the herd is an incredible understatement and always has been. While publicly they sometimes seem reluctant to discuss their holdings, especially stocks they are short sellers of, the reality is that managers tend to talk among themselves as they run in the same circles, and often the discussions are centered on their portfolios and what is in them.
\n
In a new research report, Savita Subramanian, the superb BofA Securities equity and quant strategist, and her team look at mutual fund and hedge fund holdings. As per usual, many of the top stocks are incredibly crowded. The report said this about current conditions:
\n
\n Several of the largest stay-at-home beneficiaries are more crowded by funds today than a year ago: The world looks completely different than a year ago. A year ago, the consumer heavily relied on e-commerce and shifted their consumption from services to goods. But today, reopening is well underway and the consumer is increasing their services consumption (sometimes at the expense of goods), hitting e-commerce.We were interested in the stocks that fund managers with the highest relative overweight percentage in their portfolios, and the five stocks that lead that category are very strong ideas for growth investors with a degree of risk tolerance. Portfolio weight is the percentage of an investment portfolio that a particular holding or type of holding comprises. The most basic way to determine the weight of an asset is by dividing the dollar value of a security by the total dollar value of the portfolio.\n
\n

\n
The five stocks are listed here in order of the highest relative weighting by fund managers, and they all have Buy ratings at top Wall Street firms. It is important to remember that no single analyst report should be used as a sole basis for any buying or selling decision.
\n
Baker Hughes
\n
This somewhat contrarian play makes sense for investors looking for quality energy exposure. Baker Hughes Co. (NYSE: BKR) is an international industrial service company and one of the world’s largest oil field services companies. It provides the oil and gas industry with products and services for oil drilling, formation evaluation, completion, production and reservoir consulting. It is the second-largest oilfield services and equipment company in the world by market cap.
\n
Baker Hughes prides itself on being a self-described energy technology company that provides solutions to energy and industrial customers worldwide. Built on a century of experience and with operations in over 120 countries, the firm’s innovative technologies and services are taking energy forward.
\n
Goldman Sachs has a Buy rating and said this recently:
\n
\n Baker Hughes is the core equipment provider and has 90%+ market share in the global LNG liquefaction development market, which we expect will drive EBITDA and margin growth.\n
\n
Fund managers have a 3.35% relative weighting on this one. Shareholders receive a 3.05% dividend. The $29 Goldman Sachs price target for Baker Hughes stock compares with a $27.90 consensus target and a Wednesday’s closing print of $21.51.
\n
Chipotle Mexican Grill
\n
The remains a favorite destination for those looking to eat out, and the stock is a top pick across Wall Street. Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) operates more than 2,400 fast-casual Mexican restaurants offering freshly made burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads.
\n
It is 100% company-operated and runs average unit volumes much higher than peers. The company has established a strong foundation with a focus on operations, supply chain and marketing over the past two years. The digital transformation brought about by the pandemic allows Chipotle to leverage its digital ecosystem, the strong mobile app, a rapidly growing loyalty program with over 20 million members in just two years, and third-party delivery and digital drive-thrus continue to drive top-line growth and improving margins.
\n
Chipotle Mexican Grill posted incredible second-quarter results, beating Wall Street’s forecasts for both the top and bottom lines. Sales at restaurants open at least a year grew more than 31%, also coming in ahead of expectations. Many across Wall Street raised their price targets on the stock after the report.
\n
Fund managers have a 2.64% relative weighting. Baird has a price target of $2,150 for Chipotle Mexican Grill stock, while the consensus target is $1,769.72. Wednesday’s closing price was $1,855.46 a share.
\n
EOG Resources
\n
This leading energy firm shows up well on many Wall Street screens. EOG Resources Inc. (NYSE: EOG) is one of the largest independent exploration and production companies operating in the United States, Canada, Trinidad, the United Kingdom and China.
