The panel is expected to make recommendations for whether more Americans should receive booster shots.
\n
“Real-world data from Israel and the United States suggest that rates of breakthrough infections are rising faster in individuals who were vaccinated earlier,” Pfizer said in its presentation, which was posted on the FDA website. The drug giant is partnering with Germany’s BioNTech SE to make the shots.
\n
The decrease in effectiveness is “primarily due to waning of vaccine immune responses over time,” rather than the delta variant, Pfizer researchers said in the presentation.
\n
Unpublished Data
\n
According to a meeting agenda the FDA posted on its website, in addition to the Pfizer presentation, the Friday panel will include presentations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, FDA staff and researchers from Israel and the U.K.
\n
The Israel officials will present data from that country on booster protection against infections and severe disease, according to the agenda, and a professor of medical statistics from the University of Bristol will present data on real-world vaccine effectiveness.
\n
While its vaccine continues to provide strong protection against hospitalizations and severe disease in the U.S., Pfizer said, data from Israel and elsewhere suggests that reduction in efficacy against infection may be followed by reduced effectiveness against severe disease, especially among vulnerable elderly people.
\n
Early unpublished data from an Israeli health maintenance organization suggest that a third booster dose is highly effective in areas where the delta variant is dominant, according to the Pfizer document. Giving a third dose to people more than 60 years old was associated with 86% effectiveness against testing positive for Covid starting at least a week after the booster, Pfizer said.
\n
Pfizer also detailed immune response results from a final-stage trial of booster shots in over 300 people, showing that a third dose bolstered blood antibody levels. One month after the third dose, levels of the protective antibodies were more than triple what they had been a month after the second shot.
\n
No new unexpected side effects were identified from safety data associated with boosters in the final-stage study, according to the Pfizer report. Consideration of a booster dose six months after a second dose of its shot is warranted, based on similarities between the outbreaks in Israel and the U.S., Pfizer said.
\n
Signs of Friction
\n
Marion Gruber, one of two top vaccine officials who FDA recently said will step down later this year, is also scheduled to speak. Gruber was co-author of an article in The Lancet earlier this week arguing that booster shots weren’t yet necessary for most people. The departures of the two longtime agency staff are a potential sign of friction over the Biden booster plan.
\n
The FDA hasn’t yet posted its staff report on the booster data. The agency’s documents are typically released 48 hours before the start of a panel meeting.
\n
The FDA is working as quickly as possible to post the items throughout the day as they are finalized and available, spokesperson Alison Hunt said.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
BioNTech SE stock jumped 4% in morning trading
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nBioNTech SE stock jumped 4% in morning trading\n
\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Tiger Newspress
\n
2021-09-15 22:08
\n
\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
BioNTech SE stock jumped 4% in morning trading as Pfizer said booster shots of vaccine restore waning Immunity.Pfizer shares rose 0.7%.
\n

