, the trade has worked well. The May $500 puts are trading at $3.50, down from $11, and the May $550 puts are trading at $6.85, down from $20.</p><p>Securing profits is largely a matter of discipline. Some investors will secure profits with gains of 70% on the puts, others will go for 90%. It has. \n</p>\n<p>\n  Now  the question for investors is how best to ride the long-term wave. \n</p>\n<p>\n  Shares of Tesla Inc. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TSLA\">$(TSLA)$</a> soared last year, but during 2021, volatility has been painful for shorter-term investors whose timing has been less than ideal. Here's a price chart from the end of 2019: \n</p>\n<p>\n  That is an eye-pleasing chart, especially if you have been in the stock the whole time. But Tesla's shares fell 27% through April 1 from its intraday high Jan. 25. Then on April 5, the shares rose 4% following the company's report that it had delivered 184,800 electric vehicles during the first quarter . \n</p>\n<p>\n  Tesla is an expensive stock. The shares trade for 147.5 times the consensus earnings estimate for the next 12 months, among analysts polled by FactSet. Among those 35 analysts, less than a third rate Tesla a \"buy\" or the equivalent, and their consensus 12-month price target of $658.26 is slightly below where the shares closed April 1. \n</p>\n<p>\n  Tesla's biggest competitors in the EV space in the U.S. seem likely to be General Motors Co. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/GM\">$(GM)$</a>, Volkswagen AG  and Ford Motor Co. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/F\">$(F)$</a>, based on the companies' announced plans. \n</p>\n<p>\n  But there are many other ways to play this long-term secular trend. Semiconductor manufacturers will continue to benefit from the growth of EVs and makers of all sorts of components. Here's a recent screen of semiconductor stocks . \n</p>\n<p>\n  To come up with a broader list of EV and related stock plays that might have significant upside, we began by putting together a list of stocks held by <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> or more of these ETFs: \n</p>\n<p>\n  We looked at the holdings of three ETFs: \n</p>\n<p>\n  Adding the three portfolios and removing duplicates produced a list of 175 stocks, with 76 listed in the U.S. \n</p>\n<p>\n  Among those 175 stocks, 111 are covered by at least 10 analysts. It is good to have a large number of opinions factored-in -- if a company isn't widely covered by the brokerage industry, it might be overlooked by institutional investors (or paid by the few analysts who do cover it). \n</p>\n<p>\n  Among the pared list of 111 stocks, here are the 20 with more than two-thirds \"buy\" or equivalent ratings, with the most implied upside potential for the next 12 months: \n</p>\n<p>\n  Share prices and price targets in the table are in local currencies where the stocks or American depositary receipts are listed. \n</p>\n<p>\n  As always,  this type of list is only a start -- you should do your own research before investing in anything. The company provides hydrogen fuel-cell services. \n</p>\n<p>\n  Second on the list is Baidu Inc. (K3SD.SG), with analysts expecting a 59% gain. Over 300 earned $100,000 or more.</p><p>Roblox is telling prospective shareholders to get comfortable with its hefty payouts. In its&nbsp;investor presentationlast week, the company said it plans to shell out even more to creators to incentive higher-quality content and fund bigger teams of engineers, designers, artists and producers.</p><p><b>What is Roblox?</b></p><p>Roblox is a free online platform that features tens of millions of multiplayer games made by its own players with tools the company provides. The games range from obstacle-course challenges and iterations of capture the flag to contests based on popular characters such as Peppa Pig and Sonic the Hedgehog. Company officials have said they are interested in increasing the use of Roblox for things such as virtual concerts and meetings.</p><p><b>Who plays Roblox and how?</b></p><p>Roblox is accessible on computers, consoles and mobile devices. Players in Roblox appear in the form of customizable avatars.</p><p><b>Roblox’s Covid boom</b></p><p>Roblox has been a huge beneficiary of the Covid-19 shutdowns, which forced kids out of the classroom and away from their friends. With no school to attend and birthday parties canceled,kids turned to Roblox, where they can socialize virtually, navigating theme parks, attending concerts and playing action games while also staying in touch using its popular text chat feature.</p><p>Daily active users jumped 85% in 2020 to 32.6 million. The number of hours that players spent on the app more than doubled to 30.6 billion.</p><p>That unexpected and unprecedented growth has created some challenges around its developer community. The company has had to contend with an influx ofspammers&nbsp;and&nbsp;scammers&nbsp;who are out to take advantage of some of the millions of kids who are ready and willing to spend their parents money on Robux.</p><p>In-game pop-ups lure users with the promise of free Robux if they fill out a survey, only to reroute them to other sites where there’s no Robux and even more spam. In some cases, Roblox developers unknowingly install a malicious plug-in from the game development studio, infecting their own game.</p><p>“Because of the popularity of our platform, we believe that we are an attractive target for these sorts of attacks,” Roblox said in its prospectus. The company said it’s investing to make sure outside parties can’t access user data and to prevent phishing, spamming and malware as much as possible.</p><p>Roblox’s second-biggest expense, behind developer fees, is infrastructure, privacy and safety.
