produce its electric vehicles.
\n
As part of the partnership, Fisker's all-electric Ocean SUV is expected to start production at the Aurora, Ontario, company's facility in Graz, Austria, starting Nov. 17, 2022.
\n
\"From the start of this partnership, Fisker and Magna aligned very quickly on the importance of delivering a high-quality vehicle on time,\" Chief Executive Henrik Fisker said in a statement.
\n
The Graz manufacturing facility has produced more than 3.7 million vehicles for several global automakers.
\n
The agreement is \"broad-based\" covering planned volumes, manufacturing costs and quality metrics over the program's lifecycle which runs through 2029.
\n
The Ocean SUV from the Los Angeles company will use a version of a Magna-developed electric-vehicle architecture. Indeed, many would consider AI andAI stocksprominent growth sectors right now. This would be thanks to how AI empowers and enables the most cutting-edge tech in the world today. But, what exactly is AI?Simply put, AI allows computers to comprehend and learn from observable data. This machine learning is done via algorithms and is steadily outperforming humans at many tasks. Ranging from data analytics to security surveillance along with fraud detection. For one thing, these are but a few cases of AI application and the list continues to grow each day. According to Grand View Research, the global AI market could grow to a whopping $733.7 billion by 2027. Even ARK Invest estimates that the industry could create $30 trillion instock marketvalue over the next 15 years. Given all of this, I can see why investors would be looking for the best AI stocks now.For example, we could look at the likes of DocuSign (NASDAQ: DOCU) and Nuance Communications (NASDAQ: NUAN). On one hand, DocuSign employs AI to uncover hidden risks while also highlighting key aspects in digital contracts. By doing so, it helps clients cut down on legal review spending and accelerates deal flow. On the other hand, Nuance’s AI-powered software helps automate paperwork in the healthcare industry. For investors, the figures will be higher stakes than usual. The reason is simple: The global automotive microchip shortage is roiling the entire car business.
\n
Numbers will matter even more for richly valued, high-growth companies such as Tesla(ticker: TSLA). Tesla investors want growth, and the chip situation is squeezing growth. Both General Motors(GM) and Ford Motor(F) have taken unexpected plant downtime recently and have called the chip issue a billion-dollar profit headwind for 2021. That’s not what investors want to hear.
\n
Everyone is aware of the issue. Still, when first-quarter data is released, investors have to decide whether or not to give Tesla, or any other fast-growing EV maker, a pass if results are weaker than expected.
\n
So far the market isn’t feeling charitable. But the sample size is only one stock.
\n
NIO shares (NIO) are down more than 6% in Friday trading after the EV maker reduced guidance for first-quarter deliveries from about 20,250 cars to about 19,500. NIO management cited the chip shortage and is shutting a manufacturing plant for five days starting March 29.
\n
For Tesla, Wall Street is looking for about 162,000 vehicles delivered in March. That’s down from a peak estimate of about 183,000 vehicles. Analysts seem to be reducing numbers, possibly because of the shortage.
\n
Tesla delivered about 181,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. For the full year 2021, analysts are looking for almost 800,000 vehicle deliveries, up about 60% year over year.
\n
RBC analyst Joe Spak is forecasting 170,000 first-quarter deliveries, up more than 90% year over year. He also forecasts Tesla will make 96,000 cars in California and 74,000 cars in China during the quarter. “Consensus [estimate] looks mostly reasonable,” wrote Spak in a Thursday report. “We do look for updates to see how the semi shortage is impacting Tesla—as it has the rest of the industry.” He sees some additional downside risk to estimates, especially for second-quarter numbers, because of chips.
\n
Spak rates Tesla stock Hold and has a $725 price target for shares.
\n
In the case of Tesla stock, the chip shortage has taken a back seat to rising interest rates. Rising rateshit growth stocksin two main ways. For starters, it makes growth more expensive to finance. NIO isn’t profitable yet. High-growth companies generate most of their cash flow far in the future. That cash flow is worth a little less, relatively speaking, when investors can earn higher interest rates on their cash today.
\n
Tesla stock is down roughly 10% year to date after rising more than 740% in 2020. Shares are down 0.9% in early Friday trading, at $634.40. The S&P 500is up about 0.7%.
","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Tesla Deliveries Are Coming. That means more delivery data from auto makers is due. For investors, the figures will be higher stakes than usual. The reason is simple: The global automotive microchip shortage is roiling the entire car business.\nNumbers will matter even more for richly valued, high-growth companies such as Tesla(ticker: TSLA). Tesla investors want growth, and the chip situation is squeezing growth. Both General Motors(GM) and Ford Motor(F) have taken unexpected plant downtime recently and have called the chip issue a billion-dollar profit headwind for 2021. That’s not what investors want to hear.\nEveryone is aware of the issue. Still, when first-quarter data is released, investors have to decide whether or not to give Tesla, or any other fast-growing EV maker, a pass if results are weaker than expected.\nSo far the market isn’t feeling charitable. But the sample size is only one stock.\nNIO shares (NIO) are down more than 6% in Friday trading after the EV maker reduced guidance for first-quarter deliveries from about 20,250 cars to about 19,500. NIO management cited the chip shortage and is shutting a manufacturing plant for five days starting March 29.\nFor Tesla, Wall Street is looking for about 162,000 vehicles delivered in March. That’s down from a peak estimate of about 183,000 vehicles. Analysts seem to be reducing numbers, possibly because of the shortage.\nTesla delivered about 181,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. For the full year 2021, analysts are looking for almost 800,000 vehicle deliveries, up about 60% year over year.\nRBC analyst Joe Spak is forecasting 170,000 first-quarter deliveries, up more than 90% year over year. He also forecasts Tesla will make 96,000 cars in California and 74,000 cars in China during the quarter. “Consensus [estimate] looks mostly reasonable,” wrote Spak in a Thursday report. “We do look for updates to see how the semi shortage is impacting Tesla—as it has the rest of the industry.” He sees some additional downside risk to estimates, especially for second-quarter numbers, because of chips.\nSpak rates Tesla stock Hold and has a $725 price target for shares.\nIn the case of Tesla stock, the chip shortage has taken a back seat to rising interest rates. Rising rateshit growth stocksin two main ways. For starters, it makes growth more expensive to finance. NIO isn’t profitable yet. High-growth companies generate most of their cash flow far in the future. That cash flow is worth a little less, relatively speaking, when investors can earn higher interest rates on their cash today.\nTesla stock is down roughly 10% year to date after rising more than 740% in 2020. Shares are down 0.9% in early Friday trading, at $634.40. The S&P 500is up about 0.7%.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":440,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":322304851,"gmtCreate":1615771351473,"gmtModify":1704786244446,"author":{"id":"3574639331964090","authorId":"3574639331964090","name":"yung","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9824f99b3f3aafd5e3bbacc77ffee02d","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574639331964090","authorIdStr":"3574639331964090"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/322304851","repostId":"2119999509","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":653,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":329943268,"gmtCreate":1615202166954,"gmtModify":1704779477459,"author":{"id":"3574639331964090","authorId":"3574639331964090","name":"yung","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9824f99b3f3aafd5e3bbacc77ffee02d","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574639331964090","authorIdStr":"3574639331964090"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/329943268","repostId":"1143083276","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1143083276","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1615201169,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1143083276?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-03-08 18:59","market":"us","language":"en","title":"\"Betting On A Dream\": Could Tesla Be The Canary In The ETF Liquidity Coal Mine?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1143083276","media":"zerohedge","summary":"All eyes are going to be on Tesla this year. The stock has been smashed over the last few weeks amidst a broader sentiment heat-check for NASDAQ names, high flying technology stocks and, well, just other speculative garbage.Over the last month, Tesla has fallen from about $868 to $598, a plunge of about 31%. heartland