\n
Pfizer Inc. said that data from the U.S. and Israel suggest that the efficacy of its Covid-19 vaccine wanes over time, and that a booster dose was safe and effective at warding off the virus and new variants.
\n
The company detailed the data in a presentation it will deliver to a meeting of outside advisers to the Food and Drug Administration on Friday. The panel is expected to make recommendations for whether more Americans should receive booster shots.\n“Real-world data from Israel and the United States suggest that rates of breakthrough infections are rising faster in individuals who were vaccinated earlier,” Pfizer said in its presentation, which was posted on the FDA website. The drug giant is partnering with Germany’s BioNTech SE to make the shots.\nThe decrease in effectiveness is “primarily due to waning of vaccine immune responses over time,” rather than the delta variant, Pfizer researchers said in the presentation.\nUnpublished Data\nAccording to a meeting agenda the FDA posted on its website, in addition to the Pfizer presentation, the Friday panel will include presentations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, FDA staff and researchers from Israel and the U.K.\nThe Israel officials will present data from that country on booster protection against infections and severe disease, according to the agenda, and a professor of medical statistics from the University of Bristol will present data on real-world vaccine effectiveness.\nWhile its vaccine continues to provide strong protection against hospitalizations and severe disease in the U.S., Pfizer said, data from Israel and elsewhere suggests that reduction in efficacy against infection may be followed by reduced effectiveness against severe disease, especially among vulnerable elderly people.\nEarly unpublished data from an Israeli health maintenance organization suggest that a third booster dose is highly effective in areas where the delta variant is dominant, according to the Pfizer document. Giving a third dose to people more than 60 years old was associated with 86% effectiveness against testing positive for Covid starting at least a week after the booster, Pfizer said.\nPfizer also detailed immune response results from a final-stage trial of booster shots in over 300 people, showing that a third dose bolstered blood antibody levels. One month after the third dose, levels of the protective antibodies were more than triple what they had been a month after the second shot.\nNo new unexpected side effects were identified from safety data associated with boosters in the final-stage study, according to the Pfizer report. Consideration of a booster dose six months after a second dose of its shot is warranted, based on similarities between the outbreaks in Israel and the U.S., Pfizer said.\nSigns of Friction\nMarion Gruber, one of two top vaccine officials who FDA recently said will step down later this year, is also scheduled to speak. Gruber was co-author of an article in The Lancet earlier this week arguing that booster shots weren’t yet necessary for most people. The departures of the two longtime agency staff are a potential sign of friction over the Biden booster plan.\nThe FDA hasn’t yet posted its staff report on the booster data. The agency’s documents are typically released 48 hours before the start of a panel meeting.\nThe FDA is working as quickly as possible to post the items throughout the day as they are finalized and available, spokesperson Alison Hunt said.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PFE":0.9,"BNTX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2402,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":882048260,"gmtCreate":1631634036950,"gmtModify":1676530596693,"author":{"id":"3563274139348735","authorId":"3563274139348735","name":"KentAN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3f5dbe90d304ffb84c6f2eee8c01081","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3563274139348735","idStr":"3563274139348735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Amazon.com(AMZN)$indeed","listText":"$Amazon.com(AMZN)$indeed","text":"$Amazon.com(AMZN)$indeed","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/882048260","repostId":"2167556007","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2749,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":883993350,"gmtCreate":1631194865170,"gmtModify":1676530493080,"author":{"id":"3563274139348735","authorId":"3563274139348735","name":"KentAN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3f5dbe90d304ffb84c6f2eee8c01081","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3563274139348735","idStr":"3563274139348735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Sea Ltd(SE)$time to buy more man!","listText":"$Sea Ltd(SE)$time to buy more man!","text":"$Sea Ltd(SE)$time to buy more man!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/883993350","repostId":"2166150063","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3206,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":889131415,"gmtCreate":1631113417637,"gmtModify":1676530472679,"author":{"id":"3563274139348735","authorId":"3563274139348735","name":"KentAN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3f5dbe90d304ffb84c6f2eee8c01081","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3563274139348735","idStr":"3563274139348735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$jus dip buy","listText":"$Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$jus dip buy","text":"$Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$jus dip buy","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/889131415","repostId":"1154837170","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1154837170","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1631090918,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1154837170?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-09-08 16:48","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Bitcoin Endured a Rocky Day. What to Expect From Jackson Hole","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1133915135","media":"Barrons","summary":"Mum may be the word on tapering when Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell speaks at a central-bank","content":"
Mum may be the word on tapering when Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell speaks at a central-bank symposium later this week.
\n
When he speaks at the Federal Reserve’s annual symposium Friday, Chairman Jerome Powell will try to balance conflicting forces that have grown more complicated since officials last met.
\n
The Fed’s Jackson Hole conference, which flipped to a virtual one late last week because of rising Covid-19 infections, brings together dozens of central bankers, policy makers and economists. Often a venue used by Fed chiefs to make major policy announcements, what isn’t said at this year’s conference may matter more than what is.
\n
Heading into the Jackson Hole summit, the stock market has been running higher, with the S&P 500up 1% and the more interest-rate-sensitive Nasdaq 100 higher by 2% this week. That’s as investors expect Powell to sound sufficiently dovish, and it’s after Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen last Friday voiced her support in Powell’s renomination as Fed chief by President Biden. That move, strategists say, makes it even less likely that Powell will be replaced when his four-year term expires in February.
\n
But Powell’s task is fraught. His speech, scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern time Friday, is hotly anticipated and comes as economic growth seems to have peaked; minutes of the last Fed meeting showed how far apart the committee is on the state of the economy; and the Delta variant threatens to dash September back-to-school and back-to-work plans.
\n
That lack of consensus makes it tough for Powell to demonstrate conviction when he speaks Friday, says James McCann, economist at Aberdeen Standard Investments. “If there’s no clear signal coming from the committee, then there’s no clear signal that Powell can give at this stage. And markets like clear signals much more than delicate nuance,” McCann says.
\n
From clear signals to nuance, here is a rundown of what to watch for when Powell speaks Friday.
\n
Taper Talk
\n
Market strategists and economists across Wall Street expect some discussion around an eventual reduction in the emergency bond-buying program the Fed launched in response to the pandemic. Recently, however, expectations have shifted. Hardly anyone expects Powell to outline a fall start to tapering the $120 billion in monthly Treasury and mortgage-backed securities purchases, and some who have been expecting a November announcement think 2022 is becoming more likely.
\n
Peter Duffy, chief investment officer at Penn Capital, is looking for a loose, noncommittal plan, and he thinks Powell may suggest a slower wind-down than investors expect—meaning reductions might not be on monthly autopilot as in the last bond-buying wind-down.
\n
There are two main reasons some observers don’t expect to hear firm taper plans this week. First, there is the Delta-variant wildcard. Second, Powell will be reluctant to front-run the policy-making committee, which next meets Sept. 21-22.