\n
The stock was hit hard earlier this summer and offering an outstanding entry point for investors looking for quality ideas in the sector. EOG has secured four years of drilling permits, while retaining flexibility to reallocate resources to other parts of the portfolio and off federal property. EOG has 3000 locations not on federal lands, which most on Wall Street expect to expand through its exploration.
\n
Fund managers have a 2.55% relative weighting. Shareholders receive a 2.38% dividend. The price target at Piper Sandler is a whopping $110. The posted consensus target is $97.53, and EOG Resources stock closed at $69.46 on Tuesday.
\n
Carrier Global
\n
This huge corporation might be a big beneficiary of an infrastructure build-out. Carrier Global Corp. (NYSE: CARR) provides heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies, worldwide.
\n
The HVAC segment provides products, controls, services and solutions to meet the heating and cooling needs of residential and commercial customers. Its products include air conditioners, heating systems, controls and aftermarket components, as well as aftermarket repair and maintenance services and building automation solutions.
\n
The Refrigeration segment offers transport refrigeration products and services, including refrigeration and monitoring systems for trucks, trailers, shipping containers, intermodal and rail, as well as commercial refrigeration solutions, such as refrigerated cabinets, freezers, systems and controls.
\n
The Fire & Security segment provides various residential and building systems, including fire, flame, gas, smoke and carbon monoxide detection; portable fire extinguishers; fire suppression systems; intruder alarms; access control systems; video management systems; and electronic controls. Its other fire and security service offerings comprise audit, design, installation and system integration, as well as aftermarket maintenance and repair and monitoring services.
\n
Fund managers have a 2.53% relative weighting here. Carrier Global stock investors receive a 0.84% dividend. The Stephens price target of $65 is well above the $52.06 consensus target. Wednesday’s closing share price was $56.89.
\n
Netflix
\n
This Wall Street darling and FANG constituent offers a great entry point after selling off from all-time highs back in January, and it is on the firm’s US 1 list. Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) is the world’s leading internet television network, with more than 120 million members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies per day, including original series, documentaries and feature films.
\n
Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments. Netflix is available on virtually any device with an internet connection, including personal computers, tablets, smartphones, smart TVs and game consoles, and it automatically provides the best possible streaming quality based on the available bandwidth.
\n
Many titles, including Netflix original series and films, are available in high-definition with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound and some in Ultra HD 4K. It appears Netflix may be cracking down on password sharing. Many on Wall Street view such crackdowns as a tailwind, and Netflix is in a strong position to continue price increases this year.
\n
Fund managers have a 2.52% relative weighting. The BofA Securities price target is $680. The consensus target is $613.68, and Netflix stock closed most recently at $512.40.
\n
These five stocks have the highest relative portfolio weightings for active fund managers. Given that the market continues to hit new all-time highs seemingly every other day, it may make sense to buy partial positions here and see if we get a pullback in the seasonally weak time of year.
