2021","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1104072180","media":"TheStreet","summary":"DraftKings is a stock that ARK has added to more than one of its ETFs.\nOver the past couple of weeks","content":"
DraftKings is a stock that ARK has added to more than one of its ETFs.
\n
Over the past couple of weeks, I took a look at both the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) and the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW). With so much attention being given to what trades the ARK funds are making lately, I wanted to see specifically which stocks are being added to the portfolios. Cathie Wood and company have had the Midas touch over the past couple of years and news that ARK is taking a position has become enough to move the stock price.
\n
Today, I want to take a look at another of the company's top performers - the ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF).
\n
ARKF is a particularly interest fund to watch right now because of what's going on in the cryptocurrency space. Bitcoin price have been surging. Dogecoin has entered the fray thanks to a few mentions from Elon Musk. Two bitcoin ETFs were just launched in Canada (although we still don't have one in the United States).
\n
But the fund's appeal goes beyond just crypto. With the acceleration of cashless transactions during the pandemic and the growth of blockchain applications, fintech innovation is becoming bigger and it's getting there faster.
\n
Square (SQ) and PayPal (PYPL) are the fund's two biggest holdings, while other popular names, including Tencent (TCEHY), Pinterest (PINS) and Zillow (Z) are also present. Silvergate Capital (SI), a new addition to the ARKW portfolio in 2021, is also in the top 10 in ARKF.
\n
Again, I used the database at arktrack.com to take a look at the portfolio's changes. According to their data, ARKF has taken three brand new positions in 2021, while it's completely sold out of positions in JD Health International and SBI Holdings.
\n
One of the new names is a position that ARK has been building up across multiple funds, while the other two add an interesting bit of variety.
\n
Here are the 3 new stocks that have been added to ARKF so far this year.
\n
Ping An Healthcare & Technology
\n
Ping is a Chinese healthcare company that specializes in four different segments - health mall, consumer healthcare, health management & wellness and online medical services. I would presume that's the last business segment that attracted ARK's attention.
\n
Similar to Teledoc Health, Ping also operates an online platform, which allows for online doctor consultations, health management and prescription services. The rest of what the company does may not have a heavy influence from fintech, but the online services piece most definitely does.
\n
ARKF just added shares of Ping earlier in February and the stock now accounts for about 1% of the portfolio overall.
\n
Ping's price trajectory is a good example of what the \"ARK effect\" can do to a stock. Ping was a relatively smaller company to begin with, which gave it the potential of making a bigger move in a shorter period of time. Once news broke that ARK was taking a position (which took place on February 10th and 11th), Ping's stock price climbed 35% over the course of two trading days.
\n
Bill.com (BILL)
\n
Bill.com falls right into ARKF's wheelhouse. It's a provider of cloud-based software solutions that help enable, enhance and automate company financial operations. Some of its product involvements include Oracle NetSuite and QuickBooks.
\n
While ARK only jumped on board this year, Bill.com has been rolling lately. Since the March 2020 low, the stock is up more than 500% compared to a 240% gain for ARKF over the same period. Similar to what Ping has done for the healthcare space, Bill.com has seen huge demand and adoption for its online financial solutions suite.
\n
Bill.com also has inroads with major banks, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, PNC and Wells Fargo for its payment processing solutions. This is a company that's well-positioned and well-connected for the current environment and should continue expanding its presence.
\n
DraftKings (DKNG)
\n
I profiled DraftKings already as it was one of the stocks also added to ARKW during 2021. The online gambling and gaming industry was perhaps one of the biggest beneficiaries of the changes to the COVID-influenced economy. With businesses shuttering all around the world, consumer turned to online gaming platforms to get their entertainment fix. With many sports on hiatus, casino gambling, including poker, was the activity of choice. With so much attention being given to what trades the ARK funds are making lately, I wanted to see specifically which stocks are being added to the portfolios. Cathie Wood and company have had the Midas touch over the past couple of years and news that ARK is taking a position has become enough to move the stock price.\nToday, I want to take a look at another of the company's top performers - the ARK Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF).\nARKF is a particularly interest fund to watch right now because of what's going on in the cryptocurrency space. Bitcoin price have been surging. Dogecoin has entered the fray thanks to a few mentions from Elon Musk. Two bitcoin ETFs were just launched in Canada (although we still don't have one in the United States).\nBut the fund's appeal goes beyond just crypto. With the acceleration of cashless transactions during the pandemic and the growth of blockchain applications, fintech innovation is becoming bigger and it's getting there faster.\nSquare (SQ) and PayPal (PYPL) are the fund's two biggest holdings, while other popular names, including Tencent (TCEHY), Pinterest (PINS) and Zillow (Z) are also present. Silvergate Capital (SI), a new addition to the ARKW portfolio in 2021, is also in the top 10 in ARKF.