$RCL 20250822 290.0 PUT$ RCL: collected full premium on this short put when it expired worthless on 22nd Aug. Had wanted RCL to drop more and use these short put to cover my stock short positions.  But RCL moved up strongly for the week by a large 9.78% to close at $344.67. 2 of my commited short put were closed out this week and that freed up 200 shares uncommitted.  RCL is my largest portfolio drag this week and I look to cut loss if RCL hit $350 which seems likely on Monday.

$NVO 20250822 45.0 PUT$ NVO: collected full premium on this short put when it expired worthless on 22nd Aug. NVO is up 8.72% this week and these short puts were save and collecting premiums as intended.  Still a long way to close the gap at $69 but NVO is making good upward progress for the 3rd consecutive week. Probably the temporary bottom is set for this round so my trades were setup on bullish bias.

Cautious Recovery And Rational Consumption Might Boost PDD Earnings More Than BABA

If you have been following the news on Chinese consumers, we have not been seeing a very strong recovery to the previous spending level. So whether the consumer spending might boost $Alibaba(BABA)$ or $PDD Holdings Inc(PDD)$ earnings, we might want to look at the sentiment and trends. In this article, I would be sharing what I have found on the consumer spending sentiment, key trends, and how consumer sentiment could affect both these two stocks, Alibaba and Pinduoduo. The State of Chinese Consumer Spending Sentiment Chinese consumer spending sentiment in 2025 has been characterized by a "cautious recovery." While there are signs of stabilization and a return to growth, a key theme is that consumers are be

Touch your CPF/SRS for SGX shares plays—yes or no?

Whenever the topic of investing comes up, one recurring question is: Should I use CPF or SRS funds for SGX stocks? For me, the answer has mostly been no when it comes to CPF. CPF vs. SRS: Two Different Stories My SRS account is easy—there’s literally $1 sitting there, so it’s not even a consideration right now. CPF, though, is trickier because technically I can use it for investments. But I choose not to. The reason is simple: CPF is my safe corner.