","source":"lsy1620372341666","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
5 Buy-Rated Stocks That Top Fund Managers Are Loading Up On Now
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n5 Buy-Rated Stocks That Top Fund Managers Are Loading Up On Now\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-08-13 11:09 GMT+8 24/7 wall street\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
To say that hedge fund and mutual fund managers tend to follow the herd is an incredible understatement and always has been. EOG has 3000 locations not on federal lands, which most on Wall Street expect to expand through its exploration.\nFund managers have a 2.55% relative weighting. Shareholders receive a 2.38% dividend. The price target at Piper Sandler is a whopping $110. The posted consensus target is $97.53, and EOG Resources stock closed at $69.46 on Tuesday.\nCarrier Global\nThis huge corporation might be a big beneficiary of an infrastructure build-out. Carrier Global Corp. (NYSE: CARR) provides heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies, worldwide.\nThe HVAC segment provides products, controls, services and solutions to meet the heating and cooling needs of residential and commercial customers. Its products include air conditioners, heating systems, controls and aftermarket components, as well as aftermarket repair and maintenance services and building automation solutions.\nThe Refrigeration segment offers transport refrigeration products and services, including refrigeration and monitoring systems for trucks, trailers, shipping containers, intermodal and rail, as well as commercial refrigeration solutions, such as refrigerated cabinets, freezers, systems and controls.\nThe Fire & Security segment provides various residential and building systems, including fire, flame, gas, smoke and carbon monoxide detection; portable fire extinguishers; fire suppression systems; intruder alarms; access control systems; video management systems; and electronic controls. Its other fire and security service offerings comprise audit, design, installation and system integration, as well as aftermarket maintenance and repair and monitoring services.\nFund managers have a 2.53% relative weighting here. Carrier Global stock investors receive a 0.84% dividend. The Stephens price target of $65 is well above the $52.06 consensus target. Wednesday’s closing share price was $56.89.\nNetflix\nThis Wall Street darling and FANG constituent offers a great entry point after selling off from all-time highs back in January, and it is on the firm’s US 1 list. Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) is the world’s leading internet television network, with more than 120 million members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies per day, including original series, documentaries and feature films.\nMembers can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments. Netflix is available on virtually any device with an internet connection, including personal computers, tablets, smartphones, smart TVs and game consoles, and it automatically provides the best possible streaming quality based on the available bandwidth.\nMany titles, including Netflix original series and films, are available in high-definition with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound and some in Ultra HD 4K. It appears Netflix may be cracking down on password sharing. Many on Wall Street view such crackdowns as a tailwind, and Netflix is in a strong position to continue price increases this year.\nFund managers have a 2.52% relative weighting. The BofA Securities price target is $680. The consensus target is $613.68, and Netflix stock closed most recently at $512.40.\nThese five stocks have the highest relative portfolio weightings for active fund managers. Given that the market continues to hit new all-time highs seemingly every other day, it may make sense to buy partial positions here and see if we get a pullback in the seasonally weak time of year.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CMG":0.9,"CARR":0.9,"BKR":0.9,"NFLX":0.9,"EOG":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":4106,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":156075958,"gmtCreate":1625188622174,"gmtModify":1703737922666,"author":{"id":"3575091991798366","authorId":"3575091991798366","name":"ongkianlee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af4ea72d329c61f3a8ed9226ee44cf3c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575091991798366","authorIdStr":"3575091991798366"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Go go go ","listText":"Go go go ","text":"Go go go","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":10,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/156075958","repostId":"2148820668","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2148820668","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1625188500,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2148820668?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-02 09:15","market":"fut","language":"en","title":"Oil price spike would accelerate U.S. shift to electric vehicles: Kemp","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2148820668","media":"Reuters","summary":"LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) - Oil prices have a complex impact on new vehicle purchases and fuel econom","content":"
LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) - Oil prices have a complex impact on new vehicle purchases and fuel economy in the United States that depends on the extent and expected duration of price changes.
\n
In general, periods of high and rising oil prices have resulted in consumers opting to buy more smaller, lighter and more fuel-efficient cars and trucks, reducing gasoline consumption growth compared with the previous trend.
\n
By contrast, periods of low and falling prices have resulted in consumers opting for larger, heavier, more powerful and less fuel-efficient vehicles, increasing gasoline consumption compared with the prior trend.
\n
The full impact of price changes on fuel consumption is often distributed over several years, across several changes in the economic cycle, which makes attribution and correlations difficult.
\n
In future, however, higher prices could have a much larger and faster impact on gasoline consumption because full-electric and hybrid vehicles have emerged as a viable alternative to gasoline-fuelled cars and light trucks.
\n
Gasoline-hybrid, full-electric and other alternative-powered vehicles accounted for 11% of all new vehicles produced in 2020, up from just 3% in 2015, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency $(EPA.AU)$.
