invasion clouds price outlook with threat to oilChair is likely to stress flexibility in face of uncertaintiesJerome Powell after testifying before a Senate Banking hearing in Washington. Photographer: Samuel Corum/BloombergFederal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will try to reassure lawmakers this week that the central bank will act to curb the hottest inflation in four decades while remaining flexible in the face of uncertainty posed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.Powell, in semiannual monetary-policy testimony to House and Senate panels starting Wednesday, is likely to signal the U.S. central bank will go ahead with plans for raising interest rates in March, with traders parsing his comments for hints of a potential half percentage-point move.At the same time, he may acknowledge the risks created by the conflict, which has triggered one of the worst security crises in Europe since World War II and caused oil prices to jump -- are complicating the Fed’s job.Officials have to contend with potentially stagflationary fallout from the invasion. Higher oil prices -- which have surged since the attack -- could dim demand by denting spending power if that leads to higher prices at the gas pump, but will also push headline inflation higher.Adding to the uncertainty is Powell’s own position: He’s currently serving as chair “pro tempore” while awaiting Senate confirmation to a second term. His and other Fed nominations remain stalled over Republican opposition to President Joe Biden’s pick of Sarah Bloom Raskin for Fed vice chair of supervision.“Powell will be teeing up liftoff, but also he is going to convey a high sense of uncertainty,” said Ethan Harris, head of global economics research at Bank of America Corp., who’s predicting a quarter-point move in March. “He needs to give a balanced talk that expresses concern about inflation and recognizes the strength in economic growth but says we don’t need to rush and there are uncertainties out there.”Fed officials in the wake of the Russian invasion have signaled their readiness to raise interest rates when they meet March 15-16 to confront inflation, while keeping their options open on how far or how fast they move following liftoff. What Bloomberg Economics Says...“Bloomberg Economics expects Powell to sound vigilant on inflation, but ultimately favor the gradualist approach to rate hikes due to elevated market uncertainty from the Russia-Ukraine crisis. He will not provide an explicit endorsement of a 50-basis-point hike for the March meeting, in our view. Bloomberg Economics expects the Fed to deliver a 25 basis-point hike in March.”--Anna Wong, Yelena Shulyatyeva, Andrew Husby and Eliza Winger (Bloomberg economists)“This is the Fed’s nightmare scenario, as we are pouring fuel onto an already well-kindled fire of inflation,” said Diane Swonk, chief economist for consultancy Grant Thornton. “The situation has eerie similarities to the 1970s, with external oil shock threatening a more entrenched and vicious inflation cycle.”Traders and economists alike still see the Fed kicking off rate hikes in March and a quarter-point increase is fully priced in. But bets of a bigger half-point move have been scaled back drastically as investors assess the likely impact of the Russian aggression on growth and Fed policy in the months ahead.Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic on Mondaysaidthat he is still in favor of raising rates by 25 basis points in March and was open to discussing a 50 basis-point increase if inflation data between now and the meeting comes in too hot.Officials left rates near zero in January but said they were ready to raise them “soon.” Powell’s post-meeting press conference was viewed as as hawkish at the time, leading some investors to anticipate a half-point move, but he was expected to strike a more careful tone during his testimony.“He will be more cautious given the financial market nervousness created by the Russian military assault and this will likely cement expectations for a 25 basis point rate increase,” said James Knightley, chief international economist at ING.Data on Friday showed the Fed’s preferred gauge of price pressures rising 6.1% in the 12 months through January -- three times the 2% target and the most since 1982. Another measure, the consumer price index, has shown a larger 7.5% gain, and the February CPI report will be released March 10. Officials get another important piece of evidence Friday with the February employment report. While inflation will be a focus, lawmakers could also ask Powell about the role of the Fed in implementing sanctions on Russians through the central bank’s payment system, said John Silvia, founder of Dynamic Economic Strategy and former chief economist at the Senate banking panel.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":643,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9913541666,"gmtCreate":1664028388955,"gmtModify":1676537381139,"author":{"id":"4088988742426300","authorId":"4088988742426300","name":"newbie83","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4088988742426300","authorIdStr":"4088988742426300"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":10,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9913541666","repostId":"1137021764","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1137021764","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1663982759,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1137021764?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-09-24 09:25","market":"us","language":"en","title":"The Top 5 Stocks Cathie Wood Is Buying This Week","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1137021764","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Cathie Wood has handed the reins for two of her ETFs to Ark Invest veteran Will Scherer. This week, s","content":"