\n
Joe Brusuelas, chief economist at RSM, points to one specific line in the July meeting minutes which he says is a tip that Fed watchers shouldn’t expect much in the way of tapering plans. Inflation is here to stay and it’s time to pull back.” Still, Orlando wants assurance from Powell that tapering will be slow.
\n
Before Powell speaks Friday morning, the Fed’s favored inflation gauge will be reported for July. Economists polled by FactSet expect that the personal consumption expenditures index to have risen a tenth to 4.1% from a year earlier, with the measure excluding food and energy holding at 3.5%. The Fed’s longstanding inflation goal is 2%.
\n
How Powell frames uncertainty over the Delta variant’s economic impact is a difficult dance. (The S&P 500 was at 4498 at the time of writing.)
\n
Ahead of Friday’s speech, Orlando says he’s sticking with cyclical stocks over growth stocks, favoring financials, industrials, energy and materials.
\n
Brusuelas, meanwhile, says there is virtually no chance of a hawkish surprise and predicts a positive reaction to any perceived dovishness. Often a venue used by Fed chiefs to make major policy announcements, what isn’t said at this year’s conference may matter more than what is.\nHeading into the Jackson Hole summit, the stock market has been running higher, with the S&P 500up 1% and the more interest-rate-sensitive Nasdaq 100 higher by 2% this week. That’s as investors expect Powell to sound sufficiently dovish, and it’s after Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen last Friday voiced her support in Powell’s renomination as Fed chief by President Biden. That move, strategists say, makes it even less likely that Powell will be replaced when his four-year term expires in February.\nBut Powell’s task is fraught. His speech, scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern time Friday, is hotly anticipated and comes as economic growth seems to have peaked; minutes of the last Fed meeting showed how far apart the committee is on the state of the economy; and the Delta variant threatens to dash September back-to-school and back-to-work plans.\nThat lack of consensus makes it tough for Powell to demonstrate conviction when he speaks Friday, says James McCann, economist at Aberdeen Standard Investments. “If there’s no clear signal coming from the committee, then there’s no clear signal that Powell can give at this stage. And markets like clear signals much more than delicate nuance,” McCann says.\nFrom clear signals to nuance, here is a rundown of what to watch for when Powell speaks Friday.\nTaper Talk\nMarket strategists and economists across Wall Street expect some discussion around an eventual reduction in the emergency bond-buying program the Fed launched in response to the pandemic. Recently, however, expectations have shifted. Hardly anyone expects Powell to outline a fall start to tapering the $120 billion in monthly Treasury and mortgage-backed securities purchases, and some who have been expecting a November announcement think 2022 is becoming more likely.\nPeter Duffy, chief investment officer at Penn Capital, is looking for a loose, noncommittal plan, and he thinks Powell may suggest a slower wind-down than investors expect—meaning reductions might not be on monthly autopilot as in the last bond-buying wind-down.\nThere are two main reasons some observers don’t expect to hear firm taper plans this week. First, there is the Delta-variant wildcard. Second, Powell will be reluctant to front-run the policy-making committee, which next meets Sept. 21-22.\nJoe Brusuelas, chief economist at RSM, points to one specific line in the July meeting minutes which he says is a tip that Fed watchers shouldn’t expect much in the way of tapering plans. When the Fed said “no decisions regarding future adjustments to asset purchases were made at this meeting,”it was a signal to seasoned Fed watchers to not expect much on tapering plans at Jackson Hole, Brusuelas says.\nRecent commentary out of Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan supports expectations for Powell to punt on taper specifics. The first official to say the Fed should start tapering soon, by which he meant this fall, Kaplan suggested the Delta variant could warrant a delay.\n“It’s unfolding rapidly,” Kaplan said on Fox Business Network last week, adding that the Delta variant is slowing down a return to the office and hiring and limiting production which is exacerbating supply constraints. “The thing that I am going to be watching very carefully over the next month, before the next meeting, is [whether] it is having a more material impact on slowing demand and slowing GDP growth. I’m going to keep an open mind on that, and if it is having a more negative effect that might cause me to adjust my views somewhat from ones that I’ve stated,” he said.\nInflation Versus Delta\nIn trying to thread the needle between acknowledging renewed economic risks from Covid-19 and satisfying hawks’ concerns about hot, persistent inflation, Powell runs the risk of disappointing one side.\nPhil Orlando, chief equity market strategist at Federated Hermes, says he is worried Powell will leave markets unconvinced that the Fed is taking inflation seriously enough. “The Fed has been whistling past the graveyard on inflation for the better part of year,” he says. It was during last year’s Jackson Hole conference when Powell unveiled the Fed’s new policy framework, a major shift whereby the central bank tolerates higher inflation and prioritizes the full-employment side of its mandate.\nWhat does Orlando want to hear this year? “We get it. Inflation is here to stay and it’s time to pull back.” Still, Orlando wants assurance from Powell that tapering will be slow.\nBefore Powell speaks Friday morning, the Fed’s favored inflation gauge will be reported for July. Economists polled by FactSet expect that the personal consumption expenditures index to have risen a tenth to 4.1% from a year earlier, with the measure excluding food and energy holding at 3.5%. The Fed’s longstanding inflation goal is 2%.\nHow Powell frames uncertainty over the Delta variant’s economic impact is a difficult dance. On the one hand, plenty of investors will appreciate the excuse to delay tapering. On the other hand, expressing rising virus fear may spook investors already worried about economic growth and corporate earnings topping.\nMarket Reactions\nStrategists are split on how they expect markets to respond to Powell on Friday, but most say volatility is likely.\nOrlando, for his part, thinks stocks will fall after Powell’s speech and is bracing for what he calls a 5-10% “air pocket” in stocks from Friday through October given mounting headwinds from inflation to Delta to geopolitics. A worst-case scenario, he says, could take the S&P 500 back down to the 200-day moving average of roughly 4000. (The S&P 500 was at 4498 at the time of writing.)\nAhead of Friday’s speech, Orlando says he’s sticking with cyclical stocks over growth stocks, favoring financials, industrials, energy and materials.\nBrusuelas, meanwhile, says there is virtually no chance of a hawkish surprise and predicts a positive reaction to any perceived dovishness. That means higher for stocks and lower for Treasury yields, even if investors don’t get the clarity on the timing and magnitude of tapering that the market is craving, he says.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":933,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":837411980,"gmtCreate":1629904709640,"gmtModify":1676530169112,"author":{"id":"3563274139348735","authorId":"3563274139348735","name":"KentAN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3f5dbe90d304ffb84c6f2eee8c01081","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3563274139348735","idStr":"3563274139348735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$ARK Innovation ETF(ARKK)$continue to buy at the dip","listText":"$ARK Innovation ETF(ARKK)$continue to buy at the dip","text":"$ARK Innovation ETF(ARKK)$continue to buy at the dip","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/837411980","repostId":"1107700028","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":966,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":834564702,"gmtCreate":1629814211606,"gmtModify":1676530140216,"author":{"id":"3563274139348735","authorId":"3563274139348735","name":"KentAN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3f5dbe90d304ffb84c6f2eee8c01081","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3563274139348735","idStr":"3563274139348735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Shopify(SHOP)$is moving! The reduction in F-150 production underscores the potential severity of the chip shortage, knowing that the F-150 is the best-selling car in the United States and Ford's biggest money maker. Its chief financial officer John Lawler said Ford has struggled to move semiconductor products to a high-margin product line, but some of its chips are exclusive to the F-150. Ford executives warned as they discussed fourth-quarter earnings that losses in global auto production in the first and second quarters of the year could reduce its pre-tax profit this year by $1 billion to $2.5 billion.