\n
High and rising prices are likely to accelerate the adoption of hybrid and electric vehicles as consumers attempt to reduce fuel bills and regulators push for a faster transition away from gasoline-fuelled powertrains.
\n
If oil prices surge again, as they did between 2005 and 2014, the result is likely to be a relatively rapid and permanent loss of consumption in the United States.
\n
ECONOMY CHOICES
\n
Vehicle fuel economy is the result of choices made by regulators (who set minimum legal standards); motor manufacturers (who make choices about development, production and marketing of model ranges within the envelop set by regulators); and consumers (who make choices about which models to purchase within available ranges).\nOver the last four decades, consumers have shown a clear preference for larger, heavier and more powerful vehicles, with a long-term trend towards more truck-based rather than car-based platforms.\nBetween 1980 and 2020, the share of cars in new vehicles fell from 84% to 43%, while the share of light trucks grew from 16% to 57% (“Automotive trends report”, EPA, January 2021).\nOver the same period, the average weight of new vehicles increased by 949 pounds (29%) and average engine power increased by 143 horsepower (138%) ().\nMotor manufacturers have also generally preferred producing, marketing and selling larger, heavier, more powerful vehicles, and trucks rather than cars, since the profits are higher.\nBut within this long-term trend, periods of high and rising oil prices have temporarily shifted the balance from heavier and more powerful vehicles to more fuel-efficient ones, with both short-term and long-term impacts.\nOIL PRICE IMPACT\nHigh and rising prices encourage greater fuel economy through two channels.\nFirst, when prices are high, consumers opt for smaller, lighter and more fuel-efficient vehicles within existing ranges. This impact is largely short-term and is quickly reversed if prices fall again.\nSecond, high prices encourage regulators tighten fuel-economy standards for future ranges. This impact is long-term, playing out over multiple years, much stickier, and less likely to reverse if prices fall again.\nIn contrast to consumers and motor manufacturers, regulators tend to favour greater fuel efficiency for economic, national security and environmental reasons.\nBut their willingness to push for tougher fuel economy standards in the face of resistance from consumers and lobbying from manufacturers has largely been a function of prices.\nHigh and rising prices make regulators more willing to toughen fuel economy standards and consumers and manufacturers more willing to tolerate them.\nHIGH-PRICE DECADE\nThe impact of high and rising oil prices on fuel economy was most evident between 2004 and 2014, when prices were well above long-term averages, except for a relatively brief period following the financial crisis in 2008/09.\nThe median real price of Brent surged to $105 per barrel between 2005 and 2014, compared with just $40 between 2000 and 2004, and $61 between 2015 and 2021.\nIn response, the federal government tightened fuel economy standards several times while consumers attached higher priority to fuel economy.\nFrom 2005 to about 2014, there was a shift back from trucks towards cars; vehicle weight, which had been increasing, was largely flat; and engine power increased slightly more slowly than before or afterwards.\nAs a result, vehicle fuel economy increased at a compound annual rate of 2.25% over the ten high-priced years between 2004 and 2014, after declining 0.55% per year over the previous ten low-priced years from 1994 to 2004.\nU.S. gasoline consumption, which peaked in 2007, did not exceed this level again until 2016, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (“Petroleum supply monthly”, EIA, June 2021).\nDELAYED EFFECTS\nIn the short term, the impact of oil price changes on whole-fleet fuel economy and gasoline consumption is relatively minor.\nNew fuel-economy standards take years to draft and go into effect, new vehicles account for only a small share of the whole fleet, and older vehicles are retired slowly (less than 10% of the fleet turns over each year).\nBut the impact of higher prices on fuel economy and gasoline consumption increases over time as new standards go into effect and apply to an increasing share of the fleet.\nThe delayed impact of high prices between 2005 and 2014 is still boosting fuel economy and dampening gasoline consumption growth today.\nIf prices spike again over the next few years, regulators, manufacturers and consumers are likely to switch to hybrid and all-electric vehicles much faster, resulting in a permanent loss of oil ever since its Ant Financial IPO was pulled in early Nov 20, with the stock languishing in the doldrums 34% off its high. When considering the health of its long term uptrend, it’s clear that BABA has a relatively strong uptrend bias and has generally been well supported along its key 50W MA. The only other time in the last 4 years that it lost its key 50W MA support level was during the 2018 bear market where BABA dropped about 40%, but was still well supported above the important 200W MA, which we usually consider as the “last line of defense”. Right now BABA is somewhat facing a similar situation again: down 34%, lost the 50W MA, but looks to be well supported above the 200W MA. In addition to that, one interesting observation in price action analysis may lead price action traders/investors to be especially bullish: a potential double bottom formation. BABA's price is seemingly going through a double bottom like it did during the 2018 bear market before it rallied strongly thereafter. As a result, BABA’s current level may offer a possible technical buy entry point now.
