Early Tesla investors are surely enjoying the stock's dramatic rise. But if you are among the ones who missed investing earlier, you must be wondering if it is already too late to invest in the electric vehicle (EV) pioneer.Let's discuss if it still makes sense to buy the stock.Tesla continues to growFounded in 2003, Tesla made its first annual profit, $721 million, in 2020. In 2021, the company's profit surged 665% to $5.5 billion. At the same time, its revenue grew 71% for the year. The strong growth was supported by an 87% increase in vehicle deliveries in 2021.A Tesla Model Y. Image source: Tesla.Most investors and analysts agree that Tesla is very likely to continue growing its vehicle deliveries. To that end, the company is opening new factories; it started deliveries from its German factory on Tuesday and is expected to open its Texas factory soon. In short, Tesla is well on its way to becoming one of the largest automakers in the world.And the company has managed to distinguish itself from traditional automakers by generating high margins.TSLA profit margin (quarterly). Data by YCharts.Ford's high margin in the chart above is attributable to a gain relating to its Rivian investment. It reported an adjusted EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) margin of 5.4% for the fourth quarter. So Tesla's profit margin in the latest quarter well exceeded that of traditional automakers.Those high margins can be attributed to several factors. The first one is high-margin services, including full self-driving (FSD) features and over-the-air software updates, which command higher profits than traditional vehicle sales. Other factors include high vertical integration, an absence of a dealer network, and low marketing expenses.Innovation is Tesla's key differentiatorDespite the high growth, at a $1 trillion market capitalization, value-focused investors are understandably wary of Tesla. But the stock has defied traditional valuation metrics so far. The big question is: Can it continue to do so?While no one can answer that question conclusively, I'm inclined toward a yes. Apart from high margins and scale, some other factors could support Tesla's valuation in the future. The top one is the automaker's FSD feature.Tesla already has nearly 60,000 vehicles in its FSD beta program. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded the vision-only FSD version in certain Tesla models a score of \"superior\" in collision avoidance and has given it a Top Safety Pick+, the highest possible rating.The company could have significant potential to expand its margins if its FSD feature shapes up as the company is hoping. Though there are other companies working on autonomous driving -- such as Alphabet with its Waymo and General Motors with its Cruise -- Tesla could have an edge. With the large number of vehicles in use, it could have vastly more data to train its program than its competitors have. And FSD features developed in-house will again tap into the benefits of vertical integration. It could even offer the feature for a fee to other automakers. But this is just speculation and may not turn out as expected.Though it could be difficult to imagine what Tesla will do next, its growth hinges on innovation. And the company seems to have no dearth of it so far.Should you buy Tesla stock now?Tesla's higher margins give some credibility to the reasoning that it should be valued as a technology stock.TSLA market cap. Data by YCharts.Tesla's high earnings growth makes its forward price/earnings-to-growth (PEG) ratio attractive, despite its high price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio.TSLA PE ratio (forward 1 year). Data by YCharts.A PEG ratio compares a stock's P/E to the expected growth in its earnings. All other things being equal, the stock of a company growing its earnings at a higher rate is expected to trade at a higher P/E ratio.Tesla generated $5.5 billion in net income in 2021, selling nearly 1 million EVs. As the company's sales rise, its profits should increase proportionally, if the company maintains its margins. When that happens, Tesla stock's current valuation will start to make sense in retrospect. That's because the stock price will have likely risen more, making valuation incomprehensible again at that point in future!In short, while Tesla stock might not generate the 10-bagger returns it did in the past two years, it looks well positioned to generate market-beating returns in the years to come. So it's likely not too late to add this top stock to your portfolio.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3197,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9038870649,"gmtCreate":1646798840446,"gmtModify":1676534164057,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579362076394577","authorIdStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks ","listText":"Thanks ","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9038870649","repostId":"1101694670","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1101694670","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1646705337,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1101694670?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-08 10:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Why Did Nvidia's Stock Plummet on Monday","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1101694670","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Goldman Sachs kind of likes Nvidia -- but can't recommend buying it.","content":"<div>\n<p>What happenedShares of Nvidia stock fell off a cliff Monday morning, tumbling 6.9% by closed. That's actually a bit surprising though, given the news today:Goldman Sachs just reinitiated coverage of Nvidia.Image source: Getty Images.So whatWhat's more, Goldman Sachs didn't even diss the stock -- to the contrary, Goldman kind of likes Nvidia.