\n
Cathie Wood has handed the reins for two of her ETFs to Ark Invest veteran Will Scherer. This week, she purchased shares in companies like Adobe, TuSimple and Velo3D.Shares of the ARKK Innovation ETF(...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n","source":"investorplace","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Both ETFs carry over $100 million in assets under management. The Ark Invest CEO did not provide a concrete reason for her departure, although it was announced that Will Scherer would take over as PM for the two ETFs. Scherer joined the firm in 2014 and most recently served as a trading manager. The news has investors speculating that the 66-year old Wood is preparing her succession plans. Earlier in June, she appointed Sam Korus and Nicholas Grous as associate PMs. Up until then, Wood was Ark’s only PM. Still, it appears that loyal fans aren’t ready to part ways with the outspoken investor just yet. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the top five stocks that Wood purchased this week. The Top 5 Stocks Cathie Wood Is Buying This Week1. In the most recent quarter, revenue tallied in at $19.6 million, up 60% year-over-year (YOY). Further dilution or equity raises in the near term seems unlikely, as the company had $142 million of cash on hand as of June 30.Between September 19 and September 23, the ARK Space Exploration & Innovation (BATS:ARKX) added 99,616 shares of VLD stock. After the purchase, ETF owns a total of 11.1 million shares.2. TuSimple TuSimple (NASDAQ:TSP) seeks to develop safe and efficient autonomous driving (AD) technology for trucks. However, shares of TSP stock have been hampered by a class-action lawsuit relating to an AD driving accident earlier this year.In April, The Wall Street Journal revealed that a truck with TSP AD technology had crashed on the highway into a cement barrier. At the time, TuSimple attributed the accident to “human error,” while the WSJ claimed that the accident was due to faulty technology. Afterwards, a class-action lawsuit was filed against the company, citing that it overstated its commitment to safety and rushed to bring its technology to the market. TSP shareholders have until Oct. 31 to join the lawsuit. This week, the ARK Innovation ETF (NYSEARCA:ARKK) acquired 241,626 shares of TSP stock. In the month of September, the ETF has purchased a total of 764,934 shares.3. Adobe Shares of Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) have fallen by about 30% in the past month after the software company announced that it would acquire Figma for a whopping $20 billion in cash and stock. Figma is a competitor to Adobe’s XD program and is a collaborative design platform. After the announcement, shares of ADBE fell by 17%, marking the largest decline since 2010.Figma was last valued at $10 billion in a 2021 funding round. However, shares of ADBE fell because investors believed that Adobe was paying way too much for Figma. This year, Figma is expected to generate more than $400 million in annual recurring revenue. That would mean that Adobe is paying a roughly 50x revenue multiple for the design platform. Now, Wood is stepping in and buying the dip.On Sept. 19, the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (NYSEARCA:ARKW) purchased 22,874 shares of ADBE stock. This was the first purchase of Adobe by any ARK ETF since April 27.4. Intellia Therapeutics Intellia Therapeutics (NASDAQ:NTLA) is a genome editing company that uses CRISPR technology for human therapeutic use. However, shares of NTLA have been highly volatile and carry a 52-week high of $154.15 and a 52-week low of $37.08.Last week, the company revealed interim data from the cardiomyopathy arm of its ongoing Phase 1 study in collaboration with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN). The results were promising, showing that NTLA-2001 provided mean serum transthyretin reductions between 92% and 94% with varying doses. The data supports NTLA-2001 as a one-time treatment to “permanently inactivate the TTR gene and reduce the disease-causing protein in people with ATTR-CM.”On Sept. 19, ARKK and the ARK Genomic Revolution ETF (BATS:ARKG) scooped up a combined 70,873 shares of NTLA stock. After the purchases, Intellia is now the seventh largest holding among all ARK ETFs.5. Verve Therapeutics Verve Therapeutics (NASDAQ:VERV) operates as a biotechnology company that seeks to treat cardiovascular diseases with single-course gene editing medicines. On Sept. 21, it was announced that the United Kingdom Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) had approved the company’s clinical trial authorization (CTA) application. The trial will determine the effectiveness of VERVE-101 in patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).Chief medical and scientific officer Andrew Bellinger added:This CTA marks the second regulatory clearance for VERVE-101 as we execute our global strategy focused on bringing a potential single-course gene editing treatment to patients with ASCVD around the world, beginning with HeFH.Enrollments for the trial will begin “imminently,” starting with 40 adults affected by HeFH. Furthermore, VERVE-101 has already received clearance to begin heart-1 clinical trials in New Zealand. Interim data for the trial is expected to be released next year. This week, ARKK and ARKG purchased a combined 264,606 shares of VERV stock. After the purchases, Ark Invest now owns a total of 2.59 million shares.