\n
BABA's Fundamental Thesis: Rapidly Expanding Growth Drivers
\n
Annual GMV. We also saw its GMV growth being converted into revenue growth as its China commerce revenue grew from 7.67B yuan to 473.68B yuan, at a CAGR of 51% over the last 10 years. While its international footprint remains considerably smaller, it still grew at a CAGR of 30.42% over the last 10 years, which was by no means slow.
\n
Even though China’s e-commerce market is expected to grow considerably slower at a CAGR of 12.4% over the next three years, from 13.8T yuan, equivalent to $2.16T in 2021 to 19.6T yuan, equivalent to $3.06T by 2024, the massive size of the market still offers tremendous upside potential for BABA and its closest competitors to grow into.
\n
E-commerce revenue in the U.S. Data source: Statista
\n
When we take things into clearer perspective by comparing China’s growth rate and size of its market to that of the U.S. e-commerce market, we could see the huge differences in their sizes and growth rates as the U.S. e-commerce market is only expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.67% from 2021 to 2025, which is significantly slower than China’s 12.4%. In addition, the U.S. market is also expected to reach about $563B in total revenue, which is 18% of what the China market is expected to be worth by then.
\n
Peers EBIT Margin and Projected EBIT Margin. Data source: S&P Capital IQ
\n
Even though Alibaba has been facing increased competitive pressures from its fast growing key competitors: JD.com(NASDAQ:JD)and Pinduoduo(NASDAQ:PDD), BABA has already been operating a much more profitable business (both EBIT and FCF), and is expected to continue delivering strong profitability moving forward, which should give the company tremendous flexibility to compete head on with JD and PDD in its quest to extend its leadership. Investors may observe that BABA’s EBIT margin was affected by the one-off administrative penalty of $2,782M that was reflected in its SG&A, and therefore skewed its EBIT margin to the downside.
\n
One important move was the company’s decision to further its investment in the Community Marketplace, which is PDD’s main e-commerce strategy that saw PDD gain a total of 823M AAC in its latest quarter as compared to BABA’s 891M AAC. PDD’s AAC growth is truly phenomenal considering it had only 100M AAC in Q2’C17 as compared to BABA’s 466M AAC in the same period.
\n
Therefore, the momentum of growth has surely swung over to the Community Marketplace segment and BABA would need to pull out its big guns (which it has) to compete for dominance with PDD and JD.
\n
Market size of community group buying in China. Data source: iiMedia Research
\n
Even though the expected total market size of 102B yuan by 2022 represented only about 21.5% of BABA’s FY 21 China commerce revenue, the expected rapid CAGR of 44.22% over 3 years from 2019 to 2022 cannot be missed by BABA. Although the market is still relatively small, BABA cannot allow the current leader in this market: PDD to so easily dominate and gobble up the early high growth rates at the ignorance of everyone else. Certainly BABA must compete and fight for its place in this segment and strive for early leadership to prevent PDD from extending its lead.