Ford said on February 4 that starting Monday, its Dearborn truck plant in Michigan will reduce truck production from three shifts a week to one, while truck production at its Kansas City, Missouri assembly plant will be reduced from three weeks to two shifts. General Motors said it would completely cut production at its three factories in North America starting from the week of February 8th. In addition, the automaker said on February 3 that the production capacity of South Korea's Bupyeong 2 plant will be halved. GM didn't say how many volumes it would lose or which supplier was affected by the chip shortage. But GM said that the focus has been on making the factories that produce the most profitable vehicles (full-size pickup trucks and SUVs and Chevrolet Corvette sports cars). GM said it intends to make up for lost production as much as possible.

But AutoForecast Solutions, which tracks production, estimates that GM's total losses will reach nearly 10,000 vehicles next week. Affected GM vehicles include the Chevrolet Malibu sedan, Cadillac XT4 SUV, Chevrolet Equinox and Trax, GMC Terrain SUV and Buick Encore small crossover. GM says its focus is on keeping the most profitable products, such as the Silverado and Corvette, running at full speed.

\"Despite mitigation measures, the semiconductor shortage will affect GM production in 2021,\" GM spokesman David Barnas said in a Reuters statement.

Fiat Chrysler

Fiat Chrysler said it is delaying the resumption of production after the plant planned to build the Jeep Compass at its Toluca plant in Mexico shut down. Since then, we have lost about 10,000 vehicles simply because we lost 50,000 vehicle production due to certain chips in December.\"

China is a crucial market for the world's largest automaker, with Volkswagen's massive business accounting for roughly 40% of global vehicle deliveries and being highly profitable.

Wollenstein said the chip shortage primarily affects models using the company's electronic stability system. The system is a sensor system that works in conjunction with the car's anti-lock braking system to prevent the wheels from failing after an accidental steering. Some other parts may also be affected, he said, without providing further details. There are some businesses that don't seem to feel it yet or have very little fluctuation. This includes Tesla, Volkswagen, BMW, domesticBYDAndNioIt doesn't seem to have a great impact.

During the pandemic's rampage last year, Tesla has overtaken Toyota and Volkswagen to become the most valuable automaker in the pandemic, although its sales account for only a fraction of the traditional giant's cars. Tesla shares jumped more than 100% in the second quarter, during which time Tesla's sales exceeded expectations thanks to rapidly ramp-up production at its Shanghai factory, which was largely unaffected by the pandemic.

Tesla was the first company to announce a price increase after the chip shortage. Tesla founder and CEO Musk had previously anxiously announced that the chip shortage may affect production and supply in the short term, and he is doing his best to overcome the chip shortage.

In the space of autonomous driving, Tesla arguably dominates, and autonomous driving technology is the next technological frontier, promising to unlock trillions of dollars in value and one of the biggest social impacts since the iPhone. And according to Korean media reports, Tesla is working withSamsung ElectronicsCollaborate on the development of 5nm semiconductors for fully autonomous vehicles. For Tesla, securing the use of a new 5nm AI chip would be a big step towards its goal of introducing a wide range of self-driving electric vehicles.

While many automakers around the world have been forced to idle factories this year due to chip shortages, Hyundai said it has not been affected. Because even after the pandemic hit sales and closed factories last year, Hyundai didn't cancel any semiconductor orders. Furthermore,Hyundai MotorsSetting 2021 as the \"year of future transformation,\" the company aims to sell 160,000 electric vehicles by 2021, compared to 100,000 electric vehicles last year due to strong demand for its Kona electric utility vehicle, despite the coronavirus pandemic already surging demand for vehicles.

BMW said in January that so far it has not been affected by the chip shortage and production has not been interrupted, but it remains in close contact with suppliers. But, Infineon said it is coping with growing demand for power chips and sensors it produces itself, and building closer direct ties with automakers such as Volkswagen to better meet their needs.

Parts supplier Continental Airlines (CTTAF) said in a statement previously sent to CNN Business: \"With lead times of six to nine months, the semiconductor industry is unable to quickly scale up to meet this unexpected increase in automotive demand.\" The bottleneck is expected to continue into 2021, which will lead to significant disruptions to Continental's production.

Bosch, the world's largest auto parts supplier, said in a statement Tuesday that it is doing everything in its power to keep customers supplied. \"In this regard, we maintain close contact with our suppliers and customers on a daily basis,\" it added.

Chipmaker Xilinx warned that the problem has expanded beyond semiconductor manufacturing to the supply of other materials and components. Analog Devices CEO also said that the shortage of automotive chips will slow down the development of automakers.

In addition, supply exceeds demand, and chip shortages will inevitably usher in price increases. Netherlands-based chipmakerNXP(NXP) and Japan's Renesas Electronics said they were looking to raise prices amid shortages and climbing raw material costs. People familiar with the matter said,STMicroelectronicsSimilar moves are being considered, and STMicroelectronics declined to comment.

(2)Secondly, this automobile core shortage incident once again sounded the alarm of \"autonomy and controllability\" for all countries.

\"This incident of the chip shortage once again demonstrates how urgent and necessary it is to have an autonomous and controllable supply chain,\" said Chen Shihua, a senior official at the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Markus Duesmann, head of luxury division Audi, a board member responsible for research and development at Volkswagen, Europe's largest automaker, said: \"We will not produce our own chips. But, of course, we want to have strong chipmakers that are at least on par with Asia and the United States.\" \"Ultimately, technology is crucial to the group's success,\" he said, adding that Europe should lead the way in future technologies such as software and chips.

In order to solve the problem of chip supply shortage, Volkswagen bypassed the long-term cooperation with auto parts manufacturers such as Bosch and automotive chip manufacturers such as Infineon, and directly went to Taiwan Province semiconductor manufacturers to place orders. However, Volkswagen did not disclose the cooperation with Taiwan Province manufacturers. In an effort to avoid another crisis, Volkswagen said it is considering bypassing large suppliers and building closer relationships with chipmakers.

In terms of autonomy and controllability, it is reported that European countries are planning to support the production of local technology hardware, including processors and semiconductors, through IPCEI. Targeted assistance may lead to investments of up to 50 billion euros (US $60 billion). However, the specific level of investment and the question of who will invest has not been determined.

(3)Finally, with the shortage of automotive chips, can other chip fields be immune? It doesn't seem to be so.