\"We continue to view Nvidia as an industry leader in accelerated computing,\" said the analyst, \"and expect the proliferation of [artificial intelligence and machine learning] to drive earnings growth and a valuation multiple that exceeds the industry average over the long-run.\"Furthermore, Goldman sees a possible \"positive catalyst for the stock\" in Nvidia's upcoming annual Graphics Technology Conference (GTC 2022) to be held from March 21 to March 24. \"We expect management to unveil new products and provide more detail on its expanding SAM,\" said Goldman in a note covered by StreetInsider.com.Now whatAll that being said, Goldman Sachs warned that that at its current share price of $219 and change, \"risk/reward on the stock is fairly balanced on a 12-month basis.\"For this reason, Goldman declined to recommend the semiconductors star, assigning Nvidia only a $245 price target and a neutral rating. Moreover, the company didn't give even a hint of being interested in changing its mind (or its rating) on Nvidia in the near future, saying instead, \"We await normalization in consumer GPU demand and/or a better entry point before turning more constructive on the stock.\"And sad to say, I have to agree with Goldman Sachs on this one. Although it's true that Nvidia stock has gotten a lot cheaper -- losing about a third of its value over the last three months -- at a stock price currently 63 times trailing earnings, Nvidia still looks too expensive based on its projected 21% long-term annual earnings growth rate.Simply put: A price-to-earnings growth ratio of 3 is too high a price to pay -- even for Nvidia.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1794,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9031720548,"gmtCreate":1646674670419,"gmtModify":1676534149321,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579362076394577","authorIdStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9031720548","repostId":"1153770141","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2599,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9031032883,"gmtCreate":1646380033542,"gmtModify":1676534124153,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579362076394577","authorIdStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"thanks","listText":"thanks","text":"thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9031032883","repostId":"9039420459","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":9039420459,"gmtCreate":1646103052729,"gmtModify":1676534091538,"author":{"id":"4103964166972300","authorId":"4103964166972300","name":"HONGHAO","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/a26aa9fb50cf7fbc23e6d68527832622","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4103964166972300","authorIdStr":"4103964166972300"},"themes":[],"title":"How the Russian-Ukraine War Will Affect the Chinese Stock Market","htmlText":"The real tragedy is when two powers meet. Then came the exchange traded fund (ETF) revolution in January of 1993 with the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY). Suddenly, self-directed investors could get easy exposure to the S&P 500 index simply by owning SPY stock.Not only was this the very first ETF, but three decades later, it’s still the most famous one that tracks a major U.S. financial market index. The fund’s prime directive, really, is to move in lockstep with the S&P 500.With $387.5 billion worth of assets under management, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust might even be considered a mutual fund killer. At the very least, it can help non-professional investors avoid exorbitant fees.You might be ready to start buying SPY stock, but hold on. You wouldn’t want to buy something without knowing what you’re betting your hard-earned money on. With that in mind, let’s delve into a fabulous fund that might deserve a place in your portfolio.A Closer Look at SPY StockFirst and foremost, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust pays a dividend yield that’s fairly similar to its underlying index. According to the fund’s website, the S&P 500’s annual dividend yield is 1.45%, while the fund distributes a yield of 1.34%.SPY stock’s five-year monthly beta is 1, which makes perfect sense. After all, beta refers to how fast an asset moves, in both directions, compared to the S&P 500 index. A beta of 1 means that the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust is moving as fast as the index, so that’s a good sign.Now, here’s one of my favorite things about this fund. It has one of the lowest expense ratios (basically, what the shareholders are paying the fund’s managers) in the business.Between the trustee’s fee, S&P license fee, marketing and other operating expenses, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust’s total expense ratio is just 0.0945%. That’s less than a tenth of a percent, so as an investor, you probably won’t even notice it.What’s in the Fund?