\n
PDD profitability metrics & revenue growth forecast. Data source: S&P Capital IQ
\n
We could observe from the above chart that PDD is expected to continue growing its revenue rapidly over the next few years, even though they are expected to normalize subsequently. More importantly, PDD is also expected to increasingly improve its EBIT and FCF profitability moving forward. This shows that the Community Marketplace segment is an highly important growth driver that BABA must use its strength to exploit in order to deny PDD’s claim to undisputed leadership so early on in the game.
\n
China public cloud spending. Data source: CAICT; Sina.com.cn
\n
BABA has a 40% share in China’s public cloud market, way ahead of its key competitors. However, it’s important to note that despite this leadership, BABA is still in heavy investment mode to continue growing its market share as China’s public cloud market is expected to grow from 26.48B yuan in 2017 to 230.74B yuan by 2023, which would represent a CAGR of 43.4%, an incredibly stellar growth rate. This is especially clear when we compare China’s growth rate to the worldwide growth rate (see below) as public cloud spending worldwide is expected to grow from $145B in 2017 to $397B by 2022, that would represent a CAGR of 22.3%.
\n
Worldwide public cloud spending. Source:CnTechPost; Gartner
\n
Therefore, I don’t find it surprising that Ali Cloud has continued to extend its lead over Alphabet’s(NASDAQ:GOOGL)(NASDAQ:GOOG)GCP with a market share of 9.5% in 2020. While AMZN remains the clear leader in the market, its market share has been coming down considerably as public cloud spending continues to expand, indicating that there is a huge potential for growth for multiple players to exist. With BABA’s leadership in the rapidly expanding Chinese market, I’m increasingly bullish on the future profit and FCF contribution from this segment to BABA’s performance over time. Although BABA’s cloud segment has not been EBIT profitable yet (FY 21 EBIT margin: -15%, FY 20 EBIT margin: -17.5%), it’s also useful to note that GCP has also not been profitable for Alphabet as well (FY 20 EBIT margin: -42.9%, FY 19 EBIT margin: -52%). Therefore, we need to give BABA some time to scale up its cloud services in APAC and in China where it is expected to have stronger leadership to allow it to grow faster and investors should expect this to be a highly profitable segment over time.
\n
BABA's Valuations Look Highly Compelling
\n
NTM TEV / EBIT 3Y range.
\n
EV / Fwd EBIT and EV / Fwd Rev trend. Data source: S&P Capital IQ
\n
When we consider BABA's TEV / EBIT historical range, where the 3Y mean read 33.54x, BABA’s EV / Fwd EBIT trend certainly imply a hugely undervalued stock as BABA is still expected to grow its revenue and operating profits rapidly. However, as we wanted to obtain greater clarity over how its counterparts are also valued, we thought it would be useful if we value BABA’s EBIT over a set of benchmark companies that is presented below.
\n
Peers EV / EBIT Valuations. Data source: S&P Capital IQ
\n
By using a blend of historical and forward EBIT, we could see that BABA’s EV / EBIT really looks undervalued when compared to the median value of the set of observed values from the benchmark companies. We derived a fair value range for BABA of $294.98 at the midpoint of the range, that represented a potential upside of 40.5% based on the current stock price of $210.
\n
Risks to Assumptions
\n
Now, it’s obviously baffling to watch how Mr. Market has decided to discount BABA to such an extent as if the company has lost all its key sources of growth, when in fact there is still so much potential upside coming from its commerce segment, the new marketplace initiatives and its growing Ali Cloud segment, among others. The main realistic reason that we identified for the stock's underperformance would simply be regulatory risk. We think investors should acknowledge that this risk is very real and at times huge Chinese companies have found themselves to be subjected to extra scrutiny (which is nothing new in fact) by the Chinese government. What’s critical here is that the Chinese government seemingly has significant clout over the behavior and actions of their tech behemoths that at times may be largely unpredictable. The market certainly hates unpredictability and therefore they may have significantly discounted BABA as a result of that. If investors are not able to handle uncertainty with regard to potentially unpredictable regulatory actions and their aftermath, then BABA may not be appropriate for you. However, if you believe that this is just a blip in BABA’s long journey, then you would surely find BABA's valuations extremely attractive right now, coupled with a long term mindset.
