The October Curse Strikes US Stocks as Equities and Gold Show Signs of a Breakdown

I have repeatedly highlighted October as a key turning-point window for US equity indices. Whatever the news backdrop, a break below the key trend line should prompt us to consider reducing risk. US indices have yet to see a sharp acceleration in selling, but other markets, including mainland China's A-share market, have already fallen. It is hard to tell whether this reflects a synchronized move across markets or local developments. With most of the news unfavorable, however, temporarily reducing risk is a prudent choice. $China A50 Index - main 2610(CNmain)$ $Hang Seng Index - main 2610(HSImain)$ $Hang Seng Index - Oct 2026(HSI2610)$

I like VT because it gives me exposure to the global stock market through a single ETF. 🌍 Rather than focusing only on the US, VT includes companies across developed and emerging markets. This means I don’t have to guess which country or region will perform best over the long term. What attracts me most is the simplicity of owning a broad range of companies in one investment. Markets go through different cycles, and today’s winners may not be tomorrow’s leaders. VT allows me to participate in global markets without having to pick individual stocks. My approach is to focus on the long term rather than react to every market swing. There will be periods when the market falls, but I prefer to look beyond short-term volatility and keep the bigger picture in mind. For discussion purposes only.

For your children's long-term compounding, anchoring your DCA strategy on proven index heavyweights like SPY and QQQ cuts through daily market noise and builds a resilient foundation that offsets higher-conviction bets, while allocating a small, measured slice to a visionary disruptor like SpaceX ($SPCX) lets you capture aggressive multi-year upside and futuristic imagination without letting steep valuations derail your core risk management.

GOOG, NVDA and Case for S&P 500 ETF !

The AI-scare that happened last week is still continuing its rampage this week. With US market near record highs, combined with a sharp tech sell-off and persistent questions about an AI bubble has made many investors cautious, especially against a geopolitically unstable backdrop. New Age Alpha, Chief investment officer, Julian Koski, has a differing view: His firm’s model sees an unusually low 28% median probability that S&P 500 companies will fail to deliver the growth embedded in their stock prices. He says that result supports staying invested, even though it does not eliminate the risk of short-term declines. Koski, who co-founded New Age Alpha, sat down with TheStreet’s Caroline Woods to explain the reasoning behind his optimism. What is Koski saying ? Koski’s argument is less a

The ETF I Would DCA for Years: QQQ, With One Important Rule

If I had to choose one ETF to DCA consistently, my answer would be QQQ. Not because it is the safest ETF. Not because it will outperform every year. And definitely not because I expect technology stocks to go up in a straight line. I choose it because I want my long-term money exposed to companies benefiting from some of the biggest structural trends of the next decade: AI, cloud computing, semiconductors, automation, digital advertising and software. And DCA solves one of my biggest problems as an investor: I do not need to predict every bottom correctly. 🔵 WHY QQQ OVER VOO OR SPY? VOO and SPY are excellent core ETFs. If someone prioritises diversification and smoother compounding, I would happily recommend starting there. But personally, I want more growth exposure. QQQ gives me heavier

VOO - Buffett's Risky winning ETF bet ? Buy ?

Warren Buffett has spent decades building one of the most complex investment portfolios in the world. $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$ owns railroads, insurance companies, fast-food chains and consumer brands. Its operating earnings topped $44.5 billion in fiscal year 2025. His advice to ordinary investors looks nothing like that portfolio. Buffett has repeated the same recommendation for years, and it does not involve picking stocks, timing markets or hiring expensive money managers. In his 2013 letter to Berkshire shareholders, Buffett wrote that his estate’s trustee should put 90% of cash in a very low-cost S&P 500index fund, naming Vanguard specifically. The fund in this instruction is the $Vanguard S&
