Naixue plans to hold a hearing on May 13. According to the listing process of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Naixue may complete its listing in mid-to-early June.

Regarding the specific amount of funds raised by this IPO, it is expected that Naixue will be determined in the last week of May. In addition, Tencent News \"Periscope\" learned that Naixue plans to raise approximately US $600 million this time. Based on its issuance of 15% shares, Naixue is expected to be valued at approximately US $4 billion, equivalent to approximately HK $31 billion.

As of press time, Tencent News \"Periscope\" has not been able to contact Naixue and its sponsor JPMorgan Chase for comment.

Investors worry that Naixue's valuation is too high

Naixue has conducted a total of 5 financings in the past 5 years. In addition to Tiantu Capital's earliest three consecutive rounds of investment, Naixue received another US $100 million in financing from PAG Taimeng Investment Group and others in 2020.

Bloomberg reported that Naixue's valuation reached $2 billion after receiving financing from PAG Pacific Alliance Investment. This is also Naixue's last round of fundraising before the IPO.

In other words, compared with the last round of financing before the IPO, Naixue's current valuation has approximately doubled.

Some large institutional investors told Tencent News \"Periscope\" that Naixue is a good company, but they are worried that the final valuation is too expensive. According to previous market rumors, Naixue is valued at HK $35 billion.

Compared with the market sentiment when Naixue launched its listing in February this year, institutional investors are currently more cautious about Naixue's valuation. Some institutional investors value it at about 30 billion Hong Kong dollars, but some institutional investors who are keen on Naixue still follow the previous valuation, and even give a valuation of 40 billion Hong Kong dollars.

Some large institutional investors told Tencent News \"First Line\" that if the valuation is reasonable, they will consider placing orders. The order prices placed by these large institutional investors will directly affect Naixue's final pricing range.

In the past week, many institutional investors have been nervously waiting for the decision of Naixue's listing team and management, that is, to finalize the cornerstone list. Tencent News \"Periscope\" learned that there are many institutions that hope to be cornerstone investors in Naixue, and the final cornerstone list will be finalized after the hearing next week.

Naixue has lost more than 100 million in three years, investors are worried about its ability to make money

In previous non-trading roadshows, investors' concerns about Naixue were more concentrated: the ability to make money in the future. The answer given by the management is also easy to understand, that is, as the scale increases, the cost will be diluted and the profit will also increase.

Naixue is still in a state of loss. The financial report shows that Naixue's revenue in 2018, 2019 and the first three quarters of 2020 was 1.087 billion yuan, 2.502 billion yuan, and 2.115 billion yuan respectively, while its net losses were 69.73 million, 39.68 million, and 27.51 million yuan respectively.

Like other fast-moving consumer goods industries, investors are more concerned about the same-store sales and same-store profits in Naixue's prospectus.

Naixue's prospectus shows that in 2018 and 2019, there were 49 stores with business hours of no less than 300 days. Based on the data of 2018 and 2019 alone, Naixue's same-store net profits were 1.453 million yuan and 1.414 million yuan respectively.

An institutional investor who has invested in the consumer field for a long time told Tencent News \"Periscope\" that generally speaking, the reasonable range of same-store profit margins is about 20%.

Judging from the data of the first two full fiscal years, Naixue's single-store profit is not bad. According to the prospectus, Naixue's same-store profit margins were 24.9%, 25.3% and 12.6% in 2018, 2019 and the first three quarters of 2020, respectively. Among them, the same-store profit margin in 2020 will be greatly affected by the epidemic.

However, manpower accounts for a large proportion of Nayuki's cost expenditure. Naixue's prospectus shows that its labor costs remain high. In 2018, the staff cost was 340 million yuan, accounting for 31.3% of the total cost. In 2019, the staff cost was 750 million yuan, accounting for 30% of the total cost. This expenditure is similar to Naixue's material cost, which was 380 million yuan and 910 million yuan in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

In other words, as domestic labor costs gradually rise in the future, the labor expenses that Naixue needs to bear will become higher and higher. More importantly, Naixue's stores are all concentrated in first-and second-tier and quasi-second-tier cities, and labor costs in these cities will continue to be high in the foreseeable future.

Although the total cost of Naixue will be slightly diluted as the scale expands in the future, after the stores in first-and second-tier cities are saturated, as Naixue continues to sink into other cities, the benefits of a single store may decrease. This means that it will be difficult for Naixue to continue to maintain a single store profit margin of more than 20%.

An institutional investor who mainly invests in the consumer field in the secondary market told Tencent News \"Periscope\" that after studying Naixue's data, his institution finally decided not to invest.

There are not a few such investors, and some people are looking forward to the competing product Heytea, which will also be listed in Hong Kong in the future. Some investors who have seen Heytea's financial data revealed to Tencent News \"Periscope\" that compared with Naixue, Heytea's profitability is much better than Naixue's, its cost control is better, and it is more suitable for long-term holdings. investors.
","source":"TXXW","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Naixue plans to hold a hearing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on May 13 and is expected to be listed in mid-to-early June
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNaixue plans to hold a hearing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on May 13 and is expected to be listed in mid-to-early June\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
On May 8, Tencent News \"Periscope\" exclusively learned that Naixue plans to hold a hearing on May 13. Some investors who have seen Heytea's financial data revealed to Tencent News \"Periscope\" that compared with Naixue, Heytea's profitability is much better than Naixue's, its cost control is better, and it is more suitable for long-term holdings. investors.
\n
\n\n\n
,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1829,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107740258,"gmtCreate":1620543346474,"gmtModify":1704344834372,"author":{"id":"3577099045897802","authorId":"3577099045897802","name":"知了2010","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/94af26710b772ae5fc6be0ee324fa309","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577099045897802","authorIdStr":"3577099045897802"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"!","listText":"!","text":"!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/107740258","repostId":"1149370314","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1149370314","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1620524058,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1149370314?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-09 09:34","market":"us","language":"zh","title":"No one is smarter than Bill Gates, but Jobs is often missed","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1149370314","media":"左林右狸","summary":"引言:聪明的人总能赢得当下,有想象力的人引领未来。
Introduction: Smart people always win the present, and imaginative people lead the future. Gates is enviable, and Jobs is often missed. Today, through Bill Gates' divorce case August 18th, we know the rumors about Bill Gates and its influence in the history of science and technology.

1. Smart Man Bill Gates

If there is one word to describe Bill Gates, it is smart man.

Because of Ma's father, the lakeside is widely known. In the United States, there is also a lakeside, Lakeside Middle School, a private high school beside Lake Washington in Seattle, where Gates studied. Gates is shy by nature and not good at talking to people, but he has superhuman talent on computers: the seating software of Lakeside Middle School was written by Gates. For this reason, Gates is surrounded by his favorite girls every time he attends class, and many times he is the only one in the class who enjoys this treatment; Gates' talent was also discovered by a commercial company, and he was asked to help pick bugs. How good Gates was? He quickly caused the commercial company to lose the DEC order because he found hundreds of bugs in a short time, and the printed list was 300 pages thick; Gates was also a member of the young hackers. At that time, CDC built a national computer network Cybernet. CDC claimed that this network was extremely safe. Gates used a terminal of Waldenton University to complete the intrusion into the system at that time. After that, he was caught by CDC, for which he had to be asked to leave the computer for a year.