\n
Wrapping It All Up
\n
Alibaba has continued to deliver solid results that demonstrated the strong capability of the company to execute well. As the company continues to operate within a market with so many growth drivers that are expected to drive the company’s future growth, investors should find the current valuations highly attractive.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Alibaba Stock: The Bottoming Process Looks To Be Forming Already
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nAlibaba Stock: The Bottoming Process Looks To Be Forming Already\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-18 09:07 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nAlibaba is probably the most undervalued growth stock right now.\nThe company’s multiple growth drivers within a rapidly expanding market made its valuations look even more baffling.\nThe short...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"09988":"阿里巴巴-W","BABA":"阿里巴巴"},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4435297-alibaba-stock-bottoming-process-forming-buy-now","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1175693382","content_text":"Summary\n\nAlibaba is probably the most undervalued growth stock right now.\nThe company’s multiple growth drivers within a rapidly expanding market made its valuations look even more baffling.\nThe short term technical picture may be turning bullish with a potential double bottom price action signal.\nWe discuss the company’s multiple growth drivers and let investors judge for themselves.\n\nYongyuan Dai/iStock Unreleased via Getty Images\nThe Technical Thesis\nSource: TradingView\nAlibaba’s stock price has endured a terrible 8 months ever since its Ant Financial IPO was pulled in early Nov 20, with the stock languishing in the doldrums 34% off its high. Data source: S&P Capital IQ\nWe could observe from the above chart that PDD is expected to continue growing its revenue rapidly over the next few years, even though they are expected to normalize subsequently. More importantly, PDD is also expected to increasingly improve its EBIT and FCF profitability moving forward. This shows that the Community Marketplace segment is an highly important growth driver that BABA must use its strength to exploit in order to deny PDD’s claim to undisputed leadership so early on in the game.\nChina public cloud spending. Source:China Internet Watch; Canalys\nSize of China public cloud market. Data source: CAICT; Sina.com.cn\nBABA has a 40% share in China’s public cloud market, way ahead of its key competitors. This is especially clear when we compare China’s growth rate to the worldwide growth rate (see below) as public cloud spending worldwide is expected to grow from $145B in 2017 to $397B by 2022, that would represent a CAGR of 22.3%.\nWorldwide public cloud spending. Data source: Gartner\nWorldwide public cloud market share. Source:CnTechPost; Gartner\nTherefore, I don’t find it surprising that Ali Cloud has continued to extend its lead over Alphabet’s(NASDAQ:GOOGL)(NASDAQ:GOOG)GCP with a market share of 9.5% in 2020. Therefore, we need to give BABA some time to scale up its cloud services in APAC and in China where it is expected to have stronger leadership to allow it to grow faster and investors should expect this to be a highly profitable segment over time.\nBABA's Valuations Look Highly Compelling\nNTM TEV / EBIT 3Y range.\nEV / Fwd EBIT and EV / Fwd Rev trend. Data source: S&P Capital IQ\nWhen we consider BABA's TEV / EBIT historical range, where the 3Y mean read 33.54x, BABA’s EV / Fwd EBIT trend certainly imply a hugely undervalued stock as BABA is still expected to grow its revenue and operating profits rapidly. However, as we wanted to obtain greater clarity over how its counterparts are also valued, we thought it would be useful if we value BABA’s EBIT over a set of benchmark companies that is presented below.\nPeers EV / EBIT Valuations. Data source: S&P Capital IQ\nBy using a blend of historical and forward EBIT, we could see that BABA’s EV / EBIT really looks undervalued when compared to the median value of the set of observed values from the benchmark companies. We derived a fair value range for BABA of $294.98 at the midpoint of the range, that represented a potential upside of 40.5% based on the current stock price of $210.\nRisks to Assumptions\nNow, it’s obviously baffling to watch how Mr. However, if you believe that this is just a blip in BABA’s long journey, then you would surely find BABA's valuations extremely attractive right now, coupled with a long term mindset.