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ARKK":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":755,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9073760430,"gmtCreate":1657418640620,"gmtModify":1676536004907,"author":{"id":"4088988742426300","authorId":"4088988742426300","name":"newbie83","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4088988742426300","authorIdStr":"4088988742426300"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9073760430","repostId":"1121190134","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1121190134","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1657267168,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1121190134?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-08 15:59","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Reminder: SGX Market Will be Closed on July 11 for Hari Raya Haji","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1121190134","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Hari Raya Haji is around the corner. The three stocks I thought were going to move lower for the week -- Hooker Furnishings, Stitch Fix, and ChargePoint -- finished up 1%, down 28%, and down 1%, respectively, averaging out to a 9.3% decline. The S&P 500 experienced a 5.1% slide, and the investments I figured would fare worse did lose to the market. I was right. I have been correct in 24 of the past 34 weeks.Where do I go to next? I see Oracle, Beyond Air, and Blink Charging as stocks you may want to consider steering clear of this week. Let's go over my near-term concerns with all three investments.OracleTime hasn't been kind to one of the titans of enterprise software. The heady growth and Larry Ellison's cockiness appear to be in short supply over the past decade, and we won't have to wait long to get fresh financials. Oracle reports its fiscal fourth-quarter results shortly after Monday's market close.Growth has slowed at Oracle. Analysts see revenue climbing 4% for the quarter and the entire fiscal year. That's not a fluke. It should be the 11th consecutive fiscal year in which revenue fails to grow by at least 5%. And that's not the only thing that seems to be unimpressive at Oracle. The same company that routinely managed expectations to deliver market-thumping bottom-line results proved mortal last time. It missed Wall Street's profit target, and analysts are bracing for a year-over-year decline in this week's report.Beyond AirA much smaller but still potentially problematic company reporting earnings this week is Beyond Air. The clinical-stage medical-device company is pinning its hopes on a successful rollout of LungFit, a treatment device for persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (or PPHN, for short). It ran into some regulatory delays last year, missing its goal of a commercial launch in 2021.Clinical studies have been largely positive, but Beyond Air is running into a few obstacles. It created a chief medical officer position six months ago, and it's already on its second executive in that role. It has also posted larger-than-expected losses in its last three quarters, a bad omen heading into Thursday's financial update. Beyond Air still has a cash-rich balance sheet, but like most early stage biopharmaceutical companies, it's burning through a lot of dough. It may have to raise money at the worst possible time with the market under pressure.Blink ChargingThere's no denying that electric vehicles are the future, but investors hungry for pick-and-shovel plays may be short-circuiting their prospects by betting on the third-party companies specializing in charging stations. This remains a cutthroat niche, and it's too soon to predict winners.Blink Charging shares have fallen 75% since peaking early last year, but the stock is still trading at a stiff 24 times trailing revenue. Analysts don't see Blink Charging turning a profit until 2026, and by then we'll probably be looking at a much different landscape when it comes to the leaders of fast-charging stations. A lot can and will happen in the next four years. Did you think the largest maker of electric cars would be announcing layoffs of its salaried staff this year? Blue skies are looking a little gray, and just because you see lightning doesn't mean third-party charging kiosks will ever be profitable. It's going to be a bumpy road for some of these investments. If you're looking for safe stocks, you aren't likely to find them in Oracle, Beyond Air, or Blink Charging this week.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"BLNK":0.64,"XAIR":0.9,"ORCL":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":680,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9055467609,"gmtCreate":1655303698001,"gmtModify":1676535608517,"author":{"id":"4088988742426300","authorId":"4088988742426300","name":"newbie83","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4088988742426300","authorIdStr":"4088988742426300"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9055467609","repostId":"1134483863","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1134483863","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1655305199,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1134483863?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-15 22:59","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Alibaba: King Of Commerce-Driven Operating Income","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1134483863","media":"Seeking Alpha","summary":"SummaryMachine learning helps make the recommendation engines in Tmall and Taobao top notch.Alibaba ","content":"