\nAgain, I used the database at arktrack.com to take a look at the portfolio's changes. According to their data, ARKF has taken three brand new positions in 2021, while it's completely sold out of positions in JD Health International and SBI Holdings.\nOne of the new names is a position that ARK has been building up across multiple funds, while the other two add an interesting bit of variety.\nHere are the 3 new stocks that have been added to ARKF so far this year.\nPing An Healthcare & Technology\nPing is a Chinese healthcare company that specializes in four different segments - health mall, consumer healthcare, health management & wellness and online medical services. I would presume that's the last business segment that attracted ARK's attention.\nSimilar to Teledoc Health, Ping also operates an online platform, which allows for online doctor consultations, health management and prescription services. The rest of what the company does may not have a heavy influence from fintech, but the online services piece most definitely does.\nARKF just added shares of Ping earlier in February and the stock now accounts for about 1% of the portfolio overall.\nPing's price trajectory is a good example of what the \"ARK effect\" can do to a stock. Ping was a relatively smaller company to begin with, which gave it the potential of making a bigger move in a shorter period of time. Once news broke that ARK was taking a position (which took place on February 10th and 11th), Ping's stock price climbed 35% over the course of two trading days.\nBill.com (BILL)\nBill.com falls right into ARKF's wheelhouse. It's a provider of cloud-based software solutions that help enable, enhance and automate company financial operations. Some of its product involvements include Oracle NetSuite and QuickBooks.\nWhile ARK only jumped on board this year, Bill.com has been rolling lately. Since the March 2020 low, the stock is up more than 500% compared to a 240% gain for ARKF over the same period. Similar to what Ping has done for the healthcare space, Bill.com has seen huge demand and adoption for its online financial solutions suite.\nBill.com also has inroads with major banks, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, PNC and Wells Fargo for its payment processing solutions. This is a company that's well-positioned and well-connected for the current environment and should continue expanding its presence.\nDraftKings (DKNG)\nI profiled DraftKings already as it was one of the stocks also added to ARKW during 2021. With sports leagues back in the swing of things again, event betting and daily fantasy are adding to revenue streams.\nAs I noted last week, \"Sports gambling has been a rapidly growing industry as more states consider legalization. The online gaming industry has also been one of the fastest growing sectors and is expected to remain so over the next several years.\"\nDraftKings, while struggling to generate profits in the short-term, is emerging as one of the likely winners in this high growth space and makes an ideal addition to the ARKF portfolio. The stock is only a modest holding within the fund at just 0.5% of total assets.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ARKW":0.9,"BILL":0.9,"ARKK":0.9,"PYPL":0.9,"SQ":0.9,"01833":0.9,"ARKF":0.9,"DKNG":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2287,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":360420995,"gmtCreate":1613967356217,"gmtModify":1704886259950,"author":{"id":"3570951517020550","authorId":"3570951517020550","name":"Klarenz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3822ba0db5fc6fcb4ffce5962619dd2b","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570951517020550","idStr":"3570951517020550"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good read ","listText":"Good read ","text":"Good read","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/360420995","repostId":"1116222553","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1116222553","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1613965197,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1116222553?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-02-22 11:39","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Inflation is rising and so are investors’ fears about stocks","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1116222553","media":"MarketWatch","summary":"Stocks actually are an inflation hedge but the market doesn’t see it that way\nIf inflation is a thre","content":"
Stocks actually are an inflation hedge but the market doesn’t see it that way
\n
If inflation is a threat to the stock market, we should be running scared. That’s because inflation expectations have spiked dramatically in recent weeks. The 10-year breakeven inflation rate — what the bond market currently is betting inflation will average over the next decade — is now higher than it’s been in five years.
\n
As you can see from the accompanying chart, expected 10-year inflation stood at just 0.50% last March; this past week it got as high as 2.24%.
\n

\n
In truth, inflation is not the threat to the stock market that most investors believe. If inflation continues to heat up in coming months and investors react by dumping stocks, you might want to consider it as a buying opportunity.
\n
These are the conclusions I reached after interviewing Richard Warr, a finance professor at North Carolina State University. Warr co-authored a seminal 2002 study in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis which found that equities actually are a good long-term hedge against inflation. His co-author was University of Florida finance professor Jay Ritter.
\n
Warr explained that stocks are a hedge because inflation impacts equity valuations in two ways which largely offset each other:
\n
\n
Higher inflation means that future nominal earnings must be discounted at a higher rate when calculating their present value.
\n
Corporations are able to charge more when inflation is higher. Because of this greater pricing power, their nominal earnings in future years will be higher than they would have been otherwise.