“Know what you own” is a wise old saying in the financial markets. So, it’s a good idea to learn about what’s in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust before taking a position in it.When browsing through the fund’s components or holdings, one thing will stand out immediately. It’s undeniable: there are a lot of technology-focused businesses in the fund.Like the S&P 500 itself, SPY stock is market-capitalization-weighted. Therefore, the biggest companies will take up larger percentages of the fund.Interestingly, the top five holdings in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust make up over 20% of the fund. Furthermore, they’re all technology companies.In order, the top five holdings are Apple(NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL) Class A and Class C shares.It might seem odd that Alphabet, the parent company of the Google search engine, gets to be numbers four and five on the list. Yet, that’s because the company offers two different types of stock shares, and they’re both quite popular.Also in the fund’s top-ten holdings are Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:FB) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA). Are you detecting a common theme here? These are all tech businesses, of course. Hence, you’d better be on board with technology-sector investing if you’re going to hold SPY stock.The Bottom LineSince it represents hundreds of companies, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust does offer instant diversification.Yet, it’s also heavily weighted toward technology businesses. Some investors might take issue with this.That’s understandable, but SPY stock has its advantages. The funds’ fees are rock-bottom, and it does a commendable job of tracking the S&P 500. Thus, you can feel confident using a buy-and-hold strategy with the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SPY":0.9,"GOOG":0.9,"MSFT":0.9,"AMZN":0.9,"NVDA":0.9,"AAPL":0.9,"FB":0.9,"GOOGL":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2314,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9039627281,"gmtCreate":1646026062176,"gmtModify":1676534083549,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579362076394577","authorIdStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9039627281","repostId":"1164799025","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1164799025","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1646007211,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1164799025?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-28 08:13","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Higher Open Projected For Singapore Stock Market","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1164799025","media":"RTTNews","summary":"The Singapore stock market on Friday halted the five-day losing streak in which it had tumbled more than 165 points or 5 percent. ThaiBev is still seeking to raise about $2 billion from the brewery business’s IPO, the people said, asking not to be identified as the process is private.Shares in ThaiBev trimmed losses in Singapore after the Bloomberg News report, with the stock down 0.7% after sinking as much as 2.9% earlier in the day.The sale could take place as soon as the second quarter, or ThaiBev’s fiscal third quarter, though the company will have to update the unit’s financial statements with Singapore Exchange Ltd. before the listing can resume, the people said. A share sale could value the brewery arm at about $10 billion, one of the people said.Preparations are ongoing, details such as size and timing could change and there is no certainty that the listing will proceed, the people said. A representative for ThaiBev declined to comment.Should the IPO finally go ahead, it would be Singapore’s biggest since the 2011 listing of Hutchison Port Holdings Trust, which raised $5.5 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The deal would also give a boost to first-time share sales in the city-state, which hosted eight new listings raising $1.06 billion in total last year, the data show.ThaiBev will proceed with the planned Singapore listing of shares in BeerCo “when market timing is right,” and it will be part of the reorganization of the beverage giant’s business groups to “unlock market value,” Chief Executive Officer Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi told reporters at a briefing in Bangkok in September.BeerCo was set up to house all of the beverage giant’s beer-related activities. Its first listing plan in May 2020 was scuppered by Thailand’s lockdown in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. A second effort was thwarted by the worst wave of the country’s outbreak, which started in April and prompted closures of bars and nightclubs, the CEO said.Apart from the brewery business, ThaiBev also runs distilleries that produce liquor including SongSam rum, Meridian brandy and Drummer whiskey. It owns about 28.5% of Singapore’s Fraser & Neave Ltd., which sells 100Plus soft drinks and Magnolia dairy products, data compiled by Bloomberg show.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"Y92.SI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2325,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092838788,"gmtCreate":1644578496199,"gmtModify":1676533943031,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579362076394577","authorIdStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092838788","repostId":"1182695637","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1182695637","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1644575444,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1182695637?