To put it another way, Gates can hang out freely in the University of Washington, more because he knows another young computer hacker who is two years older than him. The child of the University of Washington Library is also Paul Allen, his lakeside brother. Later, these two people founded Microsoft together.

Although he showed superhuman talent in computer science, because of his lawyer father, Bill Gates University did not choose to study computer science, but chose to go to Harvard University to study law. With a full score of 1600, Bill Gates scored 1590. Allen's SAT score is perfect, but Allen chose to enter the University of Washington in his hometown. Allen is also a smart man.

Gates' ex-wife Melinda is also a smart person. Her father is a contracted engineer with NASA, and the academic atmosphere in the family is strong. When Melinda was in the third year of senior high school, the math teacher installed several Apple II's in the school, went to the university to study programming at night, and taught students programming at school during the day. Melinda wrote some basic applets that were the source of her interest in computers.

A few years later, Melinda got a double bachelor's degree in computer science and economics from Duke University, then entered Microsoft, and studied for an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. She was the only woman in this MBA. Melinda is very smart. When she first dated Bill Gates, they played math games together, but Gates always couldn't beat her. The first time she played the \"clue\" game (American version of script killing), Melinda also won a big victory. This may be the beginning of Gates falling in love.

Bill Gates is always attracted to smart people, and his ex-girlfriend Wimbride is also a smart person.

Wimbride was born on Nov. 1, 1950, five years older than Gates, relied on his own job as a cocktail bar waiter to complete school, earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics and business administration from St. Catherine's University, and a master's degree in education from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Wimbride's first job was a programmer for the Federal Reserve. Thirteen months later, she and three colleagues left the Federal Reserve to form an accounting software company called Open Systems, Inc., which started with an initial investment of $5 million and sold six years later for $15 million.

She is also a pioneer in early-stage venture capital in the United States. Zhang Universe, an old friend of Zuolin Youli Channel and an industry veteran, wrote such a story in WeChat official account \"Accounting Afterwards\". In a venture capital event in the 1980s, Winbride was one of the few women present. In the double room allocated to her by the organizer, the other person was a female performing \"artist\" on the field, who was actually a stripper. It can be seen that the number of early female venture capitalists was scarce.

Winbride and Bill Gates met in 1984 at a computer conference with Ben Rosen-Esther Dyson, after which they dated and lived together for three years. After the breakup, Wimbride's career went up one flight of stairs. She and former NBA star John Hammer jointly established Hammer-Wimbride Investment Company.

Rumor has it that the breakup between Gates and Wimbride was blocked by Gates' mother, because Wimbride was too old to get married. But Wimbride has publicly stated that Mary Gates gave her good advice when she was a young venture capitalist, and that every time she met Mary, Wimbride would get a handwritten thank-you note.

As for whether Winbride withdrew from Gates' emotional world, it is still an unsolved mystery. There is Wimbride in Melinda's marriage with Gates. Before marriage, there is a private agreement between them. Gates asks to spend a week's holiday with Wimbride every year, and Melinda is not allowed to interfere. Gates and Wimbride do spend their holidays in the seaside cottage on the Bund Island of North Carolina every year. Gates said that although he spends some time with Winbride every year, the two just talk about some computer problems together. The clever Bill Gates enjoys all the blessings of everyone in his way.

Rumor has it that once, Wimbride had a conflict with Melinda because of his intervention in the Gates Foundation. What Melinda never expected was that her husband actually stood firmly on Wimbride's side. At that time, Melinda finally couldn't bear it, lost control of her emotions, and shouted at Bill Gates: Am I not tolerant enough?

What Zuo Lin You Li Channel wants to know is whether Gates and Melinda's three children knew about Winbrad before or not. After today, they will definitely know about it. What about before? However, their youngest daughter is 18 years old, and she has reached the age to face the beauty and ugliness of the world.

Gates's ability to become the richest man in the world is closely related to the mother of his daughter, a former governor of the National Bank. Many reports said that Gates' mother was a director of IBM, and persuaded IBM to give Microsoft the first order for the operating system, so Microsoft started. Actually, this sentence is half right. Gates'mother, Mary Gates, was not a director of IBM, but a director of the University of Washington. The University of Washington is one of the top 20 universities in the United States, not because it gets its name in Washington DC, but because it is located in Seattle, Washington.

Seattle is located on the west coast of the United States, facing the Puget Sound and surrounding Lake Washington. Looking to the west of Seattle, the snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountain are vividly in your mind. In the distance to the east, there are also continuous snow-capped mountains. The Rainier snow-capped mountains in the southeast do not melt all year round. The air is fresh, flowers and trees are abundant, and the scenery is pleasant all year round. Many upstarts of Chinese high-tech enterprises buy land here. For example, Xing Shanhu and Zhang Yunfan, and who and who.

If you have to find fault in the egg, it is that compared with the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, there are a little more rainy days in Seattle, which is why the buildings in Microsoft Redmond Park are scattered but there are any internal laws. To the greatest extent, it is ensured that every programmer's office has a large floor-to-ceiling window to maximize lighting, so as to better enjoy every sunny day.

Half of the foregoing sentence is that the most important order for Microsoft did come from IBM, thanks to Mary Gates' interpersonal relationships. Mary was also the first female president of the board of directors of the National United Road Charitable Foundation (Gates had a family background in charity), and John Opel, then chairman of IBM, was also in this association. During his tenure, John launched the first PC IBM5150, and was looking for a company to help them write the operating system. Mary strongly recommended her son's company to John. Interestingly, when she learned that IBM needed an operating system instead of general software that Bill Gates and Allen could do, Bill Gates promised to do it himself, which stunned Allen on the side.

IBM only gave him half a year. Gates found a difficult problem for him and Allen, and he himself was forced to suffer extremely.

The good news is that Allen found out that a programmer named Patterson of Seattle Computer Products Company spent four years writing the 86-DOS system. They rushed to visit Patterson, spent $50,000 to buy all the copyrights of this product from Seattle Computer, and refused to disclose the purpose of the product.

After getting the system, Gates told his mother that he might not be able to see him in the next six months, and then he led the team to start working overtime crazy, transforming the 86-DOS system into an MS-DOS system adapted to IBM computers within half a year. In March of the following year, the DOS system passed the acceptance inspection, and Microsoft became the sole manufacturer of IBM's operating system.

Moreover, Bill Gates was narrow-minded and signed a licence agreement with IBM, which was not exclusive. In the end, the operating system launched by Microsoft became the desktop operating system of IBM computers and almost all PCs. Bill Gates is smart enough.

2. Disruptor Jobs

Bill Gates was born in 1955. According to the book Alien, Americans born in 1955 have a greater probability of success than other years. People born in this year just caught up with the wave of the computer revolution at the age of 20 and enjoyed the first dawn of dawn. Also born in this year are Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, Andy Bertolsheim and Vinod Khosla, two founders of Sun, and Jobs.

Microsoft and Apple, Bill Gates and Jobs, for a long time, these two companies, these two people, have been the peerless pride of the information industry in the United States and even the world.