Summary

Machine learning helps make the recommendation engines in Tmall and Taobao top notch.

Alibaba has tremendous opportunities as the online and offline worlds merge.

Alibaba’s asset-light model gives them flexibility as the world changes.

Introduction

My thesis is that Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) will deliver massive amounts of operating income from commerce in the decade ahead. I don't see anyone that looks to be close to them in the next few years with respect to operating income from e-commerce.

The fiscal years for Alibaba and Walmart (WMT) end in March and January, respectively. The graphs in this article use calendar years so Alibaba's fiscal year through March 2022 and Walmart's fiscal year through January 2022 go under 2021.

When the Alibaba 4Q22releasecame out for their FY22 ending in March, the exchange rate was about 0.1577 RMB to 1 USD. At the time of this writing it is closer to 0.15 RMB to 1 USD.

The Landscape

Alibaba has a substantial base on which they will power operating income in the decade ahead. Looking at the last fiscal year, operating income from Alibaba's China commerce segment was RMB 172,219 million which is around $26 billion. This is about the same as Walmart's company-wide operating income but nearly all of Walmart's operating income comes from brick and mortar stores as opposed to e-commerce. There is plenty of room for numerous e-commerce companies in China. JD (JD) has done well with wealthy customers who insist on high quality merchandise. Pinduoduo (PDD) is fun for buyers who want to do social and group shopping. Amazon (AMZN), JD and Pinduoduo get a lot of headlines based on gross merchandise volume ("GMV") but their e-commerce operating income levels are small compared to Alibaba. Only $6,347 million of Amazon's 2021 operating income was outside of AWS. The 2021 operating income numbers for JD and PDD were RMB 4,141 million and RMB 6,897 million, respectively. These equate to just $621 million and $1,035 million, respectively.

Machine Learning

Tmall and Taobao have a large number of users and a prodigious amount of data on which machine learning feeds. An April MIT Technology Review post explains the virtuous cycle enjoyed by digital giants like Alibaba as they continually improve their recommendation engines:

The architectural and technical genius of recommender-system design lies in its compelling blend of data gathering, ongoing algorithmic innovation, and network effects. The more people use these systems, the more valuable they become; the more valuable they become, the more people use them. Machine-learning capabilities accelerate that virtuous cycleto ensure recommendations and advice become ever-more relevant and compelling.

Opportunities

Alibaba has numerous opportunities including their participation in China's economic expansion. The World Bank shows that China's GDP nearly doubled from 2011 to 2020, going from $7.6 trillion to $14.7 trillion. Alibaba's operating income should keep climbing as China's GDP and middle class continue to increase in size.

