Global tech stocks plummeted in turn, while Crocs bucked the trend and surged. Is a turning point coming for consumer stocks?

Technology stocks faced pressure one after another, but Crocs surged by about 25% at one point based on better-than-expected earnings and an upward revision of its full-year guidance. Can overseas growth and the recovery of HEYDUDE bring new opportunities to consumer stocks? Are you more optimistic about the recovery in consumer stock earnings or the opportunities after the correction in technology stocks?

Coinbase’s biggest opportunity may no longer be simply riding Bitcoin’s next rally. Despite weaker industry trading activity, Q3 Adjusted EBITDA rose 60% QoQ to $333 million, while Subscription and Services contributed 49% of net revenue. Its crypto trading market share also climbed to 10.7%, marking four consecutive quarters of gains. More importantly, prediction markets have surpassed $200 million in annualized revenue. Stablecoins and derivatives could make Coinbase less dependent on retail trading cycles. However, investors should not confuse accounting profits with sustainable growth. Q3's $719 million net income included substantial crypto investment gains. My view: COIN deserves a bullish long-term outlook, but I would avoid chasing before recurring earnings confirm the recovery. T
For Coin, I think more correction is expected after the sudden shock from Binance. This is no longer safe even though they promise to make full payment to customers.

I would lean towards waiting for clearer evidence of a recovery rather than buying COIN purely in anticipation of higher trading volumes. However, Coinbase’s latest results make the investment case more interesting than a simple bet on crypto prices.

Part 3 of 3 - News and my muse (02Nov2026)

4 · News & My Investing Muse The news that moves prices ● The Fed pauses, December loads. Two officials wanted a hike now; every economist polled expects one on 9 December. Treat the pause as a comma, not a full stop. ● Midterms Tuesday. All 435 House seats, a third of the Senate. The market question is narrow: who writes tax and tariff law for two years. History says divided government suits stocks and the fuss fades within days. Both sides call it existential. Figure 12 — The midterm stakes as one side frames them (Elon Musk, X, 30 Oct 2026). ● Oil above US$100 is the common thread. Iran’s supply disruption sits behind the expected RBA and BoE hikes and behind the Fed’s two dissenters. Follow the chain to its human end — dearer oil means dearer diesel, fertiliser, freight and food. A

BK Trading — Weekly Market Preview Week of Monday 2 – Friday 6 November 2026 The week in short. Rates are still going up — the Fed held at 3.75–4.00% but December is near-certain; keep rate-sensitive bets small. America votes Tuesday — don’t trade the night; the calmer days after the count are the better moment. Palantir reports Monday evening — our teaching case in a stock priced for perfection. Confidence: high on the schedule (confirmed dates); medium on the Australia/UK rate rises (~90% priced, not promised); low on anything marked as an estimate — flagged at the end. 1 · Economic Calendar The Fed held and called it a decision, not a pause. 🪙 Bitcoin Rebounds, COIN Earnings Get Cut: Why Tiger Still Sees $250

Hey Tigers 🐯! Bitcoin has rebounded substantially since July. But crypto trading activity has yet to follow with the same strength. For $Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$, that creates an interesting earnings setup. US Tiger Research Team, maintains a BUY rating and $250 price target, even as the firm reduces its near-term earnings forecasts. The question for investors: Can Coinbase’s shares anticipate the next crypto recovery before trading volumes confirm it? Here is how Tiger’s thesis fits together—and where the numbers still look challenging. 1️⃣ The Setup: A Recovery in Prices, but Trading Remains Soft There are two different recovery signals here. Revenue is still expected to decline sequentially and remain substantially below the

Anthropic’s S-1: The "AI Cash-Burning" Myth is Dead

For the capital markets, Anthropic’s S-1 filing is both a shot in the arm and a reality check. It provides irrefutable data to answer the market’s biggest billion-dollar question: “With all this investment in AI, is anyone actually paying?” $Anthropic(ANT)$ The answer is a resounding yes—and demand is exploding exponentially. However, it also reveals a harsh truth: The commercial success of AI does not guarantee that every player in the value chain will capture a successful capital return. Here is a breakdown of the four critical dimensions that define this filing's true significance for the AI industry. I. The Revenue Side: Beyond the Hype—Real Cash Generation and the Token Explosion Over the past few years, market anxiety has centered on the fea

1 Trillion dollar wiped out from tech, Binance hacked, what’s next?

Disclaimer: Nothing I say or post should be considered financial advice. Please do your own due diligence before making any investment decisions. Long and behold, the AI bubble has finally showed signs of popping. $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ endured its worst day in history with 26% drop. $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ was not spared as well, dropping almost 15% post earnings. Even $Microsoft(MSFT)$ has not been spared, albeit a stellar earnings report, it struggled to hold its gains. I have been anticipating this true correction for months, and it has finally arrived.  With such lofty expectations on their shoulders for AI related companies, this i

Thanks to the brutal drop across semiconductors and the volatility that followed, my yearly return putting me at #4 on the yearly leaderboard! With just 2 more months left in the year, anything can happen: spot #3 is right there within striking distance at +79.84%, but in a market this wild, the elevator goes both up and down. Let's see where the year-end tape takes us! 😆

Last Night’s “Black Friday” on Wall Street: Tech Got Crushed, and the AI Trade Just Got a Reality Check What a session. Overnight (U.S. Friday close, Oct 30), the market delivered a proper Black Friday for anyone heavily long tech and AI names. This wasn’t a broad panic — it was a focused, brutal repricing of the AI spend story. The Numbers S&P 500: –1.8% to 7,580 (worst day since June) Nasdaq Composite: –2.9% to 25,437 Dow: –1.1% to 51,770 Russell 2000: –1.7% The damage was concentrated. NVIDIA ($NVDA) dropped around 4–5%, AMD ($AMD) got hit harder (roughly –11%), and the real bloodbath was Intel ($INTC) — down nearly 29%, its worst single day since 1974. Amazon ($AMZN) also felt the pain after its results. Why It Happened Two catalysts landed almost simultaneously: Intel’s guidance d

Chapter 1: Market Crash? Time for a Mental Reset Today the shorts smashed us hard. $Intel(INTC)$   $Alphabet(GOOG)$   Fine. We’re heading to the park for some team-building. Listen up, everyone. Today I’m giving you a proper psychological massage. This violent drop you’re seeing? Most of it is pure emotion. We’ve gotten used to a market that trades 365 days a year and goes crazy 360 of them.  So don’t panic.  When we invest in AI, the only questions that matter are: Has the industry changed? Have the companies fundamentally broken? Did we pick the wrong stocks?  I'm  going deep into the earnings so you can decide for yourself whether the industry or the companies ar

I see the recent tech selloff as an opportunity to start screening quality companies, but I do not think we can call it a confirmed bottom yet. I remain positive on the long-term AI story, especially companies with strong competitive advantages and sustainable earnings. My focus is on individual stocks rather than buying the entire $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ basket blindly. I want to see whether revenue growth can translate into stronger free cash flow, while keeping an eye on valuation, capital expenditure and debt. A lower share price does not automatically mean a stock is cheap. I prefer to accumulate gradually on meaningful pullbacks rather than rush in with a lump sum. I am watching $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ ,