If Bill Gates is a super-smart man who grew up with a golden key in his mouth, then Jobs, who was raised by his adoptive parents, is a typical grassroots genius. Regarding the comparison of these two people, to paraphrase a metaphor in the football field, that is, Bill Gates is Cristiano Ronaldo and Jobs is Messi.

In the view of Zuolin Youli Channel, if Jobs hadn't pursued the perfection, there would be nothing for Microsoft.

As we all know, wozniak saw Altair, who can run Basic, in his home brewing club and decided to assemble his own personal computer. He and Jobs quickly co-founded Apple in Jobs' garage in April 1976. At the first West Coast Computer Fair in 1977, Apple launched the epoch-making Apple II in the history of personal computers, which was a great success. Four years later, Apple went public in 1980 and suddenly became a super upstart of that era.

It can be said that IBM's personal computer project was also partially stimulated by Apple II, which led to the story of Microsoft's counterattack.

At this time, Microsoft not only developed software for IBM, but also worked for Apple. In 1982, Apple's annual sales revenue was $1 billion, while Microsoft's only $32 million, which is a big difference. The turning point occurred in 1983.

Because Jobs, who pursued the perfection in January 1983, delayed the release of Apple's McKinsh computer for a whole year. In November 1983, Microsoft was able to quickly switch to the operating system that provided IBM with graphical interface after the cooperation period with Apple ended, thus making the balance between Apple and IBM fall to IBM.

IBM, Apple, snipe and clam compete, Microsoft benefits, but it is not as smart as Bill Gates.

Even if there is such a divine operation as paying tribute to 1984, Jobs can't save Apple Computer's defeat in the face of the powerful IBM offensive.

At the same time, Microsoft entered a rapid rising channel.

Correspondingly, Jobs was driven out of Apple in 1985, and Microsoft went public a year later in 1986.

When Jobs launched the first iPhone in 2006, Bill Gates announced his retirement. Together, two people led and finally ended the whole PC (Internet) era in their own way.

There are also many contacts between the two people. For example, Jobs has long insisted that Microsoft copied Apple's idea of graphical interface system, and Apple has been launching lawsuits against Microsoft since 1980s. NeXT, the company that Jobs started for the second time, failed because it didn't talk to Gates and couldn't get the software support developed by Microsoft. After returning to Apple, Jobs used Apple's right to waive litigation to obtain Microsoft's support for Apple's Macintosh computer, and asked Gates to buy $150 million of non-voting Apple shares to show his support.

It is a matter of opinion who has made more contributions to the information industry, Jobs or Gates, but when it comes to the pioneering influence of the industry, there is no doubt that Jobs has more. Wozniak designed the extraordinary circuit board and related operating software on the Apple II, and Jobs integrated it into a perfect personal computer. Apple II promoted the transformation of the whole industry, and since then, the computer has entered the family era.

He founded NeXT and acquired the graphics group (later renamed Pixar). Jobs originally wanted to make a big difference in computer 3D image technology, but he accidentally made a great change in using 3D computer graphics in film production, which injected new vitality into the animation industry. Jobs is not the leader of 3D animated feature films, and this disruptive innovation will give him half a point at most.

Jobs, who returned to Apple, has really reached a new crossroads where he can show his muscles. His remarkable imagination, unparalleled marketing methods, and extraordinary leadership combined to create an Apple whirlwind around the world. After selling 20 million Macintosh computers, Apple launched the iTunes music store and iPod digital music player, reversing the piracy trend in the music industry through excellent user experience. Until 2006, Jobs launched his most praised work, the iPhone, which introduced the multi-touch screen and virtual keyboard to the public, creating a powerful computing device, network client terminal, and an enhanced version of the iPod. The iPhone put Jobs on the altar. It's not an exaggeration to say that Jobs tore open the curtain of the mobile Internet era with one hand.

3. Super luxury homes of technology leaders

There is always one of the study tours in Silicon Valley, that is, visiting Jobs' former residence, especially the group during the National Day, can catch up with Jobs' death anniversary (October 4th). Jobs' former residence is located at 2066 Crist Drive in losalto, where Jobs started living at the age of 14, and Jobs' adoptive mother still lives there in this house. On October 28th, 2013, the house was recognized as a historical site by the municipal committee, and the chairman of the municipal committee of the city is said to be the wife of one of the founders of Google. The advantage of choosing her as the chairman is that once there is a gap in municipal construction or public welfare projects, someone will always come forward.

However, visiting Jobs at Paloalto's house on Halloween is the right solution. The tradition of Halloween in Silicon Valley was formed from Jobs. It is said that Jobs himself would hide behind the scarecrows, pumpkins, skeletons and cobwebs he visited at home, and suddenly jump out to scare the children who came to beg for candy.

Jobs' house is located in the paloalto Waverley street block, which is also one of the upscale communities in Silicon Valley. No. 100 on the same street is home to Larry Page, the founder of Google. The world is not big. This area is also active in a female intermediary who has a deep relationship with the Chinese Internet, the sister of Martin, a BAT-level executive.

Witnesses said that Jobs was often seen wearing a turtleneck black sweater and tending the garden barefoot.

Before moving to Paloalto in the mid-1990s, Jobs lived in a century-old Latin-style house on woodside for ten years until his wife Lauren Powell became pregnant. Jobs loves woodside very much. He has more than one house here. Public records show that Powell Jobs owns two properties in woodside valued at $7.5 million and $10 million respectively. As the name implies, Woodside is on the edge of the forest, and it is only separated from Silicon Valley by a dune street. Jobs' neighbor in Woodside is Eriksson, the boss of Oracle. There is a joke about 1986, the year when Jobs was lonely after being driven out of Apple. Eriksson was sleeping in his Woodside home one day, and a peacock that broke into the yard woke it up. Eriksson learned that the peacock was raised by his neighbor Jobs, so he ran over and complained. Jobs said, Ha, you don't like this bird either. The peacock was from my girlfriend and I have to find a way to get rid of it. The two laughed, became friends with each other, and often made an appointment to take a walk together. Both Jobs and Eriksson like Japanese Zen Buddhism very much. Eriksson's luxurious Japanese-style manor costs as much as $200 million, and it has always been the top technology mansion in Silicon Valley and even the world. Eriksson's house in Atherton is also a Japanese-style garden.

Wei Zhe and Ding Lei also have big houses by the forest, which is quite in line with their tonality. China's tech tycoons buying land in Silicon Valley is an interesting topic, and we will talk about it later.

There are reports that Jobs also had a residence in Cupertino, which is not true. Jobs went to the middle school in Cupertino, and it is because of this that they moved from moutainview to the south of losalto near Cupertino. Jobs' last work before his death Today's super Internet celebrity check-in landmark in Silicon Valley------Apple spaceship headquarters is within walking distance of Jobs' middle school.

Gates' Seattle mansion Xanadu 2.0 can also be called a masterpiece handed down from generation to generation. The mansion is located on the Madina Peninsula on the eastern shore of Lake Washington. This is a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides. Its neighbors are Bezos and Microsoft executives. Madina Peninsula has the smallest city in the United States, and the policewoman patrol with the highest beauty value. It is said that it is specially designed for these top rich people on the island. Why do you want policewomen to be valued? It is for fear of frightening children during patrol.