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-11 18:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Stock Futures Point to More Losses Amid Surging Inflation","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1182695637","media":"WSJ","summary":"U.S. stock futures fell and bond yields largely rose, suggesting that the volatility driven by highe","content":"<html><head></head><body><p>U.S. stock futures fell and bond yields largely rose, suggesting that the volatility driven by higher-than-expected inflation data would extend into a second day.</p><p>Futures tied to the S&P 500 declined 0.5% Friday, suggesting the broad index is set to fall further after it closed down 1.8% Thursday. Early Tesla investors are surely enjoying the stock's dramatic rise. But if you are among the ones who missed investing earlier, you must be wondering if it is already too late to invest in the electric vehicle (EV) pioneer.Let's discuss if it still makes sense to buy the stock.Tesla continues to growFounded in 2003, Tesla made its first annual profit, $721 million, in 2020. In 2021, the company's profit surged 665% to $5.5 billion. At the same time, its revenue grew 71% for the year. The strong growth was supported by an 87% increase in vehicle deliveries in 2021.A Tesla Model Y. Image source: Tesla.Most investors and analysts agree that Tesla is very likely to continue growing its vehicle deliveries. To that end, the company is opening new factories; it started deliveries from its German factory on Tuesday and is expected to open its Texas factory soon. In short, Tesla is well on its way to becoming one of the largest automakers in the world.And the company has managed to distinguish itself from traditional automakers by generating high margins.TSLA profit margin (quarterly). Data by YCharts.Ford's high margin in the chart above is attributable to a gain relating to its Rivian investment. It reported an adjusted EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) margin of 5.4% for the fourth quarter. So Tesla's profit margin in the latest quarter well exceeded that of traditional automakers.Those high margins can be attributed to several factors. The first one is high-margin services, including full self-driving (FSD) features and over-the-air software updates, which command higher profits than traditional vehicle sales. Other factors include high vertical integration, an absence of a dealer network, and low marketing expenses.Innovation is Tesla's key differentiatorDespite the high growth, at a $1 trillion market capitalization, value-focused investors are understandably wary of Tesla. But the stock has defied traditional valuation metrics so far. The big question is: Can it continue to do so?While no one can answer that question conclusively, I'm inclined toward a yes. Apart from high margins and scale, some other factors could support Tesla's valuation in the future. The top one is the automaker's FSD feature.Tesla already has nearly 60,000 vehicles in its FSD beta program. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded the vision-only FSD version in certain Tesla models a score of \"superior\" in collision avoidance and has given it a Top Safety Pick+, the highest possible rating.The company could have significant potential to expand its margins if its FSD feature shapes up as the company is hoping. Though there are other companies working on autonomous driving -- such as Alphabet with its Waymo and General Motors with its Cruise -- Tesla could have an edge. With the large number of vehicles in use, it could have vastly more data to train its program than its competitors have. And FSD features developed in-house will again tap into the benefits of vertical integration. It could even offer the feature for a fee to other automakers. But this is just speculation and may not turn out as expected.Though it could be difficult to imagine what Tesla will do next, its growth hinges on innovation. And the company seems to have no dearth of it so far.Should you buy Tesla stock now?Tesla's higher margins give some credibility to the reasoning that it should be valued as a technology stock.TSLA market cap. Data by YCharts.Tesla's high earnings growth makes its forward price/earnings-to-growth (PEG) ratio attractive, despite its high price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio.TSLA PE ratio (forward 1 year). Data by YCharts.A PEG ratio compares a stock's P/E to the expected growth in its earnings. All other things being equal, the stock of a company growing its earnings at a higher rate is expected to trade at a higher P/E ratio.Tesla generated $5.5 billion in net income in 2021, selling nearly 1 million EVs. As the company's sales rise, its profits should increase proportionally, if the company maintains its margins. When that happens, Tesla stock's current valuation will start to make sense in retrospect. That's because the stock price will have likely risen more, making valuation incomprehensible again at that point in future!In short, while Tesla stock might not generate the 10-bagger returns it did in the past two years, it looks well positioned to generate market-beating returns in the years to come. So it's likely not too late to add this top stock to your portfolio.