\"Don't expect the problem to be confined to the automotive industry alone either, the shortage in the semiconductor industry is across the board.\"QualcommExpress. The ongoing shortage of automotive chips has knock-on effects across the industry. According to reports,SamsungThere are concerns that problems in one area of the semiconductor market may spill over to other areas.

According to the Financial Times, automakers have lobbied governments and chipmakers around the globe for help due to insufficient chip capacity.TSMCIt has promised to speed up orders with automakers, and other foundries around the world may make similar vows. Samsung Concerns: \"While our capacity is fully utilizing demand from various industries, TSMC is reallocating our wafer capacity to support the global automotive industry.\"

Samsung is particularly concerned that it won't be able to deliver new phones on time because foundries will be busy making chips for other companies, including the auto industry. Foundry shortages could squeeze the smartphone industry by limiting the number of devices available on the market. Samsung is particularly exposed in this case: it is both the world's largest smartphone manufacturer, the largest DRAM manufacturer, and the largest NAND manufacturer.

epilogue
No one can give a definite conclusion about how long this car core shortage storm will last. This problem caused by multiple chains of the industry will surely be broken by them one by one.
","source":"gelonghui_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Cars lack core and all beings
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nCars lack core and all beings\n
\n
\n
\n格隆汇2021-02-08 14:27\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
The car market saw a dizzying recovery in the second half of last year, but it came at a steep price. The shortage could \"affect thousands of vehicles in the January-March quarter in Japan alone,\" the source added.

Honda clearly lacks semiconductors for vehicle control systems. Because the process of sourcing materials and turning them into semiconductors takes more than three months, quickly adjusting production volumes to demand is a daunting task.

Subaru

Japanese automaker Subaru Corp said on January 14 that it would cut production of \"thousands\" of vehicles in Japan and the United States in January. A Subaru spokesman said Subaru would adjust production and reduce production at its Gunma plant in Japan. Production. The company did not specify how many cars it will build. Subaru will also reduce production at its Indiana plant, the spokesman said.

According to a Reuters report on February 5, Subaru said on Friday that it has cut its production plan for the current fiscal year by about 48,000 vehicles due to a global chip shortage. Subaru Chief Financial Officer Toshiaki Okada said that while the automaker certainly believes the impact of the chip crunch will continue into the next fiscal year, it's unclear how many vehicles will be affected. He said on the earnings call that automakers may also suspend or adjust factory operations in the future if they are unable to source chips.

Toyota Motors

Toyota Motor said on January 10 that it would cut production of its full-size pickup truck Tundra due to global semiconductor shortages. On the morning of January 15, Toyota also said that it would suspend production at three factories in Aichi Prefecture, Japan due to parts shortages. four production lines. The lines will resume operations in the afternoon shift, a company spokesman said. The company expects to reduce production of its San Antonio-built Tundra model by 40% this month due to limited chip supplies.

In the Chinese market, Toyota stopped production lines at its Guangzhou factory on January 11 due to parts shortages. Toyota operates the plant together with Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. In recent years, the plant has produced more than 300,000 vehicles a year, including the Camry.

Nissan Motor

Nissan said on January 8 that it would cut production at one of its factories in Japan this month. Spokesperson Azusa Momose said: \"The global semiconductor shortage has affected parts procurement in the automotive sector. Due to this shortage, the Oppama plant in Japan will adjust production in January to reduce production of the Nissan Note.\"

The production of Nissan's compact hatchback Note will be reduced by about 8,000 units in January, part of a total reduction that could exceed 10,000 units and will continue through March, Nikkan Kogyo reported on January 15. At the same time, Nissan's truck factory in Mississippi has reduced working hours.

Mazda

Hiroshima Prefecture-based Mazda Corp. is the latest automaker to be hit by the semiconductor shortage. According to a Reuters report on February 3, Mazda is considering cutting global production by 34,000 vehicles in February and March. On February 4, it also stated that it expects chip shortages to affect its automobile production starting this month. Mazda will revise its production plan based on current assumptions, so its global production in February will be 7,000 fewer vehicles than originally planned, Mazda Chief Executive Akira Marumoto said on an earnings call.

Models affected by production cuts include the CX-5 and CX-30 SUVs and the Mazda3 sedan because of a shortage of chips used in braking systems and safety components. Mazda plans to reduce domestic production of the CX-5 by 3,900 units in February and is considering reducing production of the SUV by about 6,000 units in March.

The manufacturer is also considering cutting production of the Mazda 3 and CX-30 in Japan, China and Mexico. \"We expect (global) production to be affected in February,\" a Mazda spokesperson said. \"We will continue to do our best to minimize the impact.\"

Mazda said on the same day that it now expects its net loss to shrink to 50 billion yen ($475 million) this fiscal year as cost-cutting efforts have paid off and sales of higher-margin models continue to grow. The company had previously expected a net loss of 90 billion yen.

The case of American car companies:

Ford

Ford is cutting F-150 pickup trucks from factories in Michigan and Missouri due to a global shortage of semiconductor chips.

Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker said both factories are expected to resume three shifts during the week of February 15.

General Motors

General Motors (GM) is the latest automaker to feel the impact of a global semiconductor chip shortage.

It also plans to schedule downtime at its Canadian plant in Ontario, which makes the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger.

\"This will minimize the impact of the current semiconductor shortage while ensuring we maintain production at other North American facilities,\" the company said in a statement, which is scheduled to merge with PSA Group (PUGOY) this month.

The situation of Korean car companies is as follows:

public

Stephan Wollenstein, head of Volkswagen China, said at an online media conference on Wednesday: \"In December last year, the shortage of automotive chips was already affecting us.

The changes will affect production of the best-selling Volkswagen Golf and its models under its Audi, Skoda and Seat brands.

Here's what it looks like for European car companies:

Audi

In an interview with the Financial Times, Audi AG head Markus Duesmann said that due to Volkswagen's chip shortage, production lines have slowed down production, and Volkswagen Group'sLuxuriousCar brand Audi has furloughed more than 10,000 workers. Audi is arranging short-term work for workers at its factories in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm until January 29, when production of the A4 and A5 models will be affected.