Alibaba has opportunities beyond e-commerce as we know it. A June 2021 Wiredarticletalks about the way Alibaba has invented the supermarket of the future:

Towson says. I view this type of forced investment in the same light as higher corporate taxes such that the government is coming in as a silent partner; the valuation range has to be adjusted down. I believe it will be more than just taking away RMB 20 billion in earnings from shareholders for each of the next 5 years. There is a good chance it will go up from there. As such, I don't think it is unreasonable to assign a multiple of 25x or so on the annual amount of RMB 20 billion that would otherwise go to shareholders each year such that the valuation is now lower by RMB 500 billion or $75 billion.

Among other things, I look at operating income, operating cash flow ("OCF") and free cash flow ("FCF") for Alibaba and competitors when thinking about valuations. It would be facile to go straight down to these numbers without first having an understanding of gross merchandise volume ("GMV") and revenue. There is competition between these companies but the e-commerce pie will grow in the decade ahead such that this is not a zero sum game.

Smaller companies like Pinduoduo and JD are increasing GMV more rapidly than Alibaba but all the e-commerce companies below are increasing volume faster than brick and mortar retailers like Walmart:

GMV (Author's spreadsheet)

*The Amazon estimates are from Marketplace Pulse.

*The Alibaba fiscal year begins April 1st.

*The Walmart fiscal year begins February 1st.

The tables are turned for Alibaba and Amazon when we switch from GMV to company-wide revenue. Despite the fact that Alibaba moves about twice the merchandise volume of Amazon, Alibaba has a much lower take rate such that their revenue is significantly lower. We're talking about company-wide revenue so it includes non-commerce figures. It is noteworthy that Amazon has a sizable first-party ("1P") e-commerce business while Alibaba does not. Marketplace Pulseshowsthat Amazon's 2021 GMV segments are broken down as $210 billion 1P and $390 billion third-party ("3P"); Amazon's revenue for these GMV segments is $222 billion and $103 billion, respectively:

Revenue segments (Author's spreadsheet)

Now that we appreciate the disparate types of revenue at Amazon, we look at company-wide revenue for the group. On the whole, I dislike Alibaba's adjusted EBITA tables because they ignore share-based compensation. However, the amortization of intangible assets and impairment of goodwill lines from those tables are useful because in my view these GAAP expenses aren't really economic expenses. The amortization of intangible assets line from the EBITA table comes to RMB 11,647 million on a consolidated basis and RMB 6,154 million of this is from the Local consumer services segment. The unallocated line includes goodwill impairment of RMB 25,141 million relating to Digital media and entertainment. If the rest of the unallocated operating loss of RMB 10,770 million and the innovation operating loss of RMB 9,424 million are absorbed by the China commerce segment then its operating income falls to RMB 152,025 million or a little under $23 billion. I think this segment is worth 15 to 16x this amount or around $345 to $370 billion. The other segments currently have negative operating income but they are worth more than zero. Alibaba's strategic investments are worth billions and their interest in the Ant Group is considerable.

