【Livestream Clip 3|Kenny Loh & Edward Pye: Singapore GDP at 6%? Most Investors Missed This】

【LIVESTREAM RECAP|Celebrating Singapore's Independence: Navigating the 5,000 STI Milestone】 Hi Tigers! In this session we celebrated a real milestone — Singapore's Straits Times Index crossing 5,000. We traced STI's near-60-year path and its recent breakout, unpacked the capital flows sparked by MAS's market-revitalization program, dug into the explosive growth in ETF assets, walked through institutional forecasts for 6,000 and beyond, and closed on the next chapter of the "Singapore Story" — from safe haven to a magnet for global capital. Clear, layered, and full of substance. 🇸🇬Full replay 👉 Celebrating Singapore's Independence: Navigating the 5,0
【Livestream Clip 3|Kenny Loh & Edward Pye: Singapore GDP at 6%? Most Investors Missed This】
TOPJerry Lam: My biggest takeaway is that Singapore's attractiveness is not just GDP growth in a given quarter, but the capital magnet effect formed by institutional credibility and industrial diversification. Finance, trade, tourism and manufacturing provide a stable chassis, while healthcare, utilities, technology, data infrastructure and logistics may breed the next batch of blue chips. Instead of just chasing the index, I pay more attention to companies in these industries with stable cash flow, improved return on capital and regional expansion capabilities. My thinking is to look at the Singaporean market as a long-term defensive allocation while looking for structural growth opportunities, rather than just looking at it as a high Dividend market.

【Livestream Clip 4|Kenny Loh & Edward Pye: Smart Investors Don’t Just Pick Stocks】
TOPJerry Lam: My biggest takeaway is that the growth of SGX ETFs is not only from institutions. Retail funds have contributed about 42%, indicating that SRS and CPF are becoming important portals for long-term index investments. Compared with idle funds, low-cost ETFs can provide better dispersion and long-term compound interest potential, but the key is still to look at expense ratio, liquidity, Dividend quality and underlying assets, rather than just looking at short-term returns. I am more optimistic about the long-term allocation idea of this "retirement account + ETF": core funds pursue stable compound interest, and individual stocks are only used as satellite positions to reduce frequent timing.

POLL >> 🪙 | AMD’s Biggest AI Test Yet: Can Massive Demand Turn Into Real Market Share?

$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ Has Already Won the Demand Battle. $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ has secured gigawatt-scale commitments from OpenAI, $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$, Anthropic, and $Oracle(ORCL)$. The stock has more than doubled over the past year as investors increasingly view AMD as the most credible alternative to $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ in AI accelerators. But the real challenge is no longer whether AMD has demand. The question is whether that demand can translate into meaningful market share. Vo
POLL >> 🪙 | AMD’s Biggest AI Test Yet: Can Massive Demand Turn Into Real Market Share?
TOPShyon: I voted B. I believe AMD will continue gaining AI market share over the next 18 months, but Nvidia is likely to remain the clear leader. Securing commitments from OpenAI, Meta, Anthropic and Oracle proves demand is real, but converting those commitments into large-scale production deployments is the next challenge. Te biggest indicator isn't the number of partnerships but whether AMD can consistently grow data center revenue, improve margins and successfully ramp Helios. I also want to see ROCm continue to mature because software adoption is just as important as hardware performance in enterprise AI. I'm still optimistic on AMD over the long term because AI market is expanding fast enough for more than one winner. My view is that AMD doesn't need to beat Nvidia—it only needs to keep taking incremental share in a rapidly growing market, and that alone could support meaningful earnings growth over the next few years. @TigerStars @Tiger_comments @TigerClub @WallStreet_Tiger

🚀 Super Micro’s $60B Order Boom… Will It Become Revenue, Cash Flow, or an Execution Headache?

$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$   Super Micro Computer caught the market’s attention after releasing a preliminary fiscal fourth-quarter update featuring two extraordinary figures. The company estimated that gross margin would reach 15%–17%, dramatically above its previous guidance of 8.2%–8.4%. It also revealed that it received more than US$60 billion in new orders during the quarter, pushing backlog to record levels. However, expected revenue remained near the lower end of its US$11 billion–US$12.5 billion guidance range. Management also attributed the margin improvement primarily to a favourable customer and product mix. The market understandably celebrated the update. But I believe the most important question is no longer whether d

AI generated numbers for Pltr

Illustrative forecast assuming Palantir sustains a Rule of 40 score of 155% for the next four quarters (Q3 2026 through Q2 2027). Key Q2 2026 baseline Revenue: $1.935 billion (+93% year-over-year).   Adjusted operating margin: 62%.   Rule of 40: 155% (93% growth + 62% margin).   Adjusted EPS: $0.41.   Diluted shares: roughly 2.57 billion.   Stock price (midday Aug 4, 2026, post-earnings surge): around $160.   Rule of 40 = year-over-year revenue growth rate + adjusted operating margin. Sustaining 155% is extremely aggressive and historically rare at this scale; it requires either continued ultra-high growth, further margin expansion, or a combination. Projection assumptions (simplified illustrative model) To keep Rule of 40 exactly

AMD and SpaceX Beat Expectations—So Why Did Both Stocks Sell Off?

AMD fell as much as 7% after hours, while SpaceX dropped about 6%. The earnings reports were not bad. The problem was that neither stock had been priced for a normal beat. AMD came into earnings with expectations set too high. SpaceX is simply spending money too fast. AMD: The Surprise Had Already Been Priced In AMD reported second-quarter revenue of $11.54 billion, up 50% year over year, with adjusted EPS of $1.66. The company also guided for roughly $13 billion in third-quarter revenue. Data center revenue reached $6.72 billion, up 107%, as both EPYC CPUs and Instinct accelerators continued to ramp. Put these numbers on almost any other semiconductor company, and investors would have very little to complain about. AMD still got hit after hours. The first reason was simple: the stock had