Daimler

On January 15, 2020, German car brand Daimler will cut production at a second plant and reduce its working hours, according to Handelsblatt, citing unnamed company sources. According to the newspaper, Daimler will reduce production in Bremen and may even close it for a few days in early February. Earlier, the company said it would reduce working hours at its compact car factory in Rastatt.

Mercedes-Benz's parent company Daimler is undergoing a restructuring. In an effort to attract investors looking for pure luxury automakers and electric vehicle businesses, the company will spin off its sprawling truck unit, according to Reuters. The majority of Daimler Trucks, the world's largest commercial truck and bus manufacturer, will be split between Daimler's current shareholders. Overall, the move could allow Mercedes-Benz to position itself in the market asTeslaTesla's direct competitor may attract investors because Tesla's valuation is higher than the 10 largest automakers combined. According to Automotive News, the new company will be called Mercedes-Benz, replacing the Daimler name.

Dacia

In February, Dacia's automotive plant in Mioveni, Romania, had suspended production due to the global semiconductor crisis.

Samsung is particularly exposed in this case: it is both the world's largest smartphone manufacturer, the largest DRAM manufacturer, and the largest NAND manufacturer.

epilogue
No one can give a definite conclusion about how long this car core shortage storm will last. ,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9,"GM":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":279,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3571545240838193","authorId":"3571545240838193","name":"SpadeUp","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/b34763b06474f78e2c9e7a55367869a6","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3571545240838193","idStr":"3571545240838193"},"content":"I Shares of the movie theater operator have skyrocketed close to 2,500% year to date.
\n
The consensus among analysts, though, is that the stock could lose 90% of its current value. Even the most optimistic analyst surveyed by Refinitiv has a price target for AMC that's more than 70% below the current share price.
\n
But isn't AMC's business picking up? Yep. The easing of restrictions has enabled the company to reopen 99% of its U.S. theaters. AMC could benefit as seating capacity limitations imposed by state and local governments are raised. Retail investors viewed Clover as a primeshort squeezecandidate.
\n
Since the beginning of June, shares of Clover Health have jumped more than 65%. Analysts, however, don't expect those gains to last. The Canadian marijuana stock vaulted more than 520% higher year to date before giving up much of its gains. However, Sundial's share price has still more than doubled in 2021.
\n
Analysts anticipate that the pot stock could fall even further. The consensus price target for Sundial reflects a 23% discount to its current share price. But after reaching all-time highs earlier this year, the stock has fallen considerably and has been trading mostly sideways since early March. NIO's shares have provided investors with an astronomic total return of 1,171.9% over the past year, well above the S&P 500's total return of 45.5%.
\n
Source: TradingView.
\n
NIO Earnings History
\n
The stock, which had been gathering downward momentum after peaking around mid-February, plunged following NIO's Q4 FY 2020 earnings report released at the beginning of March. system.
\n
What Happened: A formal investigation into Tesla's Autopilot having issues with recognizing parked emergency vehicles has been initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA), Associated Press reported, citing a posting on the agency's website.
\n
The agency reportedly said it has identified 11 crashes since 2018 whenTeslaon Autopilot or Traffic Aware Cruise Control has rammed against vehicles with flashing lights, flares, an illuminated arrow board or cones warning of hazards.
\n
The observation follows an investigation into Tesla's vehicles, including Model Y, X, S and 3, from 2014 through 2021 model years.
\n
Autopilot is often misused by Tesla drivers, who drive under the influence of alcohol, or in random cases have even sat in the backseat while the system is on.
\n
Data released by the NHSTA showed that out of the 31 crashes involving partially automated driver-assist investigated since June 2016, 25 involved Tesla Autopilot, in which 10 deaths were identified, the report said.
\n
Why It's Important: Safety has been found to be a key issue with EVs involving automated driver assistance system.
\n
Those opposed to the technology have blamed that Tesla misled car owners regarding the technology's abilities, prompting them to believe that they can turn their attention away from the road while the system is on.
\n
Even as this semi-autonomous driving technology is fraught with issues, Tesla is now promoting its full self-driving as a subscription offering.
\n
Following the release of the ninth FSD beta in July, Consumer Reports said it was concerned that Tesla has released the software directly to owners to test out on public roads, which could put others on the road at risk.
\n
Incidentally, Tesla's CEO Elon Musk announced Sunday through a tweet that there has been a delay in the release of the new FSD software update.
\n
TSLA Price Action: Tesla shares were down 4.69% at $683.52 Monday morning.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" Bipartisan talk of antitrust actions against the e-commerce giant could mean that Amazon’s dominance could begin to face challenges from Washington. That comes as Bezos handed off the CEO role to Andy Jassy earlier this month.
\n
Shares of Amazon have underperformed the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 in 2021, even as the coronavirus pandemic forced Americans to rely on its service during the darkest days.
\n
Given all this, it is worth considering e-commerce alternatives if you’re worried that Amazon’s best days are behind it.
\n
Here are five smaller high-growth companies you may want to research:
\n
Sea
\n
Shares of Sea Ltd. are up about 45% in 2021, hitting new all-time highs as it continues its aggressive growth across Asia and Latin America.
\n
The Singapore-based company has a broad business model capitalizing on e-commerce and digital retail operations around the world. That includes its Garena digital entertainment platform that publishes video games and offers e-sports tie-ins, the Shopee e-commerce platform and SeaMoney digital financial services that include mobile payment services.
\n
Sea was a darling in 2020 as it rode the “stay at home trade” to great success. Revenue doubled year over year in 2020 to $4.4 billion, and the company’s momentum was the envy of Wall Street as Sea stock racked up roughly 640% gains on the calendar year.
\n
But the fundamentals shown by Sea in 2021 hint that the surge in share prices were justified. Consider that in its first-quarter report in May, revenue surged by about 150%— while gross profit tripled year over year.
\n