The Cloud segment had less revenue in the March 2022 quarter than the December 2021 quarter but we can assuage ourselves knowing that the Cloud segment reduced its operating losses from FY21 to FY22 and it had positive operating income of RMB 598 million for the latest quarter. Much of this is because Amazon's low-margin 1P business is responsible for substantial revenue but it doesn't contribute much to operating income or OCF. I don't see anyone that looks to be close to them in the next few years with respect to operating income from e-commerce.The fiscal years for Alibaba and Walmart (WMT) end in March and January, respectively. The graphs in this article use calendar years so Alibaba's fiscal year through March 2022 and Walmart's fiscal year through January 2022 go under 2021.When the Alibaba 4Q22releasecame out for their FY22 ending in March, the exchange rate was about 0.1577 RMB to 1 USD. At the time of this writing it is closer to 0.15 RMB to 1 USD.The LandscapeAlibaba has a substantial base on which they will power operating income in the decade ahead. Looking at the last fiscal year, operating income from Alibaba's China commerce segment was RMB 172,219 million which is around $26 billion. This is about the same as Walmart's company-wide operating income but nearly all of Walmart's operating income comes from brick and mortar stores as opposed to e-commerce. There is plenty of room for numerous e-commerce companies in China. JD (JD) has done well with wealthy customers who insist on high quality merchandise. Pinduoduo (PDD) is fun for buyers who want to do social and group shopping. Amazon (AMZN), JD and Pinduoduo get a lot of headlines based on gross merchandise volume (\"GMV\") but their e-commerce operating income levels are small compared to Alibaba. Only $6,347 million of Amazon's 2021 operating income was outside of AWS. The 2021 operating income numbers for JD and PDD were RMB 4,141 million and RMB 6,897 million, respectively. These equate to just $621 million and $1,035 million, respectively.Machine LearningTmall and Taobao have a large number of users and a prodigious amount of data on which machine learning feeds. An April MIT Technology Review post explains the virtuous cycle enjoyed by digital giants like Alibaba as they continually improve their recommendation engines:The architectural and technical genius of recommender-system design lies in its compelling blend of data gathering, ongoing algorithmic innovation, and network effects.The more people use these systems, the more valuable they become; the more valuable they become, the more people use them. Machine-learning capabilities accelerate that virtuous cycleto ensure recommendations and advice become ever-more relevant and compelling.OpportunitiesAlibaba has numerous opportunities including their participation in China's economic expansion. The World Bank shows that China's GDP nearly doubled from 2011 to 2020, going from $7.6 trillion to $14.7 trillion. Alibaba's operating income should keep climbing as China's GDP and middle class continue to increase in size.Alibaba has opportunities beyond e-commerce as we know it. A June 2021 Wiredarticletalks about the way Alibaba has invented the supermarket of the future:Towson says. \"Eventually, consumers won't even know the difference between online and offline. However, investor sentiment plays a key role in driving growth stocks higher or lower. When the economic outlook is positive and the financial system has ample liquidity, growth stocks tend to command a valuation premium.On the other hand, when the economic outlook weakens and contractionary monetary policies are pursued, growth stocks trade at valuation gaps. In simple words, corrections are overdone.It’s no rocket science to understand the fact that the time to invest in stocks is when sentiments are pessimistic. However, the fear and greed psychology are such that investors buy on euphoria and sell on panic. Be it trading or investing, it’s a mind game.With several growth stocks plunging in the last few months, there seems to be another golden buying opportunity. Of course, not all growth stocks will recover. There are stories that culminate with the bear markets. However, others will recover and deliver multi-fold returns in the long-term.These seven growth stocks look attractive for long-term exposure.TickerCompanyCurrent PriceXPEVXPeng Inc.$30.28PINSPinterest, Inc.$18.71CHPTChargePoint Holdings, Inc.$12.69CPNGCoupang, Inc.$15.04SESea Limited$69.06COINCoinbase Global, Inc.