It seems that it is normal for executives of super large companies to live next to each other. In losalto hill in Silicon Valley, because Masayoshi Son and Jerry Yang have houses there, Jack Ma also bought there. Because of Jack Ma, a vote of Ali executives also bought it next to Ma's father in losalto hill, an Ali executive said it well, living next to the boss, visiting the door from time to time, getting poor information, and getting much more valuable resources than the house. What's more, the US dollars cashed out after Ali's listing will not come back, so buying a house for financial management is a good choice.

Portfino, the top luxury residential area in Shenzhen, has always been outstanding because another Ma father lives here, so there are enough Tencent executives gathered. It is also built near the lake, and it is also quiet in the middle of the noise, and it is also quiet and far-reaching. It is just that birds of a feather flock together and people live in groups.

Come back to Gates' mansion Xanadu 2.0, which covers an area of 66,000 square acres. When it was built, half of the whole hill was dug up. Gates spent 97 million dollars on it, and the reception hall alone covers 214 square meters. Pets are also different. There is an endangered animal whale shark in the house.

There is a dome-shaped private library in this mansion, and there is a skylight in the middle of the roof to receive natural light. It contains some handed down treasures and famous treasures purchased by Bill Gates, including the script manuscript of Hitchcock's movie Psycho and Napoleon's love letter to Josephine, as well as Leonardo da Vinci's Leicester Manuscript with prophetic scientific theory, which he bought from Christie's for $20.8 million in 1994. Bill Gates made this manuscript into a VCD and made a fortune at $50 each. No one is smarter than Gates.

Bill Gates' house can be visited, which costs $35,000 each time. Although it is expensive, many people still flock to it.

The most noteworthy feature of this mansion is that it has hosted many celebrities. When President Hu visited the United States in 2006, he visited the headquarters of Microsoft during the day and attended a dinner hosted by Gates' home that evening. That is, at this dinner party, there was a famous scene of Bill Gates and Hu Yiyi's question and answer on the topic of piracy, which later made China's domestic software industry sigh.

After this dinner, the obvious fact is that Microsoft won a $1.2 billion order from Lenovo. Since then, Lenovo computers have to be pre-installed with genuine Windows system. The hidden fact is that the Chinese government's software procurement plan has turned, and the newly emerging domestic office software replacement plan has been stranded, not to mention the depth of local operating systems. This dinner by Bill Gates has changed the trend of China's information industry for at least ten years.

The most injured person at this dinner was an old man named Ni Guangnan, and Mrlu, the stakeholder of this dinner, soared all the way. But ten years later, in 2015, another national leader visited Seattle, and the same scene did not happen. On the contrary, the mood and fate of the two old people ten years ago were reversed. Interested readers can discuss this story in our knowledge planet.

4. Chinese disciples of Gates and Jobs

The feud between Bill Gates and China is far more than that. Tsinghua and Peking University, the two highest universities in China, also fought a war of words for Bill Gates. The protagonist of the war of words is Microsoft's China Research Institute (later upgraded to Asia Research Institute) established in 1998. The debate is whether Peking University or Tsinghua has made this the most successful research institute in the history of Chinese science and technology.

Supporters of Peking University believe that Bill Gates visited China for the first time in 1994, and only visited Peking University during a three-day serial trip. However, Tsinghua's fans believe that on Christmas Eve in 1997, Bill Gates visited China again. This time, he visited Tsinghua, another famous university in China, and gave a speech in Tsinghua. According to the memory of Yang Shiqiang, former party secretary of Tsinghua University Computer Department, the student who asked Bill Gates at that time was named Li Ling, who entered Tsinghua Computer Department in 1994.

According to Tsinghua's happy statement, Bill Gates was also inspired by the enthusiasm of Tsinghua students. When he went back, he changed his previous plan to go to India, and set up Microsoft China Research Institute in Beijing next year. There is nothing wrong with this, but it may indeed be the seed sown by his trip to Peking University that year. Who knows? Anyway, for Bill Gates, Peking University students and Tsinghua students are all dishes on Microsoft's plate.

Because of the writing of \"A Brief History of Artificial Intelligence in China\", we came into contact with three digits of Microsoft Asian Research members, and these Microsoft Asian Research people are very grateful to Bill Gates.

Jobs has never been to China, but this does not affect his many disciples in China. Half of the bosses of domestic mobile phones in China compare themselves to Jobs, and Lei Jun of Xiaomi is even nicknamed Rebus. Zhou Hongyi, who has always been obsessed with mobile phones, has discussed with us the similarities and differences between himself and Jobs more than once; Huang Zhang of Meizu and Luo Yonghao of Hammer also didn't have Jobs' life, but they got Jobs' illness. In the intelligent hardware industry, there are also many super fans of Jobs, including Zhou Jian of UBTECH, Huang Wang of Huami and his former colleague Tuman Wang Wei. In fact, Wang Tao of DJI is also a believer of Jobs, but Wang Tao, a disciple of Jobs, is at least half. When Moritz, the global partner of Sequoia, saw DJI drone, he lamented that it was as shocking as he saw Michael Kinsh computer. As a result, Moritz personally came to China to see Wang Tao and said that he would vote for DJI. Sequoia is an investor in Apple. Moritz also has a lot of contacts with Jobs, and has also helped Jobs write books, so he is considered a person close to Jobs.

If the field is not limited to mobile phones and smart hardware, we know that Jobs' Chinese disciples include Yang Xiangji of Tap4fun and Nie Yunchen of Heytea.

Tap4fun is the developer of the mobile game \"Galaxy Empire\", which is famous for surpassing \"Angry Birds\" to rank first in the revenue list of the App Store in the United States in 2013. Founder Yang Xiangji said that his own business originated from Jobs' words when the iPhone was released: \"The iPhone is everything to everyone.\"

The company's product and marketing strategy are also in line with Apple's. For example, their dream of insisting on \"Insanely Great Games\" is in line with Jobs' famous saying of \"Keep putting great products\", and they only produce iOS games, focusing on overseas markets. There are huge black-and-white photos of five people hanging outside Tap4fun's office door, with Martin Luther King, John Lennon, Einstein and Muhammad Ali on both sides, and Jobs in the center.

Nie Yunchen, the founder of Heytea, always follows Jobs as an example. During his studies, he was a loyal fruit powder. When the iPad was first released and not entered China, some media wanted to hold an \"iPad Drifting Club\" event, inviting readers to try out the iPad bought from overseas. Nie Yunchen was the first person to go. He also worked as a tech editor for a while, covering a wide variety of Apple products. Since the beginning of its business, HEYTEA has given priority to products everywhere, and all raw materials are real milk and real tea. Now, in order to pursue the taste of the tea base, it is necessary to build its own tea garden and cultivate new tea trees.

Nie Yunchen followed Jobs' principle of product first, and also followed Jobs' arbitrariness in management. The rapid expansion of Heytea in the past two years has brought greater pressure on the management of operational processes. In order to introduce new professional managers, Nie Yunchen decisively drove out several VP-level executives in charge of business and support departments. They also followed the old employees who started their business from the earliest days. Here's Amway's article on our study of HEYTEA case. Neighbors are welcome to read and give advice.