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3197,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9031720548,"gmtCreate":1646674670419,"gmtModify":1676534149321,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3579362076394577","idStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9031720548","repostId":"1153770141","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2599,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9031032087,"gmtCreate":1646379933622,"gmtModify":1676534124081,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3579362076394577","idStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9031032087","repostId":"2216455406","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2652,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092838788,"gmtCreate":1644578496199,"gmtModify":1676533943031,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3579362076394577","idStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thanks","listText":"Thanks","text":"Thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092838788","repostId":"1182695637","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1182695637","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1644575444,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1182695637?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-11 18:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Stock Futures Point to More Losses Amid Surging Inflation","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1182695637","media":"WSJ","summary":"U.S. stock futures fell and bond yields largely rose, suggesting that the volatility driven by highe","content":"<html><head></head><body><p>U.S. stock futures fell and bond yields largely rose, suggesting that the volatility driven by higher-than-expected inflation data would extend into a second day.</p><p>Futures tied to the S&P 500 declined 0.5% Friday, suggesting the broad index is set to fall further after it closed down 1.8% Thursday. A Federal Reserve official said the central bank may have to move more drastically to curtail consumer prices, spooking investors. The S&P 500 is now on track for its worst weekly performance since mid-January.“Inflation is currently in the public eye, it has become a political question,” said Florian Ielpo, head of macro at Lombard Odier Investment Managers. “This is something that is concerning us, we have a rising risk of monetary policy mistakes. This is the number one risk we see in 2022.”The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note climbed to 2.036%, before easing to 1.996%. It rose above 2% Thursday for the first time since mid-2019. That's actually a bit surprising though, given the news today:Goldman Sachs just reinitiated coverage of Nvidia.Image source: Getty Images.So whatWhat's more, Goldman Sachs didn't even diss the stock -- to the contrary, Goldman kind of likes Nvidia.\"We continue to view Nvidia as an industry leader in accelerated computing,\" said the analyst, \"and expect the proliferation of [artificial intelligence and machine learning] to drive earnings growth and a valuation multiple that exceeds the industry average over the long-run.\"Furthermore, Goldman sees a possible \"positive catalyst for the stock\" in Nvidia's upcoming annual Graphics Technology Conference (GTC 2022) to be held from March 21 to March 24. \"We expect management to unveil new products and provide more detail on its expanding SAM,\" said Goldman in a note covered by StreetInsider.com.Now whatAll that being said, Goldman Sachs warned that that at its current share price of $219 and change, \"risk/reward on the stock is fairly balanced on a 12-month basis.\"For this reason, Goldman declined to recommend the semiconductors star, assigning Nvidia only a $245 price target and a neutral rating. Moreover, the company didn't give even a hint of being interested in changing its mind (or its rating) on Nvidia in the near future, saying instead, \"We await normalization in consumer GPU demand and/or a better entry point before turning more constructive on the stock.\"And sad to say, I have to agree with Goldman Sachs on this one. Although it's true that Nvidia stock has gotten a lot cheaper -- losing about a third of its value over the last three months -- at a stock price currently 63 times trailing earnings, Nvidia still looks too expensive based on its projected 21% long-term annual earnings growth rate.Simply put: A price-to-earnings growth ratio of 3 is too high a price to pay -- even for Nvidia.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NVDA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1794,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9018792464,"gmtCreate":1649085881658,"gmtModify":1676534448155,"author":{"id":"3579362076394577","authorId":"3579362076394577","name":"newiak","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3579362076394577","idStr":"3579362076394577"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"thanks","listText":"thanks","text":"thanks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9018792464","repostId":"9018358715","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":9018358715,"gmtCreate":1648982319017,"gmtModify":1676534431595,"author":{"id":"3527667591235607","authorId":"3527667591235607","name":"OptionPlus","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e8009c23927adcf8b5e1e1d101178392","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3527667591235607","idStr":"3527667591235607"},"themes":[],"title":"My Q1 Options Review & Share Two Movies","htmlText":"Hello, Tiger friends, I hope you have a nice holiday. ThaiBev is still seeking to raise about $2 billion from the brewery business’s IPO, the people said, asking not to be identified as the process is private.Shares in ThaiBev trimmed losses in Singapore after the Bloomberg News report, with the stock down 0.7% after sinking as much as 2.9% earlier in the day.The sale could take place as