$49.04RBLXRoblox Corporation$35.07Growth Stocks: Xpeng (XPEV)In the last month,XPeng(NYSE:XPEV) stock has surged by 26%. The rally from deeply oversold levels is on the back of policy support for electric vehicles in China.However, even after the big upside, XPEV stock is down by 30% on a 12-month basis. With sustained positive developments even from a company specific perspective, the stock is still undervalued.For the first quarter, XPeng reported159% growth in vehicle deliveriesto 34,561. The company’s gross margin also increased by 100 basis points on a year-on-year basis to 12.2%.It’s worth noting that XPeng launched P5 sedan in October 2021. Further, the launch of G9 is due in the last quarter of 2022. New models will continue to boost deliveries growth once temporary industry headwinds are navigated.XPeng also has ambitious international expansion plans. With increasing presence in Europe, the company’s growth will be supported in the next few years. As deliveries growth remains strong, operating leverage will also translate into vehicle margin expansion.Pinterest (PINS)Pinterest(NYSE:PINS) stock is down nearly 4% in the last month and by 50% so far in 2022. However, at a forward price-earnings ratio of 22.8, the stock still seems undervalued.I have two major reasons to like Pinterest.First, the company reported more than 50% of active users from outside the U.S. and Europe. However, the average revenue per user from therest of the world was just eight cents. In comparison, the ARPU from U.S. and Canada is $4.98. Even from Europe, the ARPU is 72 cents. There is immense scope for ARPU upside from emerging markets. This is a catalyst for revenue and cash flow upside.Furthermore, the focus of Pinterest is to make the platform shopping friendly. I see the company as a proxy global e-commerce platform. Recently, Pinterestcompleted the acquisitionof the The Yes, an AI-powered shopping platform. With further inroads as a proxy e-commerce platform, the company is positioned to benefit.ChargePoint Holdings (CHPT)The electric vehicle industry has multi-year tailwinds. Europe is focused on reducing dependence on Russia for energy needs. Adoption of electric vehicles is one way to achieve this objective. In the United States, the Biden administration plans to spend $5 billion towards EV charging stations.With these tailwinds,ChargePoint(NYSE:CHPT) is among the top growth stocks to consider. The company already has leadership position in North America and has expanded to 16 countries in Europe.Currently, a majority of revenue comes from North America. However, as European expansion gains traction, top-line growth is likely to accelerate. ChargePoint also derives revenue fromhardware and software solutions.As the charging network expands, software revenue (recurring revenue) will increase. This will have a positive impact on the company’s EBITDA margin. For now, the cash burn is likely to sustain with aggressive investments. However, that’s unlikely to be a major concern for a growth stage company.Growth Stocks: Coupang (CPNG)The markets have punishedCoupang(NYSE:CPNG) stock on growth and profitability concerns. However, after a decline of 49% in 2022, CPNG stock seems undervalued.On a constant currency basis, Coupang reported revenue growth of 32% for the first quarter from a year ago. The company’s adjusted EBITDA losses also narrowed during the quarter.It seems likely that a growth rate of around 30% is sustainable in the coming years. International expansion is one reason for this view. At the same time, Korea has 37 million online shoppers. Currently, Coupang has 18 million active customers. There is ample scope for growth within Korea.In terms of profitability, Coupang expects to deliver long-term adjusted EBITDA in therange of 7% to 10%. The company has also guided for positive adjusted EBITDA from the product commerce segment by the end of the year. If this target is achieved, CPNG stock is likely to trend higher.Sea Limited (SE)Another e-commerce stock that’s trading at attractive levels isSea Limited(NYSE:SE). A correction of 68% so far this year has been on the back of cash burn and relative deceleration in growth.However, the long-term outlook remains robust with Sea Limited focused on high-growth markets. The company already has strong presence in Southeast Asia. With inroads into Latin America, the company’s growth momentum will remain strong.I am also bullish on the company’s financial services segment. For the first quarter, active users increased by 78% on a year-on-year basis to 49 million. The total payment volume for mobile wallet has also witnessed sustained growth.Cash burn is a concern. However, Sea Limited expects Shopee toachieve positive adjusted EBITDAin Southeast Asia and Taiwan by the end of 2023. As robust top-line growth sustains, operating leverage will drive profitability.In the near term, Sea Limited has $8.8 billion in cash and short-term investments. This will help the company make aggressive investments and sustain through the period of cash burn.Coinbase (COIN)Coinbase(NASDAQ:COIN) stock was off to a flying start in 2021 when sentiments related to cryptocurrencies was positive. The euphoria has transformed into extreme distress and COIN stock has plunged by 80% so far in 2022.For investors willing to consider a high-risk bet, the stock is attractive around $50 levels. While the crypto crash is a big negative for growth and margins, Coinbase still seems attractive for the long term.There has been a steady growth in Coinbase Wallet adoption. Further, the company has also launched the beta version of Coinbase NFT.Another point to note is that the trading volume related toBitcoin(BTC-USD) andEthereum(ETH-USD) was45% of total trading volume. As more assets are listed for trading on the platform, volumes growth is likely to be robust once the market sentiments reverse.Coinbase ended Q1 2022 with $6.1 billion in cash and equivalents. There is ample financial flexibility to pursue product development.Growth Stocks: