I just closed my $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ position for a +22% gain in about a month.
And no, I haven’t turned bearish on Tesla.
I’m still very bullish on the long-term story.
But I closed the position for two reasons.
1️⃣ The structure is still bearish.
On both the daily and weekly timeframes, we’re still seeing lower highs.
Within my framework, I expect a potential rejection somewhere around $380–$420.
If that happens, I’d rather let the stock come back down into the institutional buy zone and look for another long entry.
In other words, I’m not trying to predict the top.
I’m trying to follow the structure.
2️⃣ The profit came quickly.
A 22% gain in roughly one month is a solid return.
When profit velocity is that strong, I’m comfortable taking some money off the table instead of trying to capture every last dollar.
There are plenty of other trades to focus on.
And if $TSLA suddenly pulls a 2020-style move and I miss a triple-digit gain?
That’s fine.
I’d rather miss part of a monster move than abandon the process that got me into the trade in the first place.
Longer term, my view hasn’t changed.
I still believe Tesla’s time is coming.
Over the next 12–24 months, I could easily see $TSLA back around $520–$600.
But bullish fundamentals don’t mean I have to hold every swing.
Take the profit. Respect the structure. Wait for the next setup. 🎯📈