\n
\n
Notice the small net effect of these two factors: Nominal earnings will be higher but must be more heavily discounted. This isn’t just theory, by the way: Over the last 150 years, real (inflation-adjusted) growth rates for the S&P 500’sSPX,-0.19%earnings per share have remained relatively stable in the wake of changes in the inflation rate, while nominal EPS growth rates have tended to rise and fall in line with those changes.
\n
Investors typically focus on just the first of these two consequences of inflation, Warr said. That is, they (at least implicitly) realize that inflation reduces the value of future nominal earnings, but overlook that those nominal earnings will themselves be higher. This lopsided view is due to a trait that economists call “inflation illusion.”
\n
This illusion works to be the benefit of stocks when inflation is declining. When that is the case, investors extrapolate into the future the artificially high nominal earnings growth of earlier higher-inflation periods. The result is unreasonably high valuations.
\n
When inflation begins to rise, in contrast, investors make just the opposite mistake: They extrapolate into the future the lower earnings growth firms produced during the previously low-inflation period. This leads them to conclude that equity valuations must come down as inflation heats up.
\n
Rational versus behavioral models of investor behavior
\n
Notice that two distinct models of investor behavior are needed to explain the market’s reaction to higher inflation.

The rational model shows that inflation should have little net impact on equity valuations, while the behavioral model predicts that investors will nevertheless behave irrationally.
\n
Might investors have learned from their past irrationality, and therefore not dump stocks if inflation heats up even more in coming months? valuations.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2152,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":360269409,"gmtCreate":1613929230101,"gmtModify":1704885977038,"author":{"id":"3570951517020550","authorId":"3570951517020550","name":"Klarenz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3822ba0db5fc6fcb4ffce5962619dd2b","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570951517020550","authorIdStr":"3570951517020550"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Niceee","listText":"Niceee","text":"Niceee","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/360269409","repostId":"1143100356","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1877,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":385160100,"gmtCreate":1613523458000,"gmtModify":1704881553943,"author":{"id":"3570951517020550","authorId":"3570951517020550","name":"Klarenz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3822ba0db5fc6fcb4ffce5962619dd2b","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570951517020550","authorIdStr":"3570951517020550"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/385160100","repostId":"1168066718","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2165,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":386805247,"gmtCreate":1613146708489,"gmtModify":1704878984970,"author":{"id":"3570951517020550","authorId":"3570951517020550","name":"Klarenz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3822ba0db5fc6fcb4ffce5962619dd2b","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570951517020550","authorIdStr":"3570951517020550"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good 2021","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1104072180","media":"TheStreet","summary":"DraftKings is a stock that ARK has added to more than one of its ETFs.\nOver the past couple of weeks","content":"
With sports leagues back in the swing of things again, event betting and daily fantasy are adding to revenue streams.
\n
As I noted last week, \"Sports gambling has been a rapidly growing industry as more states consider legalization. The online gaming industry has also been one of the fastest growing sectors and is expected to remain so over the next several years.\"
\n
DraftKings, while struggling to generate profits in the short-term, is emerging as one of the likely winners in this high growth space and makes an ideal addition to the ARKF portfolio. The stock is only a modest holding within the fund at just 0.5% of total assets.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Stocks That ARKF Added To Its Portfolio In 2021
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Stocks That ARKF Added To Its Portfolio In 2021\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-02-23 11:27 GMT+8 TheStreet\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
DraftKings is a stock that ARK has added to more than one of its ETFs.\nOver the past couple of weeks, I took a look at both the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) and the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"ARKW":"ARK Next Generation Internet ETF","ARKF":"ARK Fintech Innovation ETF","BILL":"BILL HOLDINGS INC","PYPL":"PayPal","DKNG":"DraftKings Inc.","ARKK":"ARK Innovation ETF","01833":"平安好医生"},"source_url":"https://www.thestreet.com/etffocus/market-intelligence/3-stocks-arkf-added-portfolio-2021","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1104072180","content_text":"DraftKings is a stock that ARK has added to more than one of its ETFs.\nOver the past couple of weeks, I took a look at both the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) and the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW). ValuAnalysis uses price as a multiple of normalized net free cash flow as its benchmark, and identifies the imaginary dividing line between value and growth stocks at 35x, which is the market median.
\n
The value vs. growth divide would suggest that a company trading at a 17x earnings multiple is undervalued. In reality, ValuAnalysis says it is likely a company that won't grow.
\n
In reality, a stock's value is based on the company's ability to grow free cash flow in an environment where the cost of capital is 5% to 6%. So if a company isn't outpacing that by improving revenue and margins, the multiple won't increase and the stock price is unlikely to rise.
\n
Stocks that are actually undervalued will trade between 25x and 35x free cash flow, Costantini says, outpacing the cost of capital but not breaking past the market median.
\n
To have potential, a company's accumulation of assets or revenue growth must outpace increases in global gross domestic product, and ideally show signs of accelerating.
