If you cover a short at price $X and immediately short it at the same price $X, the effect is net neutral on the stock... even though it cost the HF a bunch of money to cover from their previous underwater short. $AMC Entertainment(AMC)$My 2 cents.AMC has been in a consolidation period since last Tuesdays big run up. As the symmetrical triangle comes to a close the price will break out up or potentially down. Tomorrow looks like it will be a down day until we bounce off the support level. IF we get a good bounce off the support we could break out up to the next level. A break out is typically the length of the flag pole, which should take the price up to around 88-90 dollar range. This is what big money will be waiting to see before they buy in.