Tell a story about Jobs' disciples. The two protagonists of the story are also the bosses named in the above disciples' paragraphs, so they are named by pronouncements for avoidance. It is said that a house appeared in front of Jobs' house in a certain year (one said it was an open space), and the temptation to be a neighbor with Jobs was quite great. However, this house was not cheap, asking for 10 million dollars. Y's wife took a fancy to it, and discussed the quotation with Y online. Y said, let's quote 9 million dollars. First, he checked that no one robbed a house of this level in the United States. Second, this house can't live for a few days. So Y's wife quoted $900, but the intermediary said, I'm sorry, this house was bought by another Chinese at a higher price. When Y's wife asked, it was her husband's lifelong enemy L who bought it. The reason why L bought it at a higher price is not because L, but because I think it's okay to be more expensive if it's a good thing. It's hard to tell whether this story is true or false, but it's quite in line with the personalities of the two parties.

I have to say, Jobs' appeal is really great.

Some people are alive, but they are actually walking dead. Some people are dead, but they will live forever. The latter refers to people like Jobs.

5. The people miss Jobs

Of course, there are times when Gates is smart but mistaken by smart. In the battle for who will win Tiktok, Microsoft is out as a hot spot. This is such a moment.

Speaking of which, Zhang Yiming and Gates also met once. In September 2015, national leaders paid their first state visit to the United States, and Zhang Yiming was one of the business representatives accompanying the delegation. During this period, at the dinner after the 8th China-US Internet Forum held in Seattle, Zhang Yiming sat next to Gates and excitedly sent a Weibo, \"I didn't dare to ask questions about mobile phones and other products, and talked with BillGates about the future of the operating system\".

Byte even makes donations through Gates' foundation, which is in a sense a certificate of vote. But the follow-up series of things are completely out of control. This story is very long. Someday we have time to be single eight.

But for Bill Gates, the biggest bug is that Melinda filed for divorce this time.

Our point of view is that Bill Gates and Jobs' positions in the Jianghu are staggered and leading. The first decade was when Jobs rode the dust, the second decade was when Bill Gates gradually took the lead and Jobs kept looking for the north, and the third decade Bill Gates continued to stand tall, while Jobs began to stand still. However, at this time, the PC Internet basically came to an end. In 2006, when the fourth decade started, Jobs had a super reversal opportunity.

In 2012, Apple's market value surpassed Microsoft's, but at this time, neither Apple nor Microsoft actually had little to do with the two founders. Jobs resigned a year ago, while Bill Gates made a smart choice to do charity.

Jobs commented on Gates in an interview before his death: He had no imagination, so he went to charity. While insinuating his opponent, he also expressed envy of Gates' approach.

It's like a card game. Although Jobs is ahead, Allin and Bill Gates still have a super trump card. Unexpectedly, because of Melinda's divorce, although this card is still very big, it is hard to say that it is a trump card. After all, although two people are divorced, the foundation is still two people. In the past, Melinda's right to speak in the foundation was not so strong in order to maintain marriage, but now it's hard to say, especially when women's rights are so prevalent, Gates will lose at least half or more of the control of the foundation.

But smart Gates, but smart people can only win the present, and imaginative people can lead the future. Therefore, we always envy Bill Gates, but we often miss Jobs.
","source":"lsy1577858304421","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
No one is smarter than Bill Gates, but Jobs is often missed
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNo one is smarter than Bill Gates, but Jobs is often missed\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n

\n
\n\n\n
,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2554,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":472564847362696,"gmtCreate":1756407970596,"gmtModify":1756407972937,"author":{"id":"3577099045897802","authorId":"3577099045897802","name":"知了2010","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/94af26710b772ae5fc6be0ee324fa309","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577099045897802","authorIdStr":"3577099045897802"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a Tencent News \"Periscope\" learned that there are many institutions that hope to be cornerstone investors in Naixue, and the final cornerstone list will be finalized after the hearing next week.

Some investors who have seen Heytea's financial data revealed to Tencent News \"Periscope\" that compared with Naixue, Heytea's profitability is much better than Naixue's, its cost control is better, and it is more suitable for long-term holdings. investors.
\n
\n\n\n
,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1829,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107740258,"gmtCreate":1620543346474,"gmtModify":1704344834372,"author":{"id":"3577099045897802","authorId":"3577099045897802","name":"知了2010","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/94af26710b772ae5fc6be0ee324fa309","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577099045897802","authorIdStr":"3577099045897802"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"!","listText":"!","text":"!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/107740258","repostId":"1149370314","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1149370314","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1620524058,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1149370314?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-09 09:34","market":"us","language":"zh","title":"No one is smarter than Bill Gates, but Jobs is often missed","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1149370314","media":"左林右狸","summary":"引言:聪明的人总能赢得当下,有想象力的人引领未来。