With its next earnings report scheduled for mid-August, Sea stock could see another leg up as it continues to prove Amazon isn’t the only e-commerce name worth watching.
\n
Coupang
\n
While Sea has been a cult stock for a while in some circles, one Asian e-commerce stock that is still flying under the radar for many is Korea-based Coupang Inc.. South Korea’s biggest e-commerce company began trading in March after an IPO that raised $4.6 billion, but since then shares have drifted lower — and other cult-like stocks have won all the attention.
\n
If you haven’t yet heard of Coupang, its model should be quite familiar. It sells various products including home goods, apparel, beauty products, sporting goods and electronics. It’s also looking beyond these tried-and-true categories to include a focus on fresh food and groceries, as well as services including travel and restaurant delivery.
\n
Though the fundamentals are light given its recent debut, the numbers we have do show this regional e-tailer is connecting in a big way in Korea. Namely, it saw net revenue growth of 74% in its first-quarter report in May, and gross profit up 70% year over year. Total customers grew 21%, and revenue per customer surged 44%.
\n
Admittedly, the total customer base in that quarter was just 16 million households — hardly Amazon-esque. And so far in 2021, share prices has slumped slightly, even though the S&P 500 has powered higher. But remember, this is a company that just raised $4.6 billion — with a “B” — and is serious about growth. Considering the language and logistical barriers to competition in the markets it serves that clearly have long-term growth potential, investors may want to consider the lull in Coupang shares a buying opportunity.
\n
MercadoLibre
\n
Taking a page out of the playbook of Silicon Valley stocks that boast high share prices and a refusal to split, MercadoLibre Inc. is currently trading well above four figures — and based on recent history, seems as if it’s likely to stay there.
\n
MercadoLibre stock has cooled off in 2021 and is sitting on a slight loss year to date, compared with an uptrend broadly for U.S. stocks. However, that’s after this Latin American stock racked up 200% gains last year. Argentina-based MercadoLibre is hardly slowing down, however, as in the first quarter it reported 70 million active users — an increase of 62% above the just over 43 million users in the prior year. Gross merchandise volume was up even more at a 77% year-over-year growth rate to just over $6 billion, compared with $3.4 billion in the first quarter of 2020.
\n
What’s really exciting for investors, however, is that the gains in core e-commerce transactions is supplemented by continued growth into financial services. MercadoLibre reported an impressive $2.9 billion in payment volume through its mobile wallet platform, and its Mercado Credito lending platform saw its portfolio grow to $576 million — more than doubling over the prior year.
\n
Amazon has taught e-commerce companies that dominating all aspects of the consumer experience is how to truly build a dominant operation. With MercadoLibre growing sales but also increasingly connecting on the financial side, it is setting up itself to be a force in Latin America — and a real competitor to even entrenched western e-commerce brands.
\n
Newegg
\n
Newegg Commerce Inc. is a consumer-electronics e-tailer that has a bit of a following in computer geek circles but largely has gone unnoticed by most consumers and investors. That is, until it spiked from $10 a share to a brief high above $60 a share in July.
\n
The inciting incident was news that Newegg would carry hard-to-get Nvidia graphics hardware, and theoretically see a big bump in revenue and profits as a result. However, Newegg may be proving that it is much more than just a tangential play piggybacking off Nvidia as it proves there is real value to specialty retailers that serve a specific audience — and can offer in-demand products instead of knock-offs propped up by fraudulent five-star reviews.
\n
Newegg went public via a SPAC, so it doesn’t have a lot of history to show investors just yet. But what little we know is proof that Newegg stock has potential. Consider it commands an impressive market share when it comes to core hardware items like PC processors, motherboards and the like. It also ranks as a top-five website worldwide when it comes to computer and electronics retailing sites, and is a go-to site for cryptocurrency miners as well as PC gamers.
\n
According to what we know about the financials, Newegg topped $2.1 billion in sales, thanks to its dominance in this profitable niche of computer components. And as evidenced by its recent Nvidia score, it has deep relationships with consumer electronics suppliers to ensure it is not just another Amazon clone selling cut-rate flat screens.
\n
Shopify
\n
If you’re interested in what life looks like for e-commerce beyond Amazon, look no further than Shopify Inc..This Canada-based tech company offers a platform for any company to build out web and mobile storefronts, integrate those operations into physical retail locations and then assist with the nitty gritty of inventory, shipping and payments.
\n
Shopify stock was one of those names that made a lot of headlines in 2020 as part of the pandemic-related surge in service providers made for social distancing. Shares surged from about $400 to $1,100 last year as a result of everyone looking to do business digitally. But in 2021, Shopify stock has tacked on almost 40% more, proving this is not just a COVID trade. Five other companies, including Sea and Coupang, are taking it further\nSea Ltd.'s Shopee e-commerce platform.\nJeff Bezos has plenty of achievements under his belt, the most recent being his extraterrestrial excursion.\nBut Amazon.com shareholders may not be so impressed. Bipartisan talk of antitrust actions against the e-commerce giant could mean that Amazon’s dominance could begin to face challenges from Washington. That comes as Bezos handed off the CEO role to Andy Jassy earlier this month.\nShares of Amazon have underperformed the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 in 2021, even as the coronavirus pandemic forced Americans to rely on its service during the darkest days.\nGiven all this, it is worth considering e-commerce alternatives if you’re worried that Amazon’s best days are behind it.\nHere are five smaller high-growth companies you may want to research:\nSea\nShares of Sea Ltd. are up about 45% in 2021, hitting new all-time highs as it continues its aggressive growth across Asia and Latin America.\nThe Singapore-based company has a broad business model capitalizing on e-commerce and digital retail operations around the world. That includes its Garena digital entertainment platform that publishes video games and offers e-sports tie-ins, the Shopee e-commerce platform and SeaMoney digital financial services that include mobile payment services.\nSea was a darling in 2020 as it rode the “stay at home trade” to great success. Revenue doubled year over year in 2020 to $4.4 billion, and the company’s momentum was the envy of Wall Street as Sea stock racked up roughly 640% gains on the calendar year.