soon as the second quarter, or ThaiBev’s fiscal third quarter, though the company will have to update the unit’s financial statements with Singapore Exchange Ltd. before the listing can resume, the people said. A share sale could value the brewery arm at about $10 billion, one of the people said.Preparations are ongoing, details such as size and timing could change and there is no certainty that the listing will proceed, the people said. A representative for ThaiBev declined to comment.Should the IPO finally go ahead, it would be Singapore’s biggest since the 2011 listing of Hutchison Port Holdings Trust, which raised $5.5 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The deal would also give a boost to first-time share sales in the city-state, which hosted eight new listings raising $1.06 billion in total last year, the data show.ThaiBev will proceed with the planned Singapore listing of shares in BeerCo “when market timing is right,” and it will be part of the reorganization of the beverage giant’s business groups to “unlock market value,” Chief Executive Officer Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi told reporters at a briefing in Bangkok in September.BeerCo was set up to house all of the beverage giant’s beer-related activities. Its first listing plan in May 2020 was scuppered by Thailand’s lockdown in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. Then came the exchange traded fund (ETF) revolution in January of 1993 with the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY). Suddenly, self-directed investors could get easy exposure to the S&P 500 index simply by owning SPY stock.Not only was this the very first ETF, but three decades later, it’s still the most famous one that tracks a major U.S. financial market index. The fund’s prime directive, really, is to move in lockstep with the S&P 500.With $387.5 billion worth of assets under management, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust might even be considered a mutual fund killer. At the very least, it can help non-professional investors avoid exorbitant fees.You might be ready to start buying SPY stock, but hold on. You wouldn’t want to buy something without knowing what you’re betting your hard-earned money on. With that in mind, let’s delve into a fabulous fund that might deserve a place in your portfolio.A Closer Look at SPY StockFirst and foremost, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust pays a dividend yield that’s fairly similar to its underlying index. According to the fund’s website, the S&P 500’s annual dividend yield is 1.45%, while the fund distributes a yield of 1.34%.SPY stock’s five-year monthly beta is 1, which makes perfect sense. After all, beta refers to how fast an asset moves, in both directions, compared to the S&P 500 index. A beta of 1 means that the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust is moving as fast as the index, so that’s a good sign.Now, here’s one of my favorite things about this fund. It has one of the lowest expense ratios (basically, what the shareholders are paying the fund’s managers) in the business.Between the trustee’s fee, S&P license fee, marketing and other operating expenses, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust’s total expense ratio is just 0.0945%. That’s less than a tenth of a percent, so as an investor, you probably won’t even notice it.What’s in the Fund?“Know what you own” is a wise old saying in the financial markets. So, it’s a good idea to learn about what’s in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust before taking a position in it.When browsing through the fund’s components or holdings, one thing will stand out immediately. It’s undeniable: there are a lot of technology-focused businesses in the fund.Like the S&P 500 itself, SPY stock is market-capitalization-weighted. Therefore, the biggest companies will take up larger percentages of the fund.Interestingly, the top five holdings in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust make up over 20% of the fund. Furthermore, they’re all technology companies.In order, the top five holdings are Apple(NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT), Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL) Class A and Class C shares.It might seem odd that Alphabet, the parent company of the Google search engine, gets to be numbers four and five on the list. Yet, that’s because the company offers two different types of stock shares, and they’re both quite popular.Also in the fund’s top-ten holdings are Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:FB) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA). Are you detecting a common theme here? These are all tech businesses, of course. Hence, you’d better be on board with technology-sector investing if you’re going to hold SPY stock.The Bottom LineSince it represents hundreds of companies, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust does offer instant diversification.Yet, it’s also heavily weighted toward technology businesses. Some investors might take issue with this.That’s understandable, but SPY stock has its advantages. The funds’ fees are rock-bottom, and it does a commendable job of tracking the S&P 500. Thus, you can feel confident using a buy-and-hold strategy with the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SPY":0.9,"GOOG":0.9,"MSFT":0.9,"AMZN":0.9,"NVDA":0.9,"AAPL":0.9,"FB":0.9,"GOOGL":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2314,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