\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n

\n
\n\n\n
source:<a II,晚上去大学学习编程,白天在学校教学生编程。梅琳达编写了一些基础小程序,这是她对计算机兴趣的来源。\n\n几年后梅琳达拿到了杜克大学的计算机和经济学双学士学位,随后进入微软,并且攻读了杜克大学福夸商学院的MBA,她是这届MBA中唯一的女性。梅琳达非常聪明,和比尔盖茨刚刚约会时,两个人一起玩数学游戏,盖茨老是玩不过她,第一次玩“线索”游戏(美国版的剧本杀),梅琳达也是大获全胜。这可能是盖茨陷入爱情的开端。\n比尔盖茨总是会被聪明人吸引,他的前女友温布莱德也是个聪明人。\n温布莱德1950年11月1日出生,比盖茨大了5岁,依靠自己做鸡尾酒吧服务员的工作完成学业,在圣凯瑟琳大学获得数学和工商管理学士学位,在明尼苏达州圣保罗的圣托马斯大学获得教育硕士学位。\n温布莱德的第一份工作是美联储的程序员,13个月后,她和三个同事一起离开美联储成立了会计软件公司,名为开放系统公司,该公司初始投资500万美元,六年后以1500万美元的价格出售。\n她还是美国早期风险投资的先锋。左林右狸频道的老朋友,行业老炮张宇宙同学的公众号“事后算账”中写到这样一个故事,80年代的一次风险投资者活动中,温布莱德是在场的少数女性之一,组织者给她分配的双人间中,另外一人是场上的女性表演“艺术家”,其实是一位脱衣舞女。可见早期女性风投家数量之稀少。\n温布莱德和比尔盖茨于1984年在Ben Rosen-Esther Dyson的计算机会议上相遇,之后三年约会并同居。分手后温布莱德事业更上一层楼,她和前NBA球星约翰·哈默联合成立了哈默-温布莱德投资公司。\n有传言盖茨和温布莱德的分手是出于盖茨母亲的阻拦,因为温布莱德年纪太大,不适于结婚。但是温布莱德曾公开表示,当她还是一个年轻的风投家时,玛丽盖茨给过她很好的建议,而且每次见到玛丽,温布莱德都会得到一封手写的感谢信。\n至于温布莱德有没有退出盖茨的感情世界,这至今都是个未解之谜。梅琳达与盖茨的婚姻里是有温布莱德的存在的,两个人婚前有一个私下协定,盖茨每年要求与温布莱德共度一周假期,梅琳达不得干涉,盖茨和温布莱德两个人也确实年年都在北卡罗来纳外滩岛的海边小屋度假。盖茨说,他虽然每年都要和温布莱德在一起呆一段时间,但是两人只是在一起谈论一些计算机上的问题而已。聪明的比尔盖茨用他的方式尽享齐人之福。\n坊间传闻,有一次,温布莱德因为插手盖茨基金会的事情和梅琳达起了冲突,让梅琳达万万没有想到的是,她的丈夫居然坚定地站在温布莱德那边。那一次,梅琳达终于忍无可忍,情绪失控,对着比尔·盖茨大声吼道:难道我还不够宽容吗?\n左林右狸频道无比想知道的是,盖茨和梅琳达的三个子女之前知道不知道温布莱德的存在,今天之后,肯定都是知道的,之前呢?不过,他们俩最小的女儿已经18岁了,已经到了面对世界美好和丑陋等诸多一切的年龄了。\n盖茨能成为世界首富,与他的前国家银行行长女儿的母亲颇有关联。诸多报道说是盖茨的母亲是IBM董事,说服IBM给了微软关于操作系统的第一笔订单,于是微软开始起步。其实这句话对了一半。盖茨的母亲玛丽·盖茨不是IBM董事,而是华盛顿大学的董事。华盛顿大学是美国排名前20的大学,倒不是因为在华盛顿DC得名,而是位于华盛顿州西雅图市。\n\n西雅图位于美国西海岸,临普吉特海湾,环华盛顿湖,往西雅图西边眺望,奥林匹克山雪峰历历在目,而东面远处,也是连绵不断的雪山, 东南部的 Rainier(雷里尔)雪山,则终年不化。空气清新,花木盎然,一年四季风景宜人。很多中国高科技企业的新贵在这里置地。譬如邢山虎和张云帆,还有那谁谁。\n如果要鸡蛋里挑骨头的话,那就是与阳光明媚的旧金山湾区相比,西雅图阴雨天稍微多了一些,这也是为什么微软雷德蒙园区里建筑走向七零八落但又有啥内在规律的原因所在,最大程度保证每个程序员的办公室都有一个大的落地窗,以最大程度的采光,以更好的享受每个阳光灿烂的日子。\n前述那句话对的一半是,成就微软最重要的一笔订单确实来自IBM,也是多亏了玛丽·盖茨的人际关系。玛丽也是全国联合道路慈善基金会理事会的首名女性主席(盖茨做慈善是有家学渊源的),IBM彼时的董事长约翰·欧佩尔也在这个协会。约翰任职期间推出了首部PC机IBM5150,当时正在找公司帮他们写操作系统。玛丽向约翰大力推荐了自己儿子的公司,有意思的是,当得知IBM需要操作系统而不是比尔盖茨和艾伦能做的通用软件时,比尔盖茨满口答应下来自己能做,这惊呆了一旁的艾伦。\nIBM只给了小半年的时间,盖茨这是给他和艾伦找了一个难题,他自己也被逼得痛苦无比。\n好消息是艾伦打听到了西雅图电脑产品公司一名叫做帕特森的程序员花了四年时间编写出了86-DOS系统,他们俩赶过去拜访了帕特森,花了5万美金从西雅图电脑买下了这款产品的全部版权,而且拒绝透露产品的用途。\n拿到系统之后盖茨告诉母亲,接下来半年可能都见不到他了,然后他就率领团队开始了疯狂加班,在半年时间内将86-DOS系统改造成了适配IBM电脑的MS-DOS系统。第二年三月,DOS系统通过了验收,微软公司从此成为IBM提供操作系统的唯一制造商。\n而且比尔盖茨还使了个小心眼,和IBM签订的是一个licence的协议,而且还不排他,最终微软推出的操作系统成为IBM电脑以及几乎所有PC的桌面操作系统。比尔盖茨够聪明的。\n二、颠覆者乔布斯\n比尔·盖茨出生于1955年,按照《异类》一书的说法,1955年出生的美国人成功概率大于其他年份,这一年出生的人在20岁的时候正好赶上电脑革命的浪潮,享受黎明的第一道曙光。这个年份出生的还有谷歌的前CEO埃里克·施密特,Sun公司的两位创始人安迪·贝拓尔斯海姆和维诺德·科斯拉也是这一年生人,以及乔布斯。\n\n微软和苹果,比尔盖茨和乔布斯,很长时间,这两家公司,这两个人都是美国乃至全球信息产业的绝代双骄。\n如果说比尔盖茨是含着金钥匙长大的超级聪明人,那么,自己由养父母养大的乔布斯是典型的草根天才,关于这两个人的比较,套用一个足球领域的比喻,那就是比尔盖茨是C罗,而乔布斯是梅西。\n在左林右狸频道看来,如果乔布斯不是追求极致,就没有微软啥事情了。\n众所周知,沃兹尼亚克在家酿俱乐部里看到能跑Basic的牛郎星决定组装出属于自己的个人电脑,他和乔布斯两个人很快在1976年4月在乔布斯家的车库共同创立了苹果公司,1977年第一届西海岸电脑交易会上,苹果公司推出个人电脑历史上的划时代的苹果II型机,大获成功,四年后1980年苹果公司上市,一下子成为那个时代的超级新贵。\n可以说IBM的个人电脑项目部分程度上也受到了苹果II的刺激,这才有了微软逆袭的故事。\n这个时候的微软不仅给IBM开发软件,也给苹果干活。1982年,苹果一年的销售收入已经10亿美元,而微软只有3200万美元,差得有些大。转折点发生在1983年。\n因为1983年1月追求极致的乔布斯推迟了苹果麦克金什电脑的发布整整一年,1983年11月,微软得以在与苹果合作期结束后迅速转过去向IBM提供图形界面的操作系统,由此让苹果和IBM之间的天平倒向IBM。