\nBut the fundamentals shown by Sea in 2021 hint that the surge in share prices were justified. Consider that in its first-quarter report in May, revenue surged by about 150%— while gross profit tripled year over year.\nWith its next earnings report scheduled for mid-August, Sea stock could see another leg up as it continues to prove Amazon isn’t the only e-commerce name worth watching.\nCoupang\nWhile Sea has been a cult stock for a while in some circles, one Asian e-commerce stock that is still flying under the radar for many is Korea-based Coupang Inc.. South Korea’s biggest e-commerce company began trading in March after an IPO that raised $4.6 billion, but since then shares have drifted lower — and other cult-like stocks have won all the attention.\nIf you haven’t yet heard of Coupang, its model should be quite familiar. It sells various products including home goods, apparel, beauty products, sporting goods and electronics. It’s also looking beyond these tried-and-true categories to include a focus on fresh food and groceries, as well as services including travel and restaurant delivery.\nThough the fundamentals are light given its recent debut, the numbers we have do show this regional e-tailer is connecting in a big way in Korea. Namely, it saw net revenue growth of 74% in its first-quarter report in May, and gross profit up 70% year over year. Total customers grew 21%, and revenue per customer surged 44%.\nAdmittedly, the total customer base in that quarter was just 16 million households — hardly Amazon-esque. And so far in 2021, share prices has slumped slightly, even though the S&P 500 has powered higher. But remember, this is a company that just raised $4.6 billion — with a “B” — and is serious about growth. Considering the language and logistical barriers to competition in the markets it serves that clearly have long-term growth potential, investors may want to consider the lull in Coupang shares a buying opportunity.\nMercadoLibre\nTaking a page out of the playbook of Silicon Valley stocks that boast high share prices and a refusal to split, MercadoLibre Inc. is currently trading well above four figures — and based on recent history, seems as if it’s likely to stay there.\nMercadoLibre stock has cooled off in 2021 and is sitting on a slight loss year to date, compared with an uptrend broadly for U.S. stocks. However, that’s after this Latin American stock racked up 200% gains last year. Argentina-based MercadoLibre is hardly slowing down, however, as in the first quarter it reported 70 million active users — an increase of 62% above the just over 43 million users in the prior year. Gross merchandise volume was up even more at a 77% year-over-year growth rate to just over $6 billion, compared with $3.4 billion in the first quarter of 2020.\nWhat’s really exciting for investors, however, is that the gains in core e-commerce transactions is supplemented by continued growth into financial services. MercadoLibre reported an impressive $2.9 billion in payment volume through its mobile wallet platform, and its Mercado Credito lending platform saw its portfolio grow to $576 million — more than doubling over the prior year.\nAmazon has taught e-commerce companies that dominating all aspects of the consumer experience is how to truly build a dominant operation. With MercadoLibre growing sales but also increasingly connecting on the financial side, it is setting up itself to be a force in Latin America — and a real competitor to even entrenched western e-commerce brands.\nNewegg\nNewegg Commerce Inc. is a consumer-electronics e-tailer that has a bit of a following in computer geek circles but largely has gone unnoticed by most consumers and investors. That is, until it spiked from $10 a share to a brief high above $60 a share in July.\nThe inciting incident was news that Newegg would carry hard-to-get Nvidia graphics hardware, and theoretically see a big bump in revenue and profits as a result. However, Newegg may be proving that it is much more than just a tangential play piggybacking off Nvidia as it proves there is real value to specialty retailers that serve a specific audience — and can offer in-demand products instead of knock-offs propped up by fraudulent five-star reviews.\nNewegg went public via a SPAC, so it doesn’t have a lot of history to show investors just yet. But what little we know is proof that Newegg stock has potential. Consider it commands an impressive market share when it comes to core hardware items like PC processors, motherboards and the like. It also ranks as a top-five website worldwide when it comes to computer and electronics retailing sites, and is a go-to site for cryptocurrency miners as well as PC gamers.\nAccording to what we know about the financials, Newegg topped $2.1 billion in sales, thanks to its dominance in this profitable niche of computer components. And as evidenced by its recent Nvidia score, it has deep relationships with consumer electronics suppliers to ensure it is not just another Amazon clone selling cut-rate flat screens.\nShopify\nIf you’re interested in what life looks like for e-commerce beyond Amazon, look no further than Shopify Inc..This Canada-based tech company offers a platform for any company to build out web and mobile storefronts, integrate those operations into physical retail locations and then assist with the nitty gritty of inventory, shipping and payments.\nShopify stock was one of those names that made a lot of headlines in 2020 as part of the pandemic-related surge in service providers made for social distancing. Shares surged from about $400 to $1,100 last year as a result of everyone looking to do business digitally. But in 2021, Shopify stock has tacked on almost 40% more, proving this is not just a COVID trade. After all, the e-commerce potential it helps merchants realize is real and lasting beyond the pandemic.\nCase in point:Fiscal first-quarter revenue growth reported at the end of April was a red hot 110%. But what long-term investors will like even more is that its subscription service metric MRR — that is, monthly recurring revenue — accelerated 62% year-over-year to prove that many of the initial spend on building out these platforms is sticking as clients maintain their Shopify presence.\nShopify isn’t quite the scale of Amazon, but at $200 billion or so in market value right now with a comfortable operating profit to sustain it, investors who want to bet the field vs. Bezos & Co. could do worse than plug into Shopify stock.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NEGG":0.9,"MELI":0.9,"CPNG":0.9,"SE":0.9,"SHOP":0.9,"AMZN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":647,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":141309012,"gmtCreate":1625837423536,"gmtModify":1703749533719,"author":{"id":"3563274139348735","authorId":"3563274139348735","name":"KentAN","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f3f5dbe90d304ffb84c6f2eee8c01081","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3563274139348735","idStr":"3563274139348735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$NIO Inc.(NIO)$lets GO!