\nWrapping It All Up\nAlibaba has continued to deliver solid results that demonstrated the strong capability of the company to execute well. As the company continues to operate within a market with so many growth drivers that are expected to drive the company’s future growth, investors should find the current valuations highly attractive.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"09988":0.9,"BABA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3001,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":184460981,"gmtCreate":1623721859243,"gmtModify":1704209542408,"author":{"id":"3575091991798366","authorId":"3575091991798366","name":"ongkianlee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af4ea72d329c61f3a8ed9226ee44cf3c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575091991798366","authorIdStr":"3575091991798366"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like This impact is largely short-term and is quickly reversed if prices fall again.\nSecond, high prices encourage regulators tighten fuel-economy standards for future ranges. Energy Information Administration (“Petroleum supply monthly”, EIA, June 2021).\nDELAYED EFFECTS\nIn the short term, the impact of oil price changes on whole-fleet fuel economy and gasoline consumption is relatively minor.\nNew fuel-economy standards take years to draft and go into effect, new vehicles account for only a small share of the whole fleet, and older vehicles are retired slowly (less than 10% of the fleet turns over each year).\nBut the impact of higher prices on fuel economy and gasoline consumption increases over time as new standards go into effect and apply to an increasing share of the fleet.\nThe delayed impact of high prices between 2005 and 2014 is still boosting fuel economy and dampening gasoline consumption growth today.\nIf prices spike again over the next few years, regulators, manufacturers and consumers are likely to switch to hybrid and all-electric vehicles much faster, resulting in a permanent loss of oil consumption.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"DUG":0.9,"BZmain":0.9,"UCO":0.9,"QMmain":0.9,"DGAZ":0.9,"UGAZ":0.9,"CLmain":0.9,"RBmain":0.9,"UNG":0.9,"DDG":0.9,"DWT":0.9,"NGmain":0.9,"QGmain":0.9,"SCO":0.9,"USO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3849,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":894542862,"gmtCreate":1628842898856,"gmtModify":1676529871981,"author":{"id":"3575091991798366","authorId":"3575091991798366","name":"ongkianlee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af4ea72d329c61f3a8ed9226ee44cf3c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575091991798366","idStr":"3575091991798366"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/894542862","repostId":"1101202302","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1101202302","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1628824140,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1101202302?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-08-13 11:09","market":"us","language":"en","title":"5 Buy-Rated Stocks That Top Fund Managers Are Loading Up On Now","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1101202302","media":"24/7 wall street","summary":"To say that hedge fund and mutual fund managers tend to follow the herd is an incredible understatem","content":"
To say that hedge fund and mutual fund managers tend to follow the herd is an incredible understatement and always has been. While publicly they sometimes seem reluctant to discuss their holdings, especially stocks they are short sellers of, the reality is that managers tend to talk among themselves as they run in the same circles, and often the discussions are centered on their portfolios and what is in them.\nIn a new research report, Savita Subramanian, the superb BofA Securities equity and quant strategist, and her team look at mutual fund and hedge fund holdings. As per usual, many of the top stocks are incredibly crowded. The report said this about current conditions:\n\n Several of the largest stay-at-home beneficiaries are more crowded by funds today than a year ago: The world looks completely different than a year ago. The most basic way to determine the weight of an asset is by dividing the dollar value of a security by the total dollar value of the portfolio.\n\n\nThe five stocks are listed here in order of the highest relative weighting by fund managers, and they all have Buy ratings at top Wall Street firms.