\nIBM苹果鹬蚌相争,微软得利,聪明不过比尔盖茨。\n即便有致敬1984这样的神操作,但在强大的IBM攻势面前乔布斯也无法挽回苹果电脑的败局。\n而与此同时,微软进入快速上升通道。\n对应的1985年乔布斯被赶出苹果,而一年后的1986年微软上市。\n到了2006年乔布斯推出第一代iPhone的时候,比尔·盖茨则宣布退休。两个人一起用自己的方式引领并最终终结了整个PC(互联网)时代。\n两个人其间也有很多交往,比如乔布斯长期坚称微软抄袭了苹果关于图形界面系统的创意,苹果从上个世纪80年代起就不停发起对微软诉讼。乔布斯第二次创业的NeXT公司因为没有跟盖茨谈拢,得不到微软开发的软件支持而失败。回归苹果后乔布斯用苹果放弃诉讼的权利取得了微软对苹果麦金塔电脑的支持,而且还要盖茨购买1.5亿美元无投票权的苹果股票以示支持。\n要论乔布斯和盖茨谁对信息产业的贡献更大,这是个见仁见智的问题,但是要论行业开创性的影响,毫无疑问乔布斯更多一些。沃兹尼亚克设计出了苹果 II上非凡的电路板和相关操作软件,乔布斯将其整合为了一台完美的个人电脑。苹果II推动了整个产业的变革,从此计算机进入了家庭时代。\n创办NeXT,收购制图小组(后改名为皮克斯),乔布斯本来是想在电脑3D图像技术上大展拳脚,却在无心插柳之中成就了将3D电脑绘图用于电影制作的伟大变革,给动画产业注入了新的活力。乔布斯算不上3D动画长片的主导者,这次颠覆式创新顶多给他记上半分。\n重新回到苹果的乔布斯才是真正走到了能够大展拳脚的新路口。他卓越的想象力、无与伦比的营销手段、与非凡的领导力结合起来,在全球刮起了一阵苹果旋风。在麦金塔电脑卖出2000万台后,苹果推出了iTunes音乐商店和iPod数字音乐播放器,通过卓越的使用体验逆转了音乐界的盗版之风。直到2006年,乔布斯推出最为人称颂的作品iPhone,将多点触控屏和虚拟键盘推向大众,造就了一台强大的运算设备、网络客户终端、以及加强版的iPod。iPhone把乔布斯送上了神坛,说一句乔布斯一手撕开了移动互联网时代的大幕真不为过。\n三、科技领袖的超级豪宅\n硅谷的游学项目里总是有这么一条,就是参观乔布斯的故居,特别是国庆期间的团,本身能赶上乔布斯的忌日(10月4日),乔布斯故居位于losalto的Crist Drive 2066号,是乔布斯14岁开始住的地方,这套房子乔布斯的养母还在那里住。2013年10月28日,该房子被市政委员会认定为历史遗迹,而该市的市政委员会的主席据说是Google的创始人之一的老婆,选其当主席到位好处是一旦市政建设有缺口或公益项目推动总有人挺身而出。\n不过,万圣节到乔布斯在Paloalto房子游玩才是正解。硅谷的万圣节大操大办的传统正是从乔布斯开始形成的,据说乔布斯本人也会藏在自己家拜访的稻草人、南瓜、骷髅、蜘蛛网后,突然跳出来吓前来讨糖的小朋友一跳。\n\n乔布斯的这处房子位于paloalto Waverley street 街区,本身也是硅谷的高档社区之一,同一条街的100号住的是Google的创始人的拉里佩奇,这世界不大。这个片区还活跃着一位与中国互联网关系颇深的女性中介,BAT级别高管某Martin的姐姐。\n有目击者说,时常能看到乔布斯穿着高领黑色毛衣光着脚打理花园。\n在90年代中期搬来Paloalto前,乔布斯住在woodside的一栋有百年历史的拉丁风格的老房子,住了有十年的样子,直到他的老婆劳伦鲍威尔有孕。乔布斯很喜欢woodside,他在这里不止一套房子。公共记录显示,鲍威尔·乔布斯在woodside拥有两处房产,分别价值750万美元和1000万美元。Woodside顾名思义在林边,与硅谷也只隔着一条沙丘街,乔布斯在Woodside的邻居是Oracle的老板埃里克森,有个段子讲得是1986年,乔布斯被赶出苹果后落寞的那一年,埃里克森有天在他Woodside的家里睡觉,一只闯进院子的孔雀吵醒了它,埃里克森得知孔雀是邻居乔布斯养的,于是跑过去抱怨,乔布斯说,哈,你也不喜欢这只鸟啊。孔雀是我女朋友送的,我得想办法弄掉它。两个人哈哈一笑,相互成了朋友,并经常约着一起散步。乔布斯和埃里克森都很喜欢日本禅宗,埃里克森的豪奢日式庄园造价高达2亿美元,一直是硅谷乃至全球科技豪宅的头牌,埃里克森在Atherton的房子同样是日式园林。\n卫哲和丁磊在林边也有大房子,这蛮符合他们的调性。中国科技富豪们在硅谷置地是个有趣的话题,我们容后再八。\n有报道说乔布斯也在Cupertino有过住处,这并非事实,乔布斯在Cupertino读的中学,也正因为此,他们才从moutainview搬到losalto南边临Cupertino的地方。乔布斯生前最后的作品今天硅谷超级网红打卡地标------苹果宇宙飞船总部离乔布斯的中学走路可至。\n\n盖茨的西雅图豪宅世外桃源2.0同样称得上传世之作,该豪宅位于华盛顿湖东部岸边的麦迪娜半岛,这是一个三面环水的半岛,邻居就是贝索斯,以及微软的一众高管们。麦迪娜半岛上有美国最小的市,和全美颜值最高的女警巡逻队,据说是为岛上这些顶级富豪而专设的,为什么要要求女警颜值,是怕巡逻时吓坏孩子。\n超级大公司高管比邻而居似乎是常态,硅谷的losalto hill因为孙正义和杨致远在那里有房子,所以Jack马也在那里买,因为Jack马,一票阿里高管也在losalto hill挨着马爸爸买,一位阿里的高管说得好,挨着老板住,时不时串个门,得到的信息差,获得的资源比房子值钱多了。更何况,阿里上市后套现回来的美元又不回来,买房子理财是个不错的选择。\n在深圳的顶级豪宅区波特菲诺也因为另外一个马爸爸在这里栖居所以聚集足够多腾讯高管而一直卓尔不群,同样的是临湖而建,同样是闹中取静,同样是宁静致远,正是物以类聚,人以群居。\n回来八盖茨的豪宅世外桃源2.0,占地6.6万平方英亩,建造时整个山头被挖去了一半,盖茨为此花费了9700万美元,光是会客大厅就有214平米。宠物也是与众不同,屋里养着一条濒危保护动物鲸鲨。\n\n这所豪宅里有一间圆顶型私人图书馆,屋顶中间有一个接收自然光线的天窗,里面保存了比尔盖茨购买的一些传世宝物和名家珍品,包括希区柯克电影《惊魂记》的剧本手稿和拿破仑写给约瑟芬的情书,还有达芬奇一份具有预言科学理论的《莱斯特手稿》,是他在1994年以2080万美元的价格从佳士得买下的。比尔盖茨把这幅手稿制作成VCD,以每张50美元的价格大赚了一笔。聪明莫过盖茨。\n比尔盖茨家的房子是可以参观的,每次3.5万美金,虽然价格昂贵,但还是很多人趋之若鹜。\n这所豪宅最值得一提的特点是招待过很多名人。2006年胡主席访美的时候,白天参观过微软公司总部,当天晚上出席了盖茨家里举办的晚宴。也就是在这次晚宴上,出现了后来让中国国产软件业者为之唏嘘的关于盗版话题比尔盖茨和胡一问一答的名场面。\n这次晚宴后显性事实是微软公司拿下了联想的12亿美元大单,从此之后联想电脑都要预装正版Windows系统。隐性事实是,中国的政府关于软件的采购计划就此转向,刚刚兴起的国产办公软件替代计划就此搁浅,更别提本土操作系统的纵深,比尔·盖茨这一顿晚宴,改变了中国信息产业至少十年的走向。