Roblox (RBLX)I believe thatRoblox(NYSE:RBLX) is also a victim of negative market sentiments. Of course, growth has decelerated, but the selling might be overdone considering the long-term growth outlook.The first point to note is that the metaverse market is expected to grow at acompound annual growth rate of 50.74% between 2022 and 2030. Roblox will be a key beneficiary of the positive industry tailwinds.For the first quarter, Roblox reported revenue growth of 39% to $537.1 million. The company’s daily active users also increased by 28% on a year-on-year basis to 54.1 million. I also like the fact that Roblox reported free cash flow of $104.6 million for the quarter.Even with revenue growth in the range of 30% to 40%, the company seems to be positioned for cash flow upside. For Q1 2022, the company reported94% growth in active users from Asia Pacific. User growth from rest of the world (excluding U.S. and Europe) was 34%. Emerging markets are likely to drive long-term growth.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CHPT":0.9,"SE":0.9,"RBLX":0.9,"PINS":0.9,"COIN":0.9,"XPEV":0.9,"CPNG":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":497,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9040125501,"gmtCreate":1655623076604,"gmtModify":1676535674129,"author":{"id":"4088988742426300","authorId":"4088988742426300","name":"newbie83","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4088988742426300","authorIdStr":"4088988742426300"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9040125501","repostId":"1145347873","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1145347873","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1655263188,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1145347873?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-15 11:19","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Reminder: U.S. Market Will Be Closed on June 20 for Juneteenth","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1145347873","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Juneteenth National Independence Day is around the corner. The CEO, co-founder, and ace stock picker for the Ark Invest family of exchange-traded funds (Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETFs) stood pat on her buying urges. She lightened a few positions last week, but she failed to execute a buy order in any of the final three trading days of last week.The streak ended on Monday. Shopify, Twilio, and Adaptive Biotechnologies are the three stocks that Ark Invest bought. What does Wood see in these three fast-growing companies? Let's take a closer look.ShopifyIt's been a rough few months for Shopify investors. The fast-growing e-commerce specialist has seen its stock plunge more than 60% since peaking in November. Shopify stock came back to life with last week's market rally in growth stocks, but a 12% slide on Monday to kick off this new trading week shows that shareholders are still looking to take profits following sharp upticks.Revenue growth is slowing at Shopify. Its top line surged 86% in 2020, slowing to a 57% pace in 2021. Growth has decelerated sharply the last three quarters. Shopify itself was vague about its guidance, but analysts are holding out for a 31% increase in 2022. Shopify continues to stand out for its ability to arm merchants of all sizes with the tools to establish an online presence that plays nice with most popular e-commerce and social media platforms.TwilioThere is a lot to like about Twilio, the undisputed leader of in-app communication solutions. Twilio's cloud-based tools help many of the most popular apps be more effective by providing two-way communication with users -- for everything from service notifications to verification -- without having to leave an app.It's growing briskly. Revenue rose 61% in 2021, including a 54% year-over-year uptick for its latest quarter. Acquisitions have helped pad Twilio's growth over the years. Organic revenue rose a more modest 44% clip last year if you back out the bump in political election season revenue from late 2020, but the appeal of the platform remains strong. Retention rates are still healthy, and Twilio continues to successfully expand its offerings.Adaptive BiotechnologiesIt's been a rough year for Adaptive Biotechnologies. Its CFO resigned in January, and earlier this month the biotech upstart announced that it would be laying off 12% of its staff. The reorganization is part of Adaptive narrowing the focus of its immune system genetic sequencing technology to key in on minimal residual disease and immune medicine.The stock has been cut by more than half so far in 2022, and it's down 82% since peaking 14 months ago. The technology is promising, and Adaptive Biotechnologies is one of the stocks that Wood was buying earlier last week before she took a three-day break from purchases. Analysts don't see the company turning a profit for several more years, but that's not necessarily a deal breaker for biotech stocks as long as they have the liquidity in place to hold out for a medical breakthrough.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TWLO":0.9,"SHOP":0.9,"ADPT":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":759,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