CEO’s ‘relative honeymoon’ draws to close, says analyst

TOKYO/HONG KONG, March 30 (Reuters) - Nomura Holdings will have to sharpen its focus on risk management systems and may need to rein in its U.S. ambitions, analysts said after the Japanese bank flagged a possible $2 billion loss tied to a single U.S. client.

Nomura and other investment banks may lose more than $6 billion after lending to Archegos Capital, a U.S. investment firm run by former Tiger Asia manager Bill Hwang that was forced to liquidate large equity bets last week in a sell-off that rocked Wall Street.

It raises tough questions for Nomura, Japan’s biggest brokerage and investment bank, which has been on a drive to expand beyond its domestic market, mainly with a push in the United States, and as it seeks to join the top league of global investment banks.

“The key question that comes up is what were the compliance and risk folks doing all this while?” said one person with knowledge of a debate now going on inside Nomura.

“There were definitely plans to do more (in the United States) and those plans will now be put on the hold until they sort out this mess. The exact extent of the losses is not clear yet,” said the person, who was not authorised to speak to the media and asked not to be named.

Some brokerages have cut their ratings on Nomura, whose shares have fallen 17% in two sessions.

Nomura is not alone. Credit Suisse warned of losses linked to a U.S. client, which like Nomura it did not name, although sources said it was Archegos. The brokerage arm of Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group on Tuesday flagged potential losses of about $300 million, also related to an unnamed U.S. client.

Yet it deals a particular blow to Nomura and Chief Executive Kentaro Okuda, who has been running the bank for about a year. He has been driving the Japanese firm’s global expansion after stop-start efforts in the past decade.

MARKET TURBULENCE

“Nomura has been repeating this cycle – expanding the overseas business and restructuring it after a financial hit.