\n这次晚宴最受伤的是一个叫倪光南的老人,而这次晚宴利益关联人Mrlu之后则一路扶摇直上。但十年后的2015年,又一次国家领导人访问西雅图,同样的一幕并没有发生,相反,十年前的两位旧人心境和命运都由此逆转。这段故事,有兴趣的读者可以到我们的知识星球里进行讨论。\n四、盖茨和乔布斯的中国门徒\n比尔·盖茨与中国的恩怨情仇,远不止此。清华和北大,中国的这两所最高学府,也为比尔盖茨打过一次口水仗。口水仗的主角是1998年成立的微软的中国研究院(后升级为亚洲研究院),辩题是到底是因为北大还是清华,成就了这中国科技史上最成功的研究院。\n北大的支持者认为,比尔盖茨1994年第一次访问中国,在三天的连环行程里,只参观了北大。但清华的拥趸认为,在1997年的圣诞节前夕,比尔·盖茨再一次来中国访问,这一次,他拜访了中国的另一所名校清华,并在清华做了一次演讲,按照清华大学计算机系原党委书记杨士强的回忆,当时向比尔·盖茨提问的学生叫清华计算机系1994年入学的李凌,被王小川称为偶像师兄的存在,清华的学生团支书、特等奖得主、系科协主席、全球数学建模大赛第一名等一系列荣誉加持者。\n按照清华乐见其成的说法,比尔·盖茨也被清华学生的热情鼓舞,回去就改变了之前定下的去印度的计划,来年在北京设立了微软中国研究院,这话没毛病,但确实也有可能是当年北大之行播下的种子,谁知道呢?反正对比尔盖茨来说,北大学生也罢,清华学生也罢,都是微软盘中的菜。\n因为写作《中国人工智能简史》的的关系,我们接触有三位数的微软亚研成员,这些微软亚研的人都很感激比尔盖茨。\n乔布斯没有来过中国,但这不影响他在中国有着诸多的门徒。中国国产手机的老板们有一半自比乔布斯,小米的雷军甚至被戏称为雷布斯,一直对手机念念不忘的周鸿祎也不止一次和我们讨论他本人与乔布斯的异同;魅族的黄章和锤子的罗永浩也虽然没有乔布斯的命,但得了乔布斯的病。智能硬件业界,同样有诸多乔布斯的超级拥趸,优必选的周剑、华米的黄汪以及他的前同行土曼汪伟都在此列,其实大疆的汪滔也是乔布斯的信徒,不过对于乔布斯门徒汪滔至少算半个,当年红杉的全球合伙人莫里茨看到大疆无人机后感叹这和他当年看到麦可金什电脑一样震撼,由此,莫里茨亲自跑到中国来见汪滔表示要投大疆。红杉是苹果的投资人,莫里茨也与乔布斯交往甚多,也帮乔布斯写过书,算乔布斯的身边人。\n如果把领域不限于手机和智能硬件,我们知道的乔布斯的中国门徒还有Tap4fun的杨祥吉和喜茶的聂云宸。\nTap4fun是手游“银河帝国”的开发者,这个游戏因为在2013年超越“愤怒的小鸟”登上App Store美国区收入榜第一名而闻名。创始人杨祥吉说他自己创业都是源于乔布斯在iPhone发布时的一句话:“iPhone is everything to everyone.”\n这家公司的产品和市场战略也朝着苹果看齐,比如说他们坚持要做“Insanely Great Games”的梦想,就是朝着乔布斯“Keep putting great products”的名言看齐,而且还只制作iOS游戏,专注海外市场。Tap4fun办公室门外挂着五个人的巨幅黑白照,马丁·路德·金、约翰·列侬、爱因斯坦、穆罕默德·阿里在两旁,乔布斯在最中央。\n喜茶的创始人聂云宸更是时时以乔布斯为榜样。他在读书期间就是忠诚果粉,iPad刚发布还没进入中国时,有媒体要举办“iPad漂流会”的活动,邀请读者试玩从海外买回来的iPad,聂云宸就是第一批去的人。他还做过一段时间的科技编辑,报道各种各样的苹果产品。喜茶从创业伊始就处处产品优先,原材料全部采用真奶真茶,现在为了追求茶底的口感,要自建茶园,培育新茶树。\n聂云宸追随了产品至上的乔布斯原则,也追随了乔布斯在管理上的独断专行。最近两年喜茶快速扩张,给运营流程管理上带来较大压力,为了引进新的职业经理人,聂云宸果断赶走了几位主管业务和支持部门的VP级高管,他们也是从最早期就跟随创业的老员工。在此安利一下我们研究喜茶案例的文章,欢迎各位邻里阅读指教。\n\n讲一个乔布斯门徒的段子,故事的两位主角也是上文门徒段落里点到的名的大佬,为避讳以代称。话说某年乔布斯家门口出现一处房子(一说是空地),与乔布斯做邻居的诱惑还是蛮大的,但这处房子不便宜,要价1000万美金,Y的老婆看中,在线和Y商量咋报价,Y说,咱报900万美金,第一他查过,这样级别的房子在美国没有什么人抢,第二,这房子自己也住不了几天。于是Y老婆报价900美金,但中介说,对不起,这房子被另外一位中国人加价买走了,Y老婆一问,是他老公的一生之敌L买走了。L之所以加价买倒不是因为L,而是觉得是好东西贵点也无妨。这个故事真假难辨,但蛮符合两位当事人的人设的。\n不得不说,乔布斯的号召力真心大。\n有的人活着,但他其实已经行尸走肉,有的人死了,但他永存人心间,后者说的是乔布斯这样的人。\n五、人民怀念乔布斯\n盖茨当然也有聪明反被聪明误的时候,在Tiktok花落谁家的争夺战里,微软作为大热出局,就是这样的时刻。\n说起来张一鸣跟盖茨还见过一面,2015年9月国家领导人对美国进行首次国事访问,张一鸣是随团的企业代表之一。在此期间西雅图举办的第八届中美互联网论坛后的饭局上,张一鸣坐在盖茨旁边,还激动地发了一个微博,“没敢问手机等产品问题,和BillGates聊了操作系统的未来”。\n\n字节甚至通过盖茨的基金会进行捐款,这某种意义上是投名状来着。但后续的一连串的事情,完全失控,这个故事很长,哪天有时间我们单八。\n但对比尔盖茨来说,最大的bug是这次被梅琳达提出离婚。\n我们的观点是,比尔盖茨和乔布斯的江湖地位是交错领先的,第一个十年是乔布斯一骑绝尘的十年,第二个是比尔盖茨渐领风骚而乔布斯不断找北的十年,第三个十年比尔盖茨继续站高,而乔布斯开始站住,但此时PC互联网基本走到头,在第四个十年开启的2006年,乔布斯本来有超级逆转的机会,也的确引领了至今的十五年的产业创新。\n2012年,苹果市值超过微软,但此时,不论苹果还是微软,其实都与两位创始人关系不大。乔布斯更是在一年前长辞人间,比尔盖茨则聪明的选择去做了慈善。\n乔布斯生前接受采访点评过盖茨:他没有想象力,所以去做慈善。暗讽对手的同时也对盖茨的做法表示羡慕。\n这好比牌局,乔布斯虽然领先,但已经Allin,比尔盖茨却还有一张超级王牌没有出,想不到的是,因为梅琳达的离婚,这张牌虽然还是很大,但很难说是王牌。毕竟,两个人虽然离婚,但基金会还是两个人的,以往梅琳达为了维护婚姻在基金会上话语权不会那么强,但如今却不好说,特别是女权如此盛行的当下,盖茨至少会失去一半甚至更多的对基金会的控制权。\n聪明不过盖茨,但聪明的人只能赢得当下,有想象力的人才能引领未来。所以,我们总是羡慕比尔盖茨,但时常怀念乔布斯。","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2554,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
