$Micron Technology(MU)$ If the CEO put out a press release on Dec 9 saying that on Dec 11, if the price is below $1100, Micron would use the $35B earmarked for buybacks to buy until it reaches $1100, what would happen? I think the price would go to $1100, and Micron wouldn't have to spend a dime. Then on Dec 16, the CEO could put out another press release saying Micron will buy any shares below $1200 on Dec 18. Maybe they'd have to buy 1 million shares to get there, no problem. Do the same thing again the next week for $1300. Let's say the price gets to $1300 without Micron having to do anything. Micron could sell the million shares little by little and book the $100M profit, and they're back to the $35B buyback cash pile. Keep repeating until the price gets to $3000. That's how you do it. As Cheetah keeps saying, right now the FPE is 6 and the stock price is not where everyone thinks it should be. Doing the $35B buyback and reducing the FPE to 5 isn't going to do anything either. I totally agree with that premise. Best case scenario it bumps the price up $35. My idea bumps the price up $100 in the first week